personality .ᐟ Houndstar is a bit of a strange character. Despite the fact she's the leader, she's never really found her footing among the clan. She's a bit of a loner, strange, quiet, although very kind-hearted and very hard-working - cats have never... warmed up to her, or perhaps, Houndstar has never warmed up to cats. 

She's not an unlikable character. Houndstar is nice enough; she's polite when she has to be, she can speak to a crowd, and she can make relatively good decisions. It's more so that she's never really found her place - or at least she hasn't felt like it. Houndstar is a bit of a nervous leader, uncertain of her decisions, careful and constantly fretting. She spends a lot of her time in her den, worrying about the future, carefully watching her clanmates to make certain that her choices are the right one. It's a great effort to carry one's clan and its future upon their shoulders, and Houndstar is very aware of the weight. 

Despite her quite... nervous nature, Houndstar is quite determined. She's ambitious, not so in ranks but more so in legacy. She cares a lot about the future, about the mark on history that she will leave behind. Houndstar would like kittens to be named after her, for cats to remember the great Houndstar and consider her a good, wise, and loyal leader. This ambition, mixed with delicate nervousness, has led to a quite fierce, rat-like violence in her. Bite first, ask questions later. When angry, Houndstar is a bit like a dog pushed to the corner or a rat prepared to gnaw its leg off. There's a bit of a desperate, filthy, kicked-animal violence to her which perhaps unnerves the others. 

Furthermore, Houndstar cares a lot. She's a bit of a yearner, whilst being paired with her unlucky, avoidant nature. She sticks to the sidelines, uncertain of how to enter the fray. Because of this, cats often assume that Houndstar is more aloof, distant, or cold, but no - Houndstar is nervous and tender-footed, watching, keen to join in and yearning to find her place within the clan.

mentors .ᐟ Rabbitscar: a nice enough mentor, a little harsh and a little part of her father's plan to make her leader. Still, they got along relatively well. He passed away from illness a few moons ago, and she sat vigil for him for the night. Although he was cruel when she failed, he taught her to be better, and Houndstar will remember that always. 
apprentices .ᐟ Mousehop: her first apprentice. He's cute, bouncy and kind-hearted, a bit too much of a show-off and because of that they often clashed. They get along now, although they aren't friends. It's definitely a respect, a awkward "oh-we-used-to-be-mentor-apprentice-and-now-you're-leader-and-i'm-a-warrior" vibes. ⋆ she can have more apprentices or a current apprentice, i don't mind!
