CHAPTER FOURTEEN, bionic action hero part one
โโโ ๏ฝฅ ๏ฝก๏พโ: *.โฝ .* :โ๏พ. โโโ
Douglas practically skipped down the steps to the common area, with a blissful, almost giddy, smile on his face as he turned to face the team standing around by the cyber-desks. "Guess who I just got off the phone with?" He pointed at the cellphone that rested in his hand, and decided to answer for them. "Giselle Vickers."
Bree furrowed her brows, though her brown eyes were full of astonishment at what Douglas shared with them. "The big Hollywood filmmaker?"
Leo stepped towards Douglas, matching the wide grin on his face. "She is legendary!" He chimed in with his own opinion on the filmmaker, turning back around to the others. "She made all the killer zombie trucker movies. Because of her, I can't pee at a truck stop."
"That's right. And get this..." The Davenport man started off, and everyone directed their gaze over to him. "Her next blockbuster is gonna be called: Bionic Action Hero."
"Awesome!" Adam grinned, stepping closer to the dirty-blond. "What's it about?"
The smile on Douglas' face faltered slightly at the boy's cluelessness, and Leo shot an odd look back at the teenager. "A Bionic Action Hero." Douglas repeated for him.
"Huh." Adam grimaced slightly, and glanced back at his siblings and Emilia to tell them, "Save your money. Sounds like a flop."
"And the best part," Douglas added, throwing his hand out in front of him, and gestured around at the team, once again, smiling brightly as he made his announcement. "it's based on you guys."
"Oh, no way!" "What?" All of them except Chase, looked rather cheery at the news. Figured, since he shared a different opinion to Leo about those zombie movies, he believed this one might not do so well. And if he was going to be in it, he did not want that. So, from his spot from behind Emilia, he retracted his arms that were wrapped around her waist. "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" He interrupted their joyful moment, making his way around his siblings to get to Douglas. "The same person who makes those lame zombie movies are going to make our movie?" He scoffed. Not a chance. "No way!"
Leo's eyes fumed with anger, gently slamming his fist down on the cyber-desk. "Must you ruin" The boy unclenched his fist, throwing both hands out in front of him with a scowl, "everything?!"
Douglas reached over to gently place his hand on Chase's shoulder. "Relax, Chase. Giselle's an old college friend." He started to explain, reminiscing the times they spent together put that same giddy smile back on his face. "We spent a lot of time in the robotics lab together before she switched careers. We even dated a bit."
"What happened?"
Douglas looked away, almost putting on a down-hearted voice. "Sometimes people grow apart."
Emilia arched a brow amused. "She dumped you didn't she?" She, along with everyone else, could already guess what actually happened. No offence to Douglas. And instead of receiving a glare, like she expected, Douglas dramatically broke down in tears, as he remembered the day when Giselle Vickers broke up with him. "Worst day of my life! And I've been to prison four times." He held up his hand that counted four fingers, before slowly beginning to stand up from the stool, waving the amused teenagers off as he continued. "Anyways, she wants the film to portray bionics accurately, so she's coming over here to research with the actor that's playing you guys."
Chase furrowed his eyebrows in confusion at the singular use of the word actor โ since there were more than one of them. So, shouldn't it be plural instead? "I think you mean actors."
"No." Douglas shook his head. "In the film, there aren't four bionic superhumans. To simplify it there's just one with all your abilities."
"So, who's the actor?" Bree asked.
Douglas waved his hands around. "It's, uh, some new up-and-comer named Troy West." The dirty-blond said with a shrug, his words earning a scoff from Chase at the thought of someone new, and that he didn't know, take up the role of playing a bionic superhuman with all of their abilities. He raised his brows at Douglas. "Oh, so they're just gonna throw some rookie in the leading role? I don't want any part of this."
Bree repeated Chase's words in her head, starting to think he was right. She could somehow see her brother's side of the situation. "You know, I hate to say it, but... I agree with Chase. You only have one chance to have your life turned into a movie. It should be done right." She explained, making Emilia nod in agreement.
"Exactly. So..." Leo walked around Adam to stand next to Douglas and asked him, "who's playing me? Denzel, Will Smith? Oh, who am I kidding?" Leo waved him off with a chuckle. "Those guys can't bring the Dooley."
