Hinata and Yukio almost screamed in delight when they saw you and Kageyama walking to school the next day.

Yukio almost asked if we were dating since she knew about that kiss from new years but you shook your head at her and and she fell silent, knowing better than to go against you.

The volleyball team were also glad that you'd made up since the tension between you and Kageyama was off putting and he couldn't play as well as usual.

Everything was slowly falling into place, and you were happy. You'd counted that incident with Kageyama as just a drunken incident and doubted he even remembered it.

But that was okay, slowly, you'd work your way to his heart. No matter how long it took, you were willing to wait.

Little did you know, his heart was already yours.

~ Four Months Later ~

The last month of the school year rolled around and the huge finale was the talk of the school.

Everyone you knew was fretting over finding a dress or finding a date, but you had bigger things to worry about. Like actually setting up the dance venue.

Yukio and you were two out of ten volunteers to set up the party. The school had handed over a large sum of money to the volunteers and you were thankful you weren't in charge of that.

Yukio and you were on decoration duty, and Yukio's artistic eye would make this job extremely difficult since she was a perfection but it would all pay off.

You were just excited to get started. You had to consult teachers before adding any changes since most of this was pre planned but it was the decoration itself that would take time.

The annual, end of first year dance party was coming up. The seconds years had a separate one, and the third years had the best one out of all but that made sense.

This was known as the 'End of the Year Party', and there wasn't a soul that didn't look forward to it.

Everyone wanted school to end already, and you weren't any different. You just didn't have enough time to worry about what you'd wear or who you'd go with because this took up all your time.

You told the volleyball team you wouldn't be able to go to many practices anymore because of this commitment and they understood perfectly.

You weren't ditching them, you'd found them a possible assistant manager, Hitoka Yachi whom Hinata seemed to get along with quite well. You hadn't ever spoken to the girl, but you had heard that she wasn't in any clubs and told Kiyoko she seemed reliable.

"(F/n)!" Yukio scolded. "Stop spacing out on me and move those fairylights to your left! That's not your left, dumb dumb!"

"HEY IM TRYING ALRIGHT?" You barked back at your best friend and you both cracked a grin. "This stress is something else."

"Definitely." She agreed. "When do you want to go shopping for a dress? Is this weekend fine by you?"

"Sounds good to me, Yukio!" You cheered and finally taped the fairylights at 'the right spot' according to your best friend.

You and Kageyama barely saw each other now that you'd started decorating for this huge party, and he seemed to be growing more and more restless.

Restless enough to show up at your house, at night, unannounced.

Not even at your door, but at your window. "What. Are you. Doing here?!" You hissed at him, completely thrown off by his sudden appearance.

"I haven't seen you in ages." He mumbled. "Let me in, it's cold."

You sighed and opened your window a little wider, stepping out of the way for him to climb inside. He tripped over the ledge however, and fell. He grabbed onto the closest thing to him, which happened to be your hand.

You toppled on top of him and the two of you landed with a quiet thud onto your carpeted floor. "Eager to get a hold of me I see." He joked.

"Oh yes, I totally wanted to fall on top of you." You muttered, rolling your eyes and standing up, helping him up with you.

"W-what?"

"What do you expect me to say? 'Oh Tobio I've been waiting for the day you sneak into my house through my second floor window'- which by the way is kind of impressive but equally concerning- but yeah, what the hell are you doing here?" You demanded.

"I wanted to visit."

"People do that during the day, Tobio."

"I'm more of a night person." He said and looked over your shoulder, smiling when his eyes rested on Milk Boy Jr. "You still have him."

You followed his gaze to the cow plush and mirrored his smile. "Good times huh?"

He nodded. "I think that was my favourite birthday."

"I'm glad, then." You said quietly, studying the look on his face. "You're craving milk, aren't you?"

He turned to you in shock. "How did you-"

"Wait here." You chuckled. "I'll get you some milk with sugar."

You were back only minutes later with milk for both you and Kageyama. "Did you have anything planned when you showed up or did you just decided I'd be the perfect person to disturb at night?" You asked.

"The second one." He said coolly, earning a slap upside the head from you. "But I'm kind of in a movie mood. So if you want we could watch something on Netflix?"

You shrugged, not caring about this idea. You put on a movie and the two of you cuddled on your bed while watching on your laptop, sipping on your milk for a while, and then full on wrapped your arms around each other while watching a rom com.

Recently, Yukio had been able to knock some sense into you, and you were aware that Kageyama liked you. As in, like liked you. But you wanted to hear it from him, so you didn't mind that you were doing something that normally only couples would do.

You could tell him you liked him, knowing he liked you back, but where's the fun in that?

So you decided to wait it out, for the tsundere to come out of his shell and tell you himself.

You only hoped he wouldn't take too long.
