there is only
a very unstable railing
between life and death.

a railing
like the ones on the edge of a cliff
to stop people from falling down
and their bodies ending up in the riff
because they drown.

but what if
the railing isn't enough
to part life and death
because i jump over it
and fall off the cliff?
