CHAPTER TWO, bionic rebellion

The six bionic humans were still stood in front of each other in the common area when Bree looked back at the monitor in worry before turning to her siblings. "What are we gonna do? We have to save Mr. Davenport!"

"And Perry." Adam added.

Chase nodded at his brother. "Absolutely. Time permitting." He told Adam, moving his hand around as he expressed.

"You know what? I'll save you the trip. You can say goodbye to both of them from here." The leader of the rebels said, pressing a button on his watch so Donald and Perry were able to see them and communicate.

Perry pointed at the monitor in the hydra loop upon seeing them. "Look! It's the mechanical people."

"Yes, we're saved." Donald sighed in relief after following Perry's gaze, sitting up on the seat, only for the smile to fall off his face when Sebastian who stood behind the three bionic siblings corrected him. "Not exactly."

"Sebastian."

Chase pointed over at the spoken boy, looking at the screen to inform the two adults. "He blew up the hydra loop tunnel and cut off your oxygen supply."

Adam nodded along before chiming in. "So, bad news we're gonna need a new hydra loop."

"Adam." Bree called, looking at Adam in disbelief who simply shrugged before going to defend himself. "Well, I can't tell him we're gonna need a new father too. That'd be rude."

Donald sighed from the hydra loop, standing up from the seat to get a closer look at the screen before he asked. "Look, will someone please tell me what's going on?"

Bree gestured to the trio behind her as she went to inform Donald. "Sebastian knows about Krane and he's trying to start a rebellion with the rest of the students."

"What?" Donald furrowed his brows in question, indicating he was shocked about Sebastian's knowledge of the bionic man they recently fought. "How does he know about Krane?"

His question was answered when Bree and Adam both looked towards a nervous looking Chase who eventually confessed through his nervous state. "I might have told him." This response made Donald sigh in annoyance before Chase turned to look at Sebastian with betrayal as he continued. "Only because I thought we were friends."

"See? There's your first mistake. Who'd wanna be your friend?" Perry rhetorically asked, pointing at the screen before she was pushed back by Donald.

Sebastian took a step forward, looking at Donald through the screen. "Chase has been very helpful, and once my brothers and sisters hear what really happened to our father, they'll join me. Then... we can fulfill his dreams of bionic humans ruling the world."

"Guys, don't let him near the other students. They're not ready to know about Krane yet. They won't understand why we had to destroy their creator." Donald told the three mentors.

Sebastian smirked. "Then you probably shouldn't have just told them." He informed, referring to how the students in the training area heard everything they said.

"Wait a second. Where is Emilia?" Donald asked upon noticing the lack of presence from the Hunter girl.

"Yeah, wouldn't her spider sense go off, detecting when someone's in a dangerous situation?" Perry nodded along through her thought.

"She's not Spider-man." Adam shook his head as he reminded Perry before his face dropped at the thought and turned to Chase. "Wait, is she?"

"No!" Chase huffed in annoyance, shaking his head at his brother. "But Perry is right about her knowing when we are in a life-threatening situation." Chase trailed off, sighing as he looked over at Bree.

The brown-haired girl nodded with him, her lips tugged down into a frown as she spoke. "Emilia, would normally be the first one here and if not, she would be here if she sensed us being in danger. Which means..." She trailed off, her gaze turning towards Sebastian who wore an evil smirk, deciding now was the time to reveal his plan on what he did with Emilia. Bree's eyes darkened at the theory, knowing Sebastian was responsible for Emilia's whereabouts. "Where is she?!"

"Where is who? You know, there are many girls at this academy, you need to be more specific, Bree." Sebastian smirked, trying to act like he had no clue on who she was talking about.

As if he was starting to theorise what Bree was getting at, Chase practically growled at Sebastian at the thought of his girlfriend being in harm making him question. "Sebastian, enough with the attitude. Where the fuck is my girlfriend? And if you hurt her, I swear to God—"

He went to step towards him when Adam held him back before Sebastian's smirk widened and glanced down at his watch. "Instead of me telling you, how about I just show you?"