Douglas had his arms crossed over his chest, and he closed his eyes with a sigh. "Sorry, Leo. There is no character based on you." He informed him, making Leo let out a 'what?'. "It's called Bionic Action Hero, not kind of Bionic sort of Action Hero."
Adam got up from the stool, and stepped around Leo and Douglas to stand between him and Bree, turning to the man. "Look, if they want someone to play a bionic hero, why don't they use me? I'm an actor. I starred in a school play." He reminded everyone with a smirk on his face, looking rather proud at his theatrical experience.
Bree pursed her lips at him. She remembered the play Adam was in, and even though, she, Donald, Emilia and Chase were late, since they were busy getting rid of the mess that the Cheddy app made in Tech Town, they still made it just in time to see Adam's part in the play. "You had one line... and you forgot it."
Adam turned his head to meet the girl's gaze, and narrowed his eyes. "Just because it's in the script, doesn't mean you have to say it." The Davenport boy quickly countered. Bree furrowed her brows, glancing over at Emilia, who smiled playfully and pulled a 'duh' face, causing her to chuckle. Adam looked back at Douglas with a shrug. "Plus, I can do my own stunts." He continued, "The guy who played Superman can't stop a real locomotive, but I can."
Chase arched a brow. "Oh, yeah? Well, the hydra-loop is closing." He pointed out to him. "I bet you can't stop that." Adam spun around quickly, with a gasp escaping his lips as he quickened his steps towards the hydra-loop when the doors began to close. He rammed his arm in, stopping the doors from shutting, "Ha! I did it!" He looked back over at everyone, smiling triumphantly.
"Uh-uh-uh." Chase tuttered, shaking his head as he went to remind him, "You stopped the doors, but you didn't stop the hydra-loop." He pressed a button on the console, causing the hydra-loop to suddenly take off, dragging Adam along, creating a gap line in the middle of it before he dropped to the floor with a groan. "Did it stop?"
Emilia sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose before walking over to help the boy off the ground.

"Is everybody ready?" Douglas came rushing into the common area, frantically searching the room for the four bionic heroes that were stood around by the pillars, waiting for him. If you couldn't tell already, he's a nervous wreck, freaking out about seeing his ex-girlfriend for the first time after she broke his heart back in college. "Troy and Giselle will be here any minute."
"You seem kind of nervous." Bree noted, stepping towards him with Emilia and her brothers by her side. She started to smile, almost teasing him in a way through her next statement. "If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were trying to get your old girlfriend back."
Douglas placed a hand on his chest, scoffing out a laugh at her not-so false accusation while he tried to play it cool. "That's ridiculous." A light chuckle escaped his lips, before it faltered when he moved his hands to gesture to his hair, panicking, clearly wanting to look good for when his former college girlfriend finally arrives to the island. "How's my hair? Too spiky? Not enough spiky? Just the right amount of spike?"
"Never mind the spike. What are you going to do about the grays?" Emilia feigned a gasp, while the others played along with it and winced, watching as Douglas widened his eyes, his jaw dropping at her words. "Grays?!" The man exclaimed, entirely too focused on his hair โ worried that it could be turning gray, that he didn't notice the humorous tone, before the hydra-loop finally reached inside the academy and the doors opened up, revealing Giselle and Troy.
Troy stepped off first, looking around the room in amazement. "Whoa. Look at this place."
Douglas threw his arms out to the sides, greeting him with a blissful smile on his face. "Hey, Troy. Welcome to the Bionic Academy."
"Thanks. I'm really happyโ" As Troy held out his hand to shake Douglas', he was interrupted as the man stepped straight past him and over to Giselle Vickers, who stopped on the step just outside the hydra-loop doors. "Giselle." The smile on his face grew even wider.
"Douglas. Nice to see you." Giselle smiled politely and shook his hand. Douglas made an attempt to kiss her hand, but she retracted it before he could and he ended up kissing his own hand. The smile grazed across Giselle's lips, dropped into more of an awkward one and her brows rose. "Still rockin' the same old spikes, huh?"
She walked past him, although, her steps faltered as Douglas tried to say, "Well, I can change. What do you like?" He asked, as she turned back to face him. "Side part, middle part, mullet?"
