Tiana Grayson, or as she was dressed now, the vigilante the media is calling "Echo", was listening to the NYPD Radio. Someone was robbing a small bank. She put her hood on and dashed off. As she was approaching closer, someone had got there before her. She saw a burst of lavender energy. Nova she thought.

She ran and ran, expecting to see her mentor. The man who trained her, cared for her, but never got too close. She halted in her tracks when she saw a woman dressed in a similar suit, with the same powers, of the Nova she knew. "You're not Nova." She blurted out. The woman turned to her in shock.

"I am Nova." She said, handing the man who was robbing the bank over to the police. "That's Echo!" An officer yelled, "The vigilante!" Tiana stood with no hesitation in her face. "Run!" Nova yelled confused. Instead, Tiana used her powers of mind control to make the officers believe that they never saw her. They all got back into their cars and drove off to the police station.

   "How did you do that?" Nova asked. "Who are you?" Tiana ignored Nova's question. "Answer mine first." Tiana smirked as she entered Nova's mind. Nova could feel something foreign traveling through her head. Tiana's eyes glowed green as she whispered in Nova's mind, You're not the Nova I know. "Get out of my head." Nova objected. "You asked." Tiana laughed.

   "Now, who are you?" Tiana asked sternly. "I'm Nova, but apparently you met my brother first. We have-" She paused. Her eyes darkening as she looked down at her feet. "We had the same powers." Tiana's heart dropped to her feet, "Had? What happened?" Nova didn't reply, she turned to leave.

   "Please." Tiana pleaded. "He was training me. I don't know where to go from here. What do I do without him?" Nova turned back to Tiana, tears in her eyes. "Meet me here, at 10 a.m. tomorrow." Nova said, handing Tiana a business card with only an address on it. "See you soon, Echo." She said as a lavender blast of energy shined in Tiana's eyes. She shielded her eyes with her hand, and when she looked back, Nova was gone.

"Astra, someone's at the door?" Isabelle said. "Oh yeah, I'll get it." She replied. "You gave someone this address?" Isabelle was confused. Astra shook her off and walked toward the door. She looked at the screen beside the door to see who was on the other side of the camera. She saw Echo, honestly surprised she showed up. She took a folded paper out of her pocket and slipped it through the mail slot.

   Echo picked it up and unfolded. The note read, Are you alone? If so, state your legal name and take off your disguise. Look up at the camera on the left and wait patiently. "My name is Tiana Grayson, the media calls me Echo." Tiana said as she removed her hood and took out a wipe from her bag to wipe away the makeup that hid her eyes. She looked up to find the camera.

   On the other side of the door, Astra used the screen to run a scan on Tiana's face. The scan was successful. Tiana is a 17 year old girl, same as most of the team, and has a younger sister named Gwen. There was nothing to worry about in her file. Astra closed it out and unlocked the door. She turned toward everyone in the room, "I'd like for you all to meet," She opened the door "The vigilante, Echo."

"And you let her in just like that?" Raina asked. "You know Oris felt about new recruits-" Kaia started. Astra interrupted, "Oris knew her. He was training her." The team stood there stunned. "It's nice to meet you all." Tiana said, visibly uncomfortable. Astra led Tiana to the lockers, assigned her one, and began the tour.

Their so-called "base" was full of many different rooms. The base is in a large warehouse, in the middle of nowhere. Oris found it and they had all worked on it as a team. They each got to pick out a room they wanted to add. Astra added a library, it had nothing to do with their training, she just wanted a quiet place to do what she loves, read. Levi added the gym, even before the explosion that caused him to gain his powers, he has always been obsessed with fitness. He loves to workout practice self defense.

Kaia and Oris added the living room, they combined the things they enjoyed as a couple to make a large movie theater inspired room for the living room. Oris and Kaia were movie enthusiasts. Raina added the kitchen, boy did she love to cook, bake, and, of course, eat. Nikolai added the bedrooms, he loves to sleep and thought they each should be able to spend the night comfortably, he also added an extra bedroom, incase the team ever grew. Which it did, they recently added Isabelle.

Isabelle wasn't able to add her own room before Oris passed. That extra bedroom Nik added became her own and when she joined, she quickly found family in the team. Levi had met her at her first mission, she was interrogated by Oris, and was added to the team. She fit in perfectly and became the glue to the family that is their team.

As Astra showed Tiana around, she explained all these rooms. She told Tiana what happened to Oris and how he died. Tiana excused herself to the bathroom. She couldn't bear crying and embarrassing herself. Astra could hear her sobs through the door, she shed a silent tear along with Tiana.

Tiana pulled herself together and followed Astra back to the gym. Half was a regular looking gym, and the other half was empty with nothing but mats on the floor. Her first training session with the team was about to begin.