Sebastian pressed a button on his watch, making everyone look back towards the monitor to see Emilia in the weapons area with her arms hung up by chains, just like how she was trapped in Douglas and Marcus' evil lair.

The leader of the rebellion ensured that Donald, Perry and the students in the training area could watch what was going on as well as Chase was the first one to speak up. "Emilia!"

"Emilia, can you hear us?! Emilia!" Bree yelled, looking at the screen in worry, getting deja vu from the time they were fighting Douglas and Marcus.

"Don't bother. She can't hear a word you guys are saying and you see those handcuffs attached to her ankles?" Sebastian hummed. "Yeah, those are disabled so she won't be able to use her bionics to get free."

"Can't she just—" Perry went to say before a hand covered her mouth, stopping her from finishing the sentence. She looked towards Donald who shook his head, mentally telling her not to ask what she was going to, because he had no idea how much Sebastian knew about Emilia's banshee abilities.

"What the hell did you do to her?!" Chase yelled, worried for Emilia. Especially when he could notice the lack of energy coming from the banshee, watching as her eyes began to flutter along with the blood that was rushing down her forehead.

"Well, for me to go along with my plan, I had to do something to make sure she doesn't stop me from succeeding." Sebastian explained, his lips tugging up into a smirk making the mentors, Donald and Perry gulp in fear.

"Sebastian, don't even think about hurting her!"

"It's too late now." Sebastian smirked, pressing a button on his watch before Emilia disappeared off the screen.

"Sebastian, why are you doing this? We're the ones who took out Krane." Bree questioned, upon seeing Adam was too busy trying to hold Chase back from killing Sebastian.

"Exactly. And now you're gonna know what it feels like to lose your father." Sebastian was quick to snap, before smirking once again. "But now, you'll know what it feels like to lose two of the people closest to you."

"Krane wasn't a father to you. He was a deranged madman." Bree snapped, reminding the boy but as if it was no use, Sebastian ignored her and once again, shot back. "He was our leader. And he was gonna prove to the world that bionic humans are superior. Until you all got in our way."

"Is it too late to say we're sorry?" Adam asked, slowing letting go of Chase who surprisingly didn't charge for Sebastian straight away.

Sebastian sent Adam a strange look before Bree spoke up, a look of determination crossing over her face. "That's it. I'm saving Mr. Davenport and Emilia. Chase, get the door!"

Chase nodded along, turning around to go to the console as Bree super-speeded ahead towards the door, only for Lexi to get in front, using one of her bionic abilities to block the doors making Bree crash into the material, falling to the floor.

Adam ran over to help Bree off the ground before pointing his finger at Lexi. "I knew it! You're an interior decorator too."

"It's carbonex and it's impossible to break." Lexi explained, scowling at the two mentors.

Adam smirked, chuckling at her comment as he took a step forward to remind the student. "Oh, yeah, well, I'm Adam Davenport and... I break everything."

He stepped towards the door, turning his head to smile at Bree before turning back and used his super-strength to break the door. To his surprise, he failed as he cried out in pain from injuring his hand. "Yeah, she's right."

"It's called Molecular Manipulation." Lexi told them first. "You didn't know I had it because I've been saving it for a special occasion."

Bree threw out her hand, gesturing towards the boy with Chase as she questioned. "How long have you been working with him?"

"Long enough to know our bionics are being wasted. We're protecting humans when we should be controlling them." Lexi said, looking between the two mentors.

Meanwhile with Chase and Sebastian, the latter of the two held his arms out to the side, wearing an evil smirk as he spoke. "So, where were we? Oh, that's right. Davenport and your precious protector girlfriend are goners. I'm taking over the island, and- oh, what am I forgetting?"