The Hollywood filmmaker simply put on a smile, before facing the four bionic teenagers standing across from her and Troy. "Hi, I'm Giselle." She greeted. "So honored to be telling your story. And thisโ" She motioned towards Troy to introduce him to the team, "is Troy West, the actor who will be playing you in the movie."
"Hi." Bree waved, looking at the newcomer with a flirtatious grin. Emilia glanced over, and arched a brow at her best-friend. It seems as though Bree's found a new crush. Emilia pursed her lips, before linking her arms around Chase's left one, pursing her lips as she tried to hide the smirk on her face, making her boyfriend chuckle.
"What's up, guys? It's really nice to meet you."
"Ah, I get it now." Adam realised when he looked at the boy standing in front of him. "He's got my body, a mixture between Emmy and Bree's hair, but I'm not seeing the Chase. He's perfect." Adam looked back at his siblings and Emilia, wearing a beaming smile as his brother groaned.
"Oh, come on." Chase expressed his doubts about the new actor who's going to play them, throwing out his right arm towards him, silently rolling his eyes. "You seriously buy that this guy's bionic? I mean, compared to meโ"
Adam shook his head, quickly telling him, "Dude, you really don't wanna go there."
Emilia sighed and turned her head slightly to kiss Chase on the side of his shoulder, before quickly muttering, "Just ignore him."
"Hey," The four bionic heroes directed their gazes back to Troy who was talking to them, with a look on his face that screamed: a fan who has just met a favourite celebrity of theirs. "thanks for letting us come here to do research. I can't believe I'm actually standing here with four bionic heroes and a bansheeโ"
"I'm not seeing anyone." Bree practically jumped, pushing herself to stand in front of Troy. The girl stammered nervously, realising how that must've sounded and perhaps made her look desperate to him. "Uhh... that's not normally what I lead with, but I'm not seeing anyone." She repeated to Troy, who simply smiled at her.
"We won't get in your way. I'm just here to check out the academy, so I can make the movie as real as possible." Giselle explained to the team.
"And I'm just here to learn about your bionics, so my performance will feel authentic." Troy added.
"Ah, totally get where you're coming from, Troy. I'm a big-time actor myself." Adam pointed out to him, with the biggest and proudest smile spread across his face, earning Troy and Giselle to raise their brows in curiosity.
"Really? Movies?" Troy asked, moving to stand in front of Adam.
"Uh, school plays." He told him. "But, I did see a mom filming it on her phone, so it's only a matter of time before it hits theaters."
"...I see." Troy slowly nodded his head. "So, what did you feel was the key to your character's inner life?" He wondered.
Adam clicked his tongue, letting out, "Oh, I got to wear a cowboy hat and ride a wooden pony." The boy turned around and galloped away, imitating someone riding a pony.
Chase pursed his lips. "And that's all you need to know about Adam." He stated towards the new actor, nodding amusingly as Emilia snickered.
"Why, hello." Leo came walking in from the other entrance/exit, making his presence known to the famous Hollywood filmmaker and quickly shook her hand. "You must be Giselle. I'm Leo, the fifth and most important member of the team."
Giselle smiled politely at him. "Of course, I know all about you Leo."
"Well, then" Leo turned Giselle around, wrapping his arm around her shoulder, "you also know that my fascinating life would make a fantastic sequel. Or, we can just forget about the little cocktail weenies and focus on the main course. Me."
Douglas stepped around Giselle, and shoved Leo across the room, "Why..." the boy stopped behind Adam, glaring back at Douglas. "don't you guys go show Troy some bionic moves?" He suggested to the team, gently pushing Troy forward with a chuckle before he turned to Giselle with a cheery grin and wrapped his arm around her shoulder, making her uncomfortable. "That'll give Giselle a chance to walk around this place and remember how adorable I am."
Giselle plastered a smile on her face and feigned a laugh. "Then, we are going to be walking for a very long time." She looked away with a grimace as she walked off with Douglas.
Emilia let out a puff of air, shaking her head. "Oh that poor woman." Everyone chuckled at Emilia's words, as Chase put his hand on her lower back before guiding her out of the room, with the rest of the group in tow.
