As the group walked Grover continued to sniff "Grover what are you doing-" annabeth said but got cut off by Grover "somebody's making hamburgers in the middle of nowhere, on a satyr path. Whoever it is.. they're from our world." He finished

Michelle took a deep breath knowing whose house this was. Annabeth scoffed "Oh come on." Percy looked at annabeth confused "what" He asked

"Aunty "Em" has a garden full of petrified stone folks. Yeah, this is someone from our world, all right. Anyone wanna guess what em is for?." Annabeth said

"Oh.." Grover said looking at all the stone people

"Let's get out of here, please, while we still can" Michelle warned the group. As they turned around Alecto flew down Percy quickly passed his box to Grover and got out his sword. Michelle got out her pocket knife

"You should have accepted my offer when you had the chance" Alecto said to Michelle Percy looked at Michelle "offer? What offer is she talking about"

"Not today, friends not on my doorstep " A woman said her heels taping the ground as she walked closer

Percy looked behind him trying to see the person "oh shoot" Michelle said as her head with down making annabeth and Grover look at the ground also.

Michelle tugged on Percy's arm making him look at the ground also "if you have something to resolve, why not come inside and I'll help? Alecto will you be joining us?" The woman asked

Alecto hid even more. "No, well I wouldn't think you would. She won't bother you as long you're with me. But it isn't as though she'll leave either,not if it means reporting that she failed to retrieve the son of Poseidon." The woman said

"How did you-" percy tried to say but got cut off "A forbidden child has been claimed. How long did you think that secret would keep? It's a pleasure to meet you son of Poseidon. I'm Medusa." Medusa said smiling

"Percy don't!" Michelle yelled as she tugged on his arm again "she a monster" Annabeth said Michelle almost looked up

"We all choose who we make our monsters, but, right now , that one wants to tear you limb from limb and I'm offering you lunch. The choice is yours." Medusa said as they heard her footsteps walk away

"I think we can trust her" percy said earning a "what" "Dude!" "I can't explain it, I just... my mom used to tell me her story. And the point was always that she isn't what people think and I definitely trust my mom so I'm going in. You guys do what you want." As percy walked Michelle followed behind him soon followed by Grover

A bell chimes as the trio walks in "Ooooo food!" Michelle exclaimed "you must be hungry. I left snacks in the table while u get something proper going." Medusa said while she was in the kitchen "thank you so much!" Michelle said the Medusa who was still in the kitchen. Michelle sat down quickly ready to eat

"You think it's safe to eat?" Percy said to Grover as he sat by him "percy, I'm not gonna lie to you I'm really hungry,and I'm ready to take that chance" Grover said as the bell chimes while annabeth walked it

"Thanks for coming" percy said annabeth looked at him annoyed "I didn't come for you I came for Michelle just in case." Annabeth said looking at Michelle who got up and hugged her

"You're concerned I would hold a grudge against you two simply because you two are the daughters of Athena? Y'all shouldn't be. We're not our parents after all. And you and I might have more in common than you think. Please sit and eat." Medusa said referring to Michelle and annabeth

Michelle made her way to the table sitting down. And looking for something to eat

Annabeth remained standing up.

"So you're not a monster what are you then?" Michelle asked despite hearing Athena's story's she didn't believe her

"A survivor" the woman voice cracked as she said it "you must be a little bit more than that. There's a fury out there that seems terrified of you" percy said "because she knows what I think about her. I don't like bullies when in shows up on my doorstep, they end up spending a lot more time there than planned for. The gift the god gave me is that I cannot be bullied anymore." Medusa added while sitting down

"What our mother did to you wasn't a gift, it was a curse" Michelle looked at annabeth "Annabeth stop it" Michelle said defending Medusa

"You are loyal to you mother. You are not" Medusa said looking at annabeth than Michelle

"Yes" annabeth responded "you stand but her" "always " annabeth said rolling her eyes

"You love her?" Medusa asked "of course, I do." Annabeth asked "so did I." Medusa responds

"Do you love her" Medusa said looking at Michelle "No I don't." Michelle muttered looking down

"Do you know the story of how I came to be this way?" Medusa asked. Grover looked around before talking "I do" Medusa tilted her head at him "Do you?" She questioned Grover looked around in confusion "Do I?" He said with his mouth full of food.