He placed his fingers under his chin, pretending to think when he yelled. "Oh, yeah. This!" He threw his arms out in front of him, using one of his bionic abilities to blast Chase across the room, making him groan in pain as his back hit the ground.

Sebastian smirked, watching as Adam and Bree rushed over to help Chase off the floor. He held his arms out to the side, continuing to taunt the boy. "Come on, Chase. You should've seen that coming. After all, you're the one that unlocked the ability for me."

"He what?" Bree raised a brow, surprised by this information, making her look back down at her brother who continued to groan in pain.

"Okay, do you want to hit him again or is it my turn?" Adam wondered, looking at Sebastian.

"Listen up, bionic soldiers." Sebastian announced to the students in the training area as he looked at the monitor.

From inside the training area, Leo looked at the screen, sighing in annoyance. "Oh, great."

"Now you all know the truth. That Davenport, the man who pretends to be your saviour is actually your jailer. And it's time to take back your freedom!" Sebastian announced.

"Freedom!" The students, not including Leo, raised their fists in the air.

"Or keep things the way they are!" Leo objected, making all the students look back at him with a strange look. "Are!"

"Are you gonna stand by the people who destroyed our leader? Or are you gonna join me in my rebellion?"

"Rebellion!" The students, apart from Leo, once again yelled.

"I say we sleep on it." Leo interjected, turning his head to the side as he imitated a different voice.

From inside the common area, they all watched as the students continued to chant 'rebellion' together, when Adam started to join in.

"Rebellion! Rebellion-" Adam stopped chanting when he turned to look at his siblings who were giving him a look. He shrugged his shoulders, defending himself through his response. "What? It's catchy."

"Guys, Leo's still trapped in there." Bree said, reminding her brothers as she gestured towards the monitor.

"Not for long." Sebastian smirked at the bionic trio before looking back at the monitor to talk to the students again. "Soldiers! If you're truly committed to this rebellion, it's time for you to prove yourselves. Your first order. Take... out... Leo."

He pressed a button on his watch, turning the monitor off before turning to the worried bionic siblings. "That should take care of Leo. Looks like you're next. Three on three. It's gonna be fun."

"Actually, it's four on three, so it-" Adam said, but was quick to cut himself off when he realised Emilia wasn't with them making him frown. He began to point at the people in front of him, counting them as he whispered. "One, two, three... Oh wait, no, never mind, you're right, carry on."

Lexi nodded towards her mentor. "You're up, Teach, catch me if you can." She challenged Bree before super speeding away.

"Oh, I will." Bree said, glaring ahead where Lexi super speeded away before following her, using her own super speed.

With Chase and Adam left alone with Sebastian and Tank, Chase was the first one to make a move, shoving Sebastian forward before the two began to fight along with Adam and Tank.

"Give it up, Chase. We're more powerful than you. You can't stop the rebellion." Sebastian said before pulling out his red laser bo pitchfork.

Chase glared before holding his arm out, pulling out his blue laser bo and swung it around him before using it as a defence weapon against Sebastian.

As the fight continued, Bree and Lexi were now back in the common area, super speeding around each other when Lexi suddenly pushed her against the wall making Bree groan in pain at the contact. Lexi went to run at the girl but Bree kicked her in the stomach beforehand causing Lexi to stumble back.

Bree used this as her chance to pick up the stool from the ground and went to hit Lexi with it who used her Molecular Manipulation to melt the stool. It turned into water as it splashed onto the floor, the liquid getting on Bree's shoes.

Bree looked at Lexi with a glare. "Okay, these are leather boots. And you're dead."

This made Lexi smirk at the brunette, reminding the girl as she spoke. "Just like Emilia will be."

Bree's eyes darkened at the mention of her best friend before she stepped forward to push Lexi back with a hard force, letting out a groan of pain that was more like a cry.

As the girls continued to fight, the other two boys came back in, still using their laser bo's to fight with each other when Sebastian swept Chase off his feet from underneath, making him fall onto his back with a groan.

