"Can I stay with you today?" Ushijima asked you when it was time to part.
You shook your head, "You haven't been home for two days Wakatoshi, your mother hasn't seen you at all. You should probably go home."
"She's working today, I won't see her." He argued.
You chuckled and placed your keys in his hand. "I have to go to work right now, but I'll be back in a few hours. Just make yourself at home, okay?"
Ushijima looked like he was about to protest but you gave him a stern look and he resigned, slumping his shoulders in defeat. "Don't take too long." He told you.
You nodded and waved him off, and turned to Tendo to make sure he was feeling alright. "I'm okay (f/n)-chan." He assured. "Just take care of Wakatoshi-kun for me."
"He's staying at my place again." You told Tendo to which he responded with a suggestive eyebrow wiggle.
You punched Tendo's arm and rolled your eyes at him, "no nasty thoughts."
"Sure sure, I won't hold you back from Wakatoshi-kun so go spend time with him." Tendo told you. You nodded and waited for him to head home before you left to work.
If you had told Tendo you were working late again, he'd probably get upset at you again so you kept quiet and let him assume you'd be with Ushijima all evening. You technically hadn't lied, Ushijima was spending the night at your place. You just wouldn't be with him until your shift was over.
You scurried to get to work, and threw on an apron when you arrived. It was a busy hour and the shop was packed with people. You buzzed around every corner taking orders and serving people their food.
Near the end of your shift, though, an unwanted guest made their way into the store and insisted on having you as their waitress. Although exhausted, you agreed to your manager and made your way to the table where this persistent customer was waiting.
Your heart stopped for a second when you made eye contact with your father, and you almost dropped your notepad and pen. Mustering up what little courage you could, you willed yourself to move forward until you were only a few steps away from him. "What are you doing here?"
"Just visiting my daughter of course." He grinned.
"What are you really doing?"
"Quit being so suspicious of me (f/n)-chan. I just wanted to pay you a visit."
"You lost the right to approach me a very long time ago." You snapped.
"(L/n) we need more hands in the kitchen!" Your manager called.
"I'll take a chef's special." Your father said quickly, an mischievous smile on his face.
You made your way into the kitchen, turning back to look at your father every few seconds, worried he'd pull a stunt. He was never the type to show himself in public. And recently, he'd been showing up more frequently than once a month. You had reason to worry.
The moment the kitchen door closed behind you, you called the cops hoping they'd arrive in time to arrest your father. You were nervous, though.
The last time you and Tendo got cops involved, they were your personal bodyguards who were protecting you day and night. But they only lasted a week, your father killed one of them, and threatened the family of the other cop until he quit. Ever since then, you and Tendo tended to try to just deal with him yourself. The less outsiders involved, the safer.
You took your father's order to his table, and that's when the distant sirens were heard. A scowl formed on your father's face and he reached into the pocket of your apron and grabbed your phone. "I wanted to have a meal before I had my fun, but you leave me no choice." He sighed and pushed you aside, heading into the kitchen.
Panicked, you ran after him into the kitchen only to see him leave through the backdoor. You were a bit relieved. Sure, he hasn't been caught but he didn't hurt anyone. Although, he had your phone. And you weren't sure what he planned to do with that.

"So he just left with your phone?" A cop asked you.
"Yes, he used the backdoor and took my phone." You confirmed. "My half brother can track my phone from his phone. Will that help with finding my father?"
"Yes that could work." The cop nodded and handed you his phone. You dialled Tendo's number repeatedly but it kept going straight to voicemail. A knot began to form in your stomach from worry and you hoped nothing bad had happened.
The cops left after 20 minutes and told you that they would 'look into the case' but that's all they had been saying for years now. Your focus wasn't on work anymore, and your manager noticed this too. You were let off early from your shift and you gratefully accepted and changed into your casual clothes.
As you were leaving through the door, the phone at the counter rang and no one was tending to it.
It couldn't hurt to answer a call, you supposed and so you picked up the line. "Hello, thank you for calling, can we take your order?"
"(F/n)-chan, I just thought you'd want to pick up your brother."
The familiar voice made goosebumps rise on your skin.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"You'll see. Satori-kun will be on the swings in the playground two blocks away from your house." He said before hanging up.
"Wait!" You exclaimed but the line was dead. Your vision was blurring, but you had no time to panic, you had to think. And fast.
Hiyori was at work too, and seeing your urgency, she lent you her phone for the day. You thanked her profusely and sprinted out the door, dialling for the ambulance first, and then the cops and told them the address of the park.
You were out of breath and your lungs felt like they were on fire but you couldn't stop running. Tendo could be in terrible danger and you wouldn't know until you saw him.
Instead of slowing down, you forced yourself to pick up your pace and stumbled through the gate of the park, where you saw Tendo, his head resting on the seat while one hand was tied to the swing. The other hand was clutching the side of his abdomen, and the moonlight made it hard to tell but you prayed that what you saw around him wasn't a pool of his own blood.
Tears pricked at your eyes as you rushed to him, attempting to untie the knot that bound him to the swing. "Satori. Satori I need you to say something. Please, I need to know you're okay." You begged.
"Say anything. Say my name, say mama, talk about volleyball or Wakatoshi or anything. Please Satori I need to hear you." Your voice broke in between your sentence, but you couldn't help it.
This was someone you grew up with, someone who had been there for every major and minor event of your life, and he was now bleeding out and you didn't know what to do to stop it.
It wasn't too much longer until the ambulance arrived, and the cops too. They found your phone near the area, and Tendo's phone too and handed both over to you after they found no fingerprints on it.
They stayed at the scene while you sat in the back of the ambulance, clutching Tendo's hand while one staff began CPR on him.
You remembered that Ushijima would be waiting for you and called him to come to the hospital, and finally called Tendo's mom.
She was worried sick about Tendo, he had rushed out of the house after he received a call from your number and all Tendo's mom knew was that your stalker was involved.
"I'm sorry." You sobbed. "I'm so so sorry, this is all my fault."