โโโ ๏ฝฅ ๏ฝก๏พโ: *.โฝ .* :โ๏พ. โโโ
"So you really think you have what it takes to be a bionic superhuman?" Adam asked Troy, standing in the middle of the training area with Bree right next to them. Chase was on the platform, leaning on one of the punching bags as Emilia leaned on him, watching them engage in conversation.
Troy shrugged. "I hope so. Hey, I've been training really hard." He said, wanting to prove to the four bionic heroes that he could succeed in this role of playing a bionic superhuman with their abilities combined. "Check this out." A small smile grazed across his lips, "It's one of Chase's abilities." Troy turned away from them and brought two fingers to his temple as his face contorted into an intense expression, imitating what he believed Chase looked like while doing a bionic scan.
Chase instantly pulled away from Emilia, almost making her fall, before he hopped down from the platform and ran over to them, aiming his glaring eyes at Troy. "What was that?!"
Emilia closed her eyes and huffed, slowly making her way over to the others while Troy directed his smile over to Chase and shrugged at him. "It was your bionic eye scan. Hey," He stepped past Bree to stand closer to Chase, "don't worry. Once they add some special effects, it'll look really cool."
"No, it won't," Chase scoffed, "'cause you're doing it wrong. It goes like this." He turned around and brought two fingers to his temple, impersonating himself. Troy furrowed his brows and flicked his confused gaze over to Emilia who just shrugged, not knowing what to say to him, before he looked back at Chase.
"Oh, thanks, man." He played along. "Yeahโ no, I totally get how that's different." He looked back at Adam, sharing a puzzled expression at the fact that there was absolutely no difference between their versions of doing a bionic scan. Meanwhile, Bree had stepped away to pull Chase to the side, with Emilia following suit. "Yeah, okay, so now who's helping out with the cheesy movie?"
"I am not helping, I am critiquing his mediocre performance." Chase spat out, making Bree wipe her cheek with her finger.
"That's it. Come with me." Emilia let out a puff of air and latched her hand onto his wrist before she dragged Chase out the room, hearing Bree mutter out in relief, "Thank you."
โโโ ๏ฝฅ ๏ฝก๏พโ: *.โฝ .* :โ๏พ. โโโ
Douglas and the five members of the bionic team decided to visit the studio, Stage 9, where Giselle was filming the movie. The Hollywood filmmaker started leading them over to the sets, giving them a preview of the behind the scenes. "I'm so glad you guys could come by the stage and watch us film."
The five bionic teenagers wore beaming smiles on their faces as they took a look around the film set in amazement. At the same time, Douglas opened his mouth to speak, pointing out to Giselle, "Just so you know, I tried keeping the hair flat but it won't stay that way." She looked away, rolling her eyes at him as Emilia snorted.
"Yeah, that wasn't a pretty picture." She quipped, and Douglas glanced back at the Hunter girl with a glare. Apparently, when Douglas was talking to Giselle yesterday, one of his many attempts to try and impress his ex-girlfriend was to get rid of his one and only spiky hairstyle and chose to flatten it down. Thankfully, Leo being the greatest friend that he is, made sure to take a picture and sent it to Emilia.
Giselle raised her arms in the air, gesturing to the sets in front of them. "And this is our Hollywood version of the Bionic Academy."
"Looks awesome."
Chase faced the Dooley boy with his hands on his hips, looking like he definitely disagreed with his opinion on the film set. "No, it doesn't." Still mad about how the movie is being made, as you can tell. He gestured around the set to point out what was wrong with it. "The walls look fake. The floor looks fake. Nothing in here looks like the real academy."
Bree let out a hum and crossed her arms over her chest. "But your complaining is very authentic."
One of the crew members had approached Giselle from behind, before whispering something to her and she rolled her eyes and groaned. "Ugh I gotta take this call for my other movie." She informed the group and chuckled lightly. "Killer Zombie Orthodontists."
Emilia arched a brow. "Orthodontists?"
"Yeah, I know, we're..." Giselle cringed, sounding like she agreed with Emilia, "pretty much out of ideas." She walked off just as Troy was walking by with the script in his hand. Once Bree noticed him passing by, she rushed over. "Hey, Troy."