Chase, however, was quick to react and used his laser bo to block the hit Sebastian was throwing at him with his laser bo pitchfork. Sebastian glared down at his mentor before practically growling at him. "Once I have my bionic army, anyone who stands in our way will be eliminated. Just like your precious Emilia will be."

"You bitch." Chase seethed under his breath as he glared at Sebastian before pushing him away so he could jump back up to his feet. "All right. That's it. We're no longer best friends."

Adam, Bree and Chase continued to fight their students, the latter of the three still swinging his laser bo at Sebastian who raised his brows before asking. "You ready to give up yet?"

"I could do this all day." Chase said, glaring at him before pushing his laser bo away from his face and went to hit Sebastian who was quick to block his hit.

"Trust me, you won't last that long." Sebastian told him before hitting Chase in the stomach with his laser-bo. Chase fell to the ground, trying to lift his laser bo up to hit Sebastian who easily pushed it away, leading for Chase to now have no weapon in his hand.

Just as Sebastian went to hit Chase with his laser bo, the boy let out a groan when he felt someone fall on top of him and they both fell to the floor, groaning in pain. The ones left standing, stumbled back slightly at the sound of an ear piercing scream coming from a distance away, making the island shake at the sound.

Chase furrowed his brows at the sound, knowing it was familiar and that's when he hoped Emilia would show up soon. Leo was the first one to stand up, taking in his surroundings before he smiled. "Yes! Three rooms later, but I finally got it."

The Dooley rushed over to Chase to help him off the floor when Chase smiled at him, glad that he came in on time when he came up with a punchline. "Hey, Leo, thanks for droppin' in."

"Come on. I was gonna say that." Leo sighed as he dropped his shoulders, pouting like a child.

"Ha! Now it's four against three." Adam chimed in with a laugh. "Wait! One, two, three, four... Oh yeah, I'm right this time." He grinned, earning a pat on the back from Chase.

"Bring it on."

Bree and Chase shared a look before nodding at each other. The latter of the two pretended to run ahead making Lexi super speed away, with Bree kicking a chair towards her. Lexi fell to the ground, getting herself tangled up in the chair, causing Bree and Chase to grin in satisfaction before fist bumping each other.

With the help of Leo, him and Adam were able to get the upper hand and fight Tank, ending up with Leo throwing the boy out of the huge window and into the water as the glass shattered from the contact.

"Guys." Bree interrupted their celebration, her eyes staying on Sebastian when she spotted him standing back up his feet.

They followed her gaze, watching as Sebastian moved in front of them with his eyes glowing purple before electricity shot out from his hands and towards the bionic team who were quick to dodge it apart from Bree who fell to the floor after getting hit.

"Bree!" Chase yelled as him, Adam and Leo went to step forward towards the brown-haired girl when Sebastian threw out his arm in front of him in a threatening way.

"Ah-ah. I wouldn't do that if I were you." The boy chuckled, watching as Bree groaned in pain, trying to push herself off the floor. "Give it up, guys. Your precious protector isn't here to save you. And none of you can stop me."

As if it was all in slow motion, Sebastian moved his arm in Bree's direction, electricity shooting out of his hands as he prepared to shoot them towards Bree when all of a sudden, he was thrown forwards by the sound of a familiar banshee scream, leading for the ones who heard it, put their hands over their ears.

"But I can." Everyone turned towards the direction of where the scream came from to see Emilia stood there with her arms held out in front of her, staring ahead in a daze with panting breaths.

"Emilia! You're okay." Chase called, sighing in relief when he saw his girlfriend alive, although she still looked weak from the chains.

Bree smiled and was quick to push herself back on to her feet before rushing towards her best friend who wrapped her arms around the girl, pushing her behind her in a protective way.

The three boys were quick to follow, standing by Emilia and Bree as Sebastian began to get up from the floor, narrowing his eyes at the Hunter who returned it. "How did you get out?"

