once again, instead of heading to sleep, you and mina sat up in your bed while you ranted about the occasions of that night.

"y/n, you have the son of a literal billionaire crushing on you, and you told him to wait?" she repeated.

"okay, when you say it like that, you make me sound like a huge dumbass mina."

"that's because you are. no one in their right mind would make the son of a billionaire wait for them. not to mention the son of this particular billionaire is attractive too!" ashido ranted.

"maybe i'm in my left mind then." you laughed and watched as ashido's face contorted at your lame attempt of a joke. "okay please don't block me, i'm sleep deprived!" you immediately added.

"...y/n, you're my roommate, blocking you wouldn't really have that big of an effect for me." she sighed, making you smile.

"great! you're stuck with me for the year."

"for the rest of my life you mean. don't you go thinking we'll stop being friends when we get new dorm mates, i'll live under your bed if i have to but you're not getting rid of me." she stated proudly.

"borderline creepy, mina, but i second that." you chuckled but it turned into a yawn. you looked over and saw ashido also stifling a yawn. "should we head to sleep?"

"mhm." she nodded. "can i be little spoon?"

"get back to your own bed mina!" you scolded.

"pleeease y/n!"

you rolled your eyes but sighed in defeat. "if you hog the blanket this time i'm throwing you off the bed." you warned and ashido smiled brightly, immediately agreeing to the deal.

"rise and shine mina! we have lectures today."

"i'm ditching." she mumbled. "go to sleep."

you pulled away the blanket that was shielding her from the cold air and ashido curled up into a ball. "let me sleeeep." she whined and you dragged her off the bed.

"you'll hate me now but you'll thank me when you pass your exams later this semester." you grumbled and led her to the bathroom.

10 minutes later, she was helping you at the counter to make a quick breakfast before the two of you went to your lectures. you hadn't responded to any texts that morning, but the first one you saw when checking the time was todoroki saying good morning to you.

if you had time to reply, you would have, but you were in a rush and making sure ashido wouldn't be late for her classes either caused you to have your hands full.

you were walking alongside ashido to your classes when you were approached by yaoyorozu, todoroki's best friend. she was panting and catching her breath when she reached the two of you.

"i'm so sorry-" she managed in between breaths. "but i'd love it if you two could make it to a party my father is throwing. it's for his business but since i'm required to be there he allowed me to invite a few friends."

you and mina accepted the invitations she held out hesitantly. "are you sure it's okay if we go?" mina asked.

"of course! you're shoto's friends right? he'd love to see you there." she smiled.

literal angel.

"yeah! thanks for the invite then, we'll see you at the party." ashido said politely. yaoyorozu nodded and ran off with a few more invitations in hand and the moment she was out of sight, ashido was a squealing mess. "y/n, y/n, y/n! we're going to a billionaire's party! a billionaire's party! do you realise how cool this is?"

you laughed, happy to see her so excited. "it's pretty cool, huh? who'd have though, us broke hoes would ever step foot near a billionaire."

"you're coming right? to the party?"

you looked at the ground. "i don't know, mina. i mean, being around actual billionaire's? it doesn't feel real."

"you've got a billionaire's son asking to date you, y/n. this shouldn't be that surprising." ashido teased.

you ran a hand through your messy hair. "i don't get it bro. i don't see why he likes me. i'm blunt and clumsy, i keep forgetting he's a rich kid, and i treat him so disrespectfully and—"

"maybe that's what he likes." she interrupted.

"huh?"

"maybe he likes being treated like a normal person for once." she shrugged.

you were rooted to your spot. "do you think if other people treated him like a normal person, he'd be attracted to them too?" you were immediately spiralling into self doubt and ashido pinched your cheeks to snap you out of it.

"that's not what i meant. he probably liked being around you because you treated him like you treated everyone else and that made him comfortable. but if he has feelings for you, that's because you're a crackhead, y/n."

"so if he meets another crackhead then—"

"y/n, sweetie, no. he likes you. and instead of worrying about whether or not he'll like someone else in future, just try to figure out if you like him or not, okay?" she asked.

you nodded hesitantly. "okay." before a smile broke out on your face. "thanks mina! you're the best."

"i know." she chuckled, "i'll see in a couple hours!" ashido called before she headed into her class.

you walked along the corridor, pulling. out your phone to respond to messages. you finally reached todoroki's message and opened it with a faint smile tugging at your lips. you had just replied to his text from earlier, when you heard a voice from beside you. "could've just said it to my face."

you looked up, slightly alarmed to see todoroki. "h-hi!" you squeaked, before clearing your throat and your lips once again forming a smile. "good morning."

"good morning." he responded, his smile mirroring yours. "would you like to have lunch with me later?"

you stared at him for a moment before slowly nodding. "yeah. yeah, i'd like that."