He stopped at the sound of her voice, and looked awkward as he greeted the girl. "Oh, hey." As the actor went to walk away, Bree stopped him again with her brows furrowed. "Hey, uh, so..." The girl let out a small chuckle, showing her confusion on the matter as she questioned him about where he went yesterday after they apparently arranged to hang out together. "what happened? You said you were gonna meet me at the pool, and then you left the island without even saying goodbye."
Troy turned to her with a shrug. "I mean, what do you want me to say?" Chuckling awkwardly, Troy threw his arms up again. "Not much of a water person." Then he finally walked away and left Bree on her own.
Emilia, who was just watching their conversation from afar, heard everything, and made her way to Bree as soon as she saw the boy leave. "You okay, Bree?" She asked in a gentle tone.
The Davenport girl exhaled deeply before looking over at her friend with a brave face. "Don't worry, Em. I'm fine. Just confused that's all." She said to reassure Emilia, although the banshee still didn't look convinced, she nodded anyway.
"Alrighty then." Emilia wrapped her arm around the girl's shoulder, receiving a smile from Bree as they started walking over to join the team. Just as they reached the others, Giselle walked back into the room with a cheery smile on her face, holding scripts in her hand. "Great news. Since you were all so helpful, I'm putting you in the scene that we're about to shoot." She announced.
This definitely brought a smile to Chase's face, as well as everybody else's. "Wait, you want us to be in the movie?" Bree asked her, like she couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"Yep. But instead of playing bionic heroes, you get to play the bad guys. What do you think?" The Vickers woman asked, handing the scripts over to Emilia for her to pass around.
"I think Leo Dooley better have a line."
Adam began flipping through the pages as Chase opened the first page, already feeling pumped up about the movie. Finally. "Ah! We're gonna be in the movie! We're gonna be in the movie, we're gonna be in the movie!" He shrieked.
"Oh, so now you're on board."
"Hey," Chase closed his script and looked over at Douglas, "Troy starring in a bionic movie, lame. Me starring in a bionic movie. Awesome!" He let out in a high-pitched voice.
Giselle smiled. "Great. So then it's all settled. Any questions?"
"Uh, just one." Adam looked up from his script to Giselle and genuinely asked. "What time will this be on tonight?"
โโโ ๏ฝฅ ๏ฝก๏พโ: *.โฝ .* :โ๏พ. โโโ
"This is so cool." Chase commented from his spot in his chair in the hair and make up area. Emilia, Leo and Douglas were sat down alongside him as a couple people from hair and make up were just finishing up doing their hair for the scene. Adam and Bree stood to the side with their finished hair and make up, also wearing their costumes, while they waited for the others. "I finally get to play a bad guy." Chase moved his gaze to the mirror in front of him and stood up from his chair. "Chase Davenport: international bad boy."
Leo's brows were knitted, watching the boy strike poses in the mirror. "Settle down, bad boy. Your mascara's running." He quipped, before glancing beside him, arching a brow at Emilia who looked at him. "What do you see in him again?"
Emilia shook her head and rolled her eyes before flicking her eyes over to Chase who just shot Leo a look for that last comment. "I don't get it." Bree huffed, as everyone turned their heads to look at her. "Troy won't even talk to me, it's so weird."
"Not really." Adam replied. "Boys blow you off all the time."
"Adam." Emilia quickly reprimanded, gritting her teeth slightly at the boy who shrugged. Though, it seems like Bree didn't look offended by his words when she gasped loudly as something else came to mind. "What if he's got another girl on set?"
"So what?" Douglas turned his hands over as if he was shrugging at her, "You just met the guyโ"
"We had a connection! I'm not crazy!" Bree yelled desperately, and Douglas put his hand forward to indicate for her to calm down. Bree took a breath before continuing, "Ok, look, all I'm saying is that if he is seeing someone else, I need to know about it... so I can go sabotage it. Come on, Emmy!" She stormed off, shouting for her best friend to follow after her. Emilia sighed before standing from her chair. "See ya." She muttered, kissing Chase on the cheek and rushed off after the brunette.
"Girls. Always going to that desperate place." The dirty-blond haired man chuckled, before gasping out loud. "I hope Giselle's not seeing someone else." He practically jumped off his seat when the woman who was doing his hair wasn't even done yet, and ran off.