Emilia smirked. "Oh Sebastian, if you have to ask that question then you really don't know how powerful I am, do you?"

Sebastian glared at Emilia with a growl, before shooting electricity from his hands and towards the group who were quick to dodge it and hide behind the pillars.

"How did you even do that?" Chase questioned upon realising he hadn't seen that ability come from Sebastian before.

Sebastian held his arms out to the side, wearing a smirk as he responded. "Remember how you unlocked my new ability? Well, once you gave me Mr Davenport's password, I unlocked them all."

Chase sighed as the ones beside him glared at him in annoyance, including Adam who scoffed at him. "You have got to be kidding me."

Emilia huffed a strand of hair out of her face as she muttered. "I guess this is what happens when I'm not around."

Sebastian looked down at his hands to admire his ability when Bree nudged Chase with her hand, gesturing to Sebastian as she questioned. "How can he use all of his abilities at once?"

"He can't." Emilia answered for Chase who stared between the two girls when he remembered something. He gestured towards his girlfriend, nodding along as he elaborated. "Exactly. He can't. Not for long. If we can get him to max out his abilities, it'll fry his chip."

"And he doesn't know that?" Bree asked, wanting to be sure and sighed in relief when Chase shook his head in confirmation. "Finally! Something you didn't share with your BFF."

Chase raised his finger in the air, turning to his sister to correct. "Dah-dah! Ex-BFF."

Emilia shook her head at her boyfriend, sighing to herself before telling them. "Just follow my lead. We have to keep him on the offensive."

They nodded at the banshee who grabbed Chase's hand before stepping out from behind the pillar, with Chase calling out to the leader of the rebellion. "Hey, Sebastian, let's see what you got." The couple was quick to dodge Sebastian's next attack as he aimed his new heat vision towards them.

Bree stepped out from behind them, raising her hand in the air as she called. "Over here!" She was quick to drop to the floor, dodging Sebastian's pyrokinesis.

"Hey, Sebastian." Adam called, stepping towards him when he flinched back as Sebastian growled at him. "Hit Chase again." He stammered, quickly rushing away from the boy.

Sebastian went to fire at him before turning to where Chase, Emilia and Bree were and continued his attempt to fire at them, using any bionic ability he could until his body started to twitch just as his bionics started glitching.

"It's working."

"Ooh-ooh-ooh. It's like a firework show." Adam gasped in awe, staying behind the pillar. "I bet this is his big finale."

"Ahh! Ohh, what's happening? How do I make it stop?" Sebastian screamed through the pain as his body continued to twitch.

"You can't." Chase called.

"But if you could, I'm sure Chase would've told you how." Emilia hummed, shrugging her shoulders from behind Chase who was quick to send her a look, only to receive one back.

When Sebastian finally stopped losing control, he was left standing there in the room when Chase began walking towards him with a smirk. He pointed his finger at Sebastian, keeping the smirk on his face. "Your rebellion is over." He declared, before shoving Sebastian to the ground.

As everyone sighed in relief, Bree was the first one to speak up, remembering about the two adults in the hydra-loop. "Wait. What about Mr. Davenport?"

"Quick! Check the feed." Chase said, his eyes filled with worry before following Bree and Emilia towards the console with Adam and Leo behind him. As Bree typed into the console, they turned to the monitor only to receive a blank feed making Chase call out. "Mr. Davenport!"

"Wait. Why can't we see anything?" Adam asked, staring at the screen in worry.

Leo began to type into the console before telling them. "The oxygen level in the hydraloop is at... zero."

Silence filled the room for a moment before they all turned in the direction of where they heard footsteps from, followed by the familiar voice of Mr. Davenport. "Will you stop sweating on me?"

From beside him, Perry was quick to correct the man. "That's not sweat. My mayo packs exploded." This earned a groan from Donald who then turned towards the kids as Chase smiled in relief. "You're alive!"