Meanwhile with the girls, Bree knocked on Troy's dressing room door before opening it and looked around the room. "Troy?" However, the dressing room came up empty. Bree looked behind her to call out to her friend in a hushed tone, "Em, he's not in here. Come on." The speedster entered the room with Emilia following suit, and made sure to close the door behind her. Bree looked around the room, noticing the small table that was beside the couch was covered with pictures of Troy, and she stepped over to pick one up before snickering to herself. "Self-absorbed much?" The expression on her face dropped into a dreamy smile. "Wow. Even his pictures smell good." She commented as she pulled the picture to her chest.
Emilia stared at her oddly. "Damn it woman, pull yourself together." She told her friend, before the laptop that seemed to have been left open on the vanity desk, chimed, catching their attention and Bree placed the framed photo of Troy back down on the table.
"Aha." Bree smirked and headed over to the other side of the room where the vanity desk was, with Emilia close behind. "Let's see who Mr. Popular is getting messages from." Just as she was about to search further in the laptop, their ears perked up at the sound of Giselle's voice coming from outside the room. "This won't take long."
"Hurry up. I gotta be on set." Troy had reminded his boss as the sound of their footsteps got closer, and the girls managed to activate their invisibility app in time, and disappeared just before the door opened and Giselle and Troy walked in.
"This is what I wanted to show you." The Vickers woman was saying as she pulled her laptop out of her bag and opened it on the table just in front of them. "I finally finished analyzing Chase's chip schematics."
"And Emilia?" Troy asked to be reminded of what was happening with her, and the current invisible Hunter girl raised a brow in curiosity at her name being mentioned.
"Just make sure we manage to get what he needs. He's the one that wants her, not me."
"Then we're good." With a smile on his face, Troy looked back at his boss for confirmation.
"As soon as they're ready to film, we'll do it." The filmmaker replied, before Bree pushed the table holding Troy's framed photos over, gaining their attention. Troy gasped loudly and rushed past his boss to get to his framed pride and joys. "Oh, my pictures!" The boy was scrambling around to try and pick his photos off the ground, and looked up at Giselle to plead. "Help me!" With both of them distracted and occupied with the fallen pictures, Emilia switched the laptops so that she and Bree held the one with Chase's schematics on.
As Troy gently placed his last picture back on the table, Giselle shoved the back of his head. "Come on, let's get outta here." She turned and grabbed her bag and the laptop off the table โ unaware of the fact that they had been switched, and left the dressing room. Troy stood up straight, taking in his empty walls with a grin. "I think I need more pictures of me."
As soon as Troy made his exit, the girls were free to become visible again, appearing to be shocked by what they just heard. "I'm sorryโ what?" The blue-eyed girl quietly panicked, stepping over to the laptop with Bree and started going through it, to see if they could find out what Giselle and Troy were planning to do. And who was this he Giselle was talking about that had an interest in Emilia?
โโโ ๏ฝฅ ๏ฝก๏พโ: *.โฝ .* :โ๏พ. โโโ
"Okay." Giselle walked onto the training area set, clapping her hands to catch the attention of Leo, Chase, Adam and Douglas who were warming up for their scene. "Everybody, we're about to start filming. Positions, please."
The team made their way out the room as Giselle walked over to Troy who was standing next to the props table. "Where's Bree and Emilia?" The boy asked when he noticed the girls were nowhere to be seen, especially when they needed to be there for their plan to work.
Giselle looked back towards the doorway that the boys had just gone through, letting out a sigh and turned back to Troy and said. "We'll take care of them later." She bent down to grab a weapon that was bigger than her head before passing it over to Troy. "Just make sure you use the real weapon on them."
"My pleasure." Troy smirked, before the sound of a bell rang, indicating for Giselle to start filming the scene that the others were waiting for.
"Okay. Just like we rehearsed." Giselle turned on her heel, calling out, "Douglas, you and the kids will say your lines, then Troy will shoot you." She gave them quick instructions, now standing next to one of the big cameras before calling out once again. "Lights. Camera. Action!"
Adam, Chase, Leo and Douglas made their way in before the latter was the first to say his line. "Any sign of the bionic superhuman?" His eyes darted around the training area, as Chase, who currently wore the biggest grin on his face, clearly failing to hide his excitement in the scene, spoke next, and said rather enthusiastically. "I think we lost him."
"Told you we'd..." Adam trailed off, his eyes going to his hand, already starting to forget his line. He turned his hand over to remind himself what he had to say because he wrote it on the inside of his palm. "get away with it."
"Great work, everyone." Leo stepped forward and turned to give a thumbs-up to the camera, before Troy finally showed up and he entered from the other side of the training area, whilst holding the weapon that Giselle handed to him. "I agree. Thanks for making it so easy." He aimed the huge weapon towards the boys, and just as he went to pull the trigger, Emilia and Bree came speeding in and slammed themselves into Troy, knocking the weapon right out of his hands.
"No!" Giselle exclaimed as Emilia hurried to grab the weapon off the ground and Bree stood by her side, both of them aiming their glares to Troy and Giselle.
"What are you doing?"
"You just ruined the scene!"
"And my take was perfect." Leo quickly chimed in after Douglas and Chase, turning to give another thumbs-up to the camera. They were all puzzled by the girls' actions just then, which was fair, due to their lack of knowledge of Giselle and Troy's plan.
"This is all a trap." Bree was the one to reveal the news to them as Emilia kept the weapon pointed away from her family, listening to Bree elaborate on the matter. "Giselle lured us here so that Troy could take us out with this." She said, gesturing to the weapon in Emilia's hands.
"Girls, that's a prop."
Emilia arched a brow at Chase. "Really?" The girl turned away and shot at the first camera she saw in front of her, which happened to be the one that Giselle was standing next to, and it happened to burst into flames, making Giselle jump back from the impact. "Because I don't think it is."
"Whoa! What just happened?"
"Wait!" Adam called, causing everyone to turn to him. "I'm lost. Are we still doing the scene?"
"No!" Bree said exasperatedly, looking over at her team. "This isn't even a real movie."
"What?" Douglas furrowed his brows and flicked his gaze over to his ex-girlfriend. "Giselle, what is going on?"
"Go ahead. Tell them." Emilia pressed, and kept the weapon aimed at her.
Giselle chuckled evilly. "With pleasure. The only reason I've been making movies all these years is to fund my army of advanced android fighting machines. And just when I was about to unveil my brilliant creationsโ along came Adam, Chase, Bree and Emilia to steal my thunder."
"And Leo." He interjected quite loudly and rolled his eyes in frustration. "Why do people always forget about Leo?!"
"I have my androids all of your abilities. The only one I couldn't crack was super intelligence." The filmmaker pointed out in anger as people started to fill the area around them.
Douglas furrowed his eyebrows. "Why didn't you just ask me for it?" He wondered, before he leant closer to her and smiled giddily. "We could have worked together."
"I don't wanna work with you." Giselle responded bluntly, making Douglas look back at his team in disbelief. "My technology is far superior. You're my competition and the first role in business is to eliminate the competition."
"Really?" Adam scrunched his brows and looked back at Leo, befuddled. "I thought it was location, location, location."
"This is crazy!" Douglas turned away from Giselle and waved his hands around as he made his way to the back of the line. "There is no way that your android technology is that advanced."
Giselle laughed. "Oh, really?" The woman arched a brow, and looked over at Troy who was taking his jacket off at that moment. "Troy, why don't we show them?" He smirked, dumping his jacket on the ground before facing the team as Giselle pressed a button on her watch and all the people that crowded around the bionic team, appeared as androids before turning back to human form.
"Troy's a killer android?"
Chase made a sarcastic remark towards his sister who was consumed with guilt. "You really know how to pick 'em Bree."
"Now that I have the schematics of Chase's chip, I can give all my androids his intelligence." Giselle smugly pointed out, still not knowing that Emilia and Bree currently held the laptop with Chase's schematics in their possession.
"Wait." This seemed to catch Chase's attention as he aimed his confused gaze towards Giselle and Troy. "How do you have my schematics?"
Troy smirked at this. "Bree gave them to me." He answered, receiving a scoff from Chase, who then flicked his eyes down to his sister. "What?" Chase asked, wanting to see if he heard him right.
"I'm sorry. He tricked me!"