"But how did you escape?" Bree asked.

Perry looked at Bree and glanced down at what Donald was holding while answering her question. "Found an emergency escape pod in the hydra loop. Who knew?"

Donald nodded. "Yeah, I really need to start attending those safety meetings." He said in thought, shaking his head.

Leo glanced down at the emergency pod with his brows furrowed, before thinking out loud. "That does not look big enough for two people."

"It's not." Donald responded, his body practically shuddering at the thought.

Perry scoffed in annoyance. "Oh please. I've wiggled into smaller things than that with bigger men than you."

Donald sighed before he finally noticed who was standing next to Chase. His lips tugged up into a smile, dropping the emergency pod on the floor as he sighed in relief. "Oh thank god, you're okay."

"Oh, yay. Huggie-" Emilia muttered, letting out a light giggle as she wrapped her arms around him when she cut herself off, sniffing the air making her scrunch up her nose in disgust. "Ah, uh."

"Yeah. When you've spent hours trapped alone in a hydra-loop with a sweaty Perry, it starts to-" He said in disgust as Emilia pulled away, letting out a chuckle.

Emilia nodded. "Okay. But, you should definitely do something about them first." She mentioned, gesturing over to Sebastian, Lexi and Tank.

"The authorities are on their way to pick you guys up." Donald informed the three rebels who were now fully conscious with handcuffs attached to their wrists.

Sebastian looked up at Donald. "This isn't over. We will get our revenge." He said, but they didn't believe him.

"I don't think so. You're gonna be locked up for a very long time." Donald reminded the three rebel students, sharing a look with Emilia.

Sebastian laughed as if he was kidding. He raised his brows at the man, giving him a rhetorical question. "You really think prison bars or handcuffs can hold me?" He let out a grunt in attempt to pull his handcuffs apart, making him look down in confusion as he failed his actions.

"Not gonna work." Chase chimed in, shaking his head at Sebastian. "While you were unconscious, we removed your bionic chips-" He was cut off when Emilia wrapped her arms around Chase's neck, pulling him back as she covered his mouth with her hand, sighing in annoyance. "Bub, I love you. But stop telling him shit."

Seeing the nod from Chase, the Hunter pulled her hand away from his mouth before they turned to Perry who approached the three students, patting them on the backs. "All right. Let's hit it, Sturdy, Creepy and Butch. Quick, otherwise I'll get Hunter to scream again and do something to your hearing."

"You know for once, it's nice to be on this side of the cuffs." Perry nodded, smiling at Donald who returned the smile before his face dropped, realising what she said.

Emilia giggled at the look on Donald's face as Chase wrapped his arms around her waist, keeping her in front of him when they turned to Leo who piped up. "Now, all we have to do is convince the rest of the rebellious bionic students not to rip us apart!"

"Yeah, but first, I need a couple hours to wash the Perry off my... everywhere." Donald said in disgust as he gestured to himself.

"Come on then you." Chase muttered, not giving Emilia a chance to respond before picking her up off the ground and running out the room, smiling at the sound of her giggles. "Ah, be careful! I am still hurt from being stuck in chains, you know!"

"And so, the reason Mr. Davenport didn't tell you guys about Krane was because he was trying to protect you." Chase informed the rest of the students as they were now stood in the training area. Once Emilia wiped all the blood off her and got herself cleaned up, the group were now in the training area to explain to the other students about why they didn't tell them about Krane.

Bree nodded. "Just like he was trying to protect the three of us when he didn't tell us that Douglas was our real creator." She chimed in, defending them and Mr. Davenport. "Mr. Davenport was just looking out for you."

"Does this all make sense?" Emilia asked the students who nodded in response.

"Yeah, but I think the real takeaway here is... that it was all Chase's fault." Adam chimed in, gesturing to his brother who stood beside him with a look of annoyance. "Goodnight, everybody."