"Look, Chaseโ" Emilia tried to come to the girl's defence. Yes, Bree did a bad thing, but after being informed by what happened by Bree when they'd left the dressing room, she thought about it and slowly she began to understand her side. The girl was responsible yes, but she couldn't blame Bree for getting carried away by a crush. So, instead of blaming her, why couldn't they just help her fix this mistake? But, before Emilia could finish her sentence, Troy came up behind her and snatched the weapon out of her hands before shoving her to the ground.ย
"Emilia!" Bree ran over to check on the girl as did Chase, while the others stumbled back slightly in fear now that Troy had the weapon in his hands. Emilia groaned, taking Chase and Bree's hands to help her off the ground before she glared daggers towards Troy. "Now I wish we broke those photos of you in your dressing room." She scowled.
"Whaโ"
"Enough." Giselle interrupted Troy who widened his eyes when he found out Bree and Emilia were responsible for what happened to all his precious framed photos of him in the dressing room. "Nice work, Troy. Finish them off."
"Wait." Bree spoke up and pulled the laptop from her leather jacket, holding it up for Giselle and Troy to see it very clearly. "If you destroy me, you destroy Giselle's laptop, with Chase's schematics. That's right. Emilia switched them."
"Oh, who cares?" Giselle rolled her eyes, like that piece of information didn't bother her in the very slightest. "I've got backups all over my servers."
"Not if we create a virus that takes out your entire network." Chase rushed over to his sister, calling to her, "Quick! Hand me the laptop!" Though, he didn't give her much time as he grabbed it from her and ran over to where there was an empty space for him to create the virus on the laptop.
"We need time to build the virus. Cover us!" The Davenport man instructed the teenagers while he went over to Chase to help him out.
"Take them out!" Giselle ordered her androids to fight the bionic heroes. Just as Giselle demanded that, Emilia super-speeded towards Troy to slam him down to the ground like he had shoved her moments prior. "Karma's a bitch, Troy. And now, he's all yours Bree." She smirked, letting Bree get her chance to fight Troy as she was met with one of Giselle's other androids coming at her and the fight continued.
Emilia ducked down to dodge another one of the android's attempt to hit her, before hovering her hand over their steeled fist, using her other hand to push forward and a scream came barrelling out of her throat and towards the android, who flew backwards at the sound. Seeing as she was free at that right second, she scanned the set and noticed Bree, Adam and Leo were occupied with the androids they were fighting and quickly, she ran over to where Chase and Douglas were and stood in front of them to stop any androids from getting to them.
"How are we doing, Chase?" Emilia yelled, just as another android came charging at her, so the girl turned her focus onto the fight, only just hearing Chase shout back, "We're nearly there!"
As Troy was about to make his way to pick up the weapon that seemed to be free, Leo called out for Adam from the floor. "Adam!" The bionic super-human directed his eyes over to the weapon and activated his heat-vision, thankfully destroying it.
"Got it! The virus is out." Chase revealed to them all, as Douglas clapped his hands and laughed at Giselle's failure to stop them. "We just fried all your servers! Just like you fried my heart."
Emilia let out a breath of relief, brushing a strand of hair out of her face, before flinching slightly as Chase smashed the laptop on the ground, making it shatter to pieces.
"Surround them!" Giselle ordered her androids toย do so, bar two, as Troy and another android came up behind Emilia and Chase and punched them hard enough in the back to knock them out. They lifted them over their shoulders and carried them off set, worrying their family.
"Hey, where are you taking them?!" Adam yelled at Giselle who stopped and turned around to face the team that were surrounded by her androids that they wouldn't be able to make one move.
Giselle's eyes hardened. "Since you destroyed my network, there's only one way to get Chase's chip. I'll have to rip it out of him myself." She revealed her plan. "As for Emilia... well, you won't have to worry about me dealing with her, when someone else has volunteered to do the job." She smirked.
"Not if we stop you."
Giselle let out a laugh, not the slightest bit scared of the threat she just received. "That's not gonna happen. This entire set is rigged with explosives." She tapped her watch to open up the walls in the set that are in fact, packed with explosives. "And once they detonate, the world will think it's an unfortunate accident that claimed the lives of the bionic not-so-superhumans." Adam immediately went to charge at her, but he got knocked down to the ground by one of the androids. "Goodbye, Douglas. And thanks for giving me the last piece of the puzzle." She pressed another button on her watch, making a timer appear on the wall behind her, counting down from 2 minutes and 45 seconds, before she walked off the set.
