We were having fun time with each other, when I asked her...

"Hey little, what's your name??", while slightly touching her tiny nose with the tip of my index finger.

"Ohh ..!! I forgot to introduce myself!!!How stupid of me !!", while slapping her head lightly.

Not giving me time to reply to her, she
jumped from my lap and stood in front of me, bowed down 90 degrees and then said,

"Anneong ghaseyo, My name is Lily. I am 4 years old. I study at Eurokids school. Nice to meet you Eonni.", while clapping her hands and then continued saying "Now your turn eonni."

Lily... pure and innocent bloom just like her.

Giggling to her innocence. I stood like her and copied her way.

"Anneong ghaseyo, My name is Y/N. I study at Seoul University. Nice to meet you too Lily!", I said.

Literally being with children your inner child expresses out, the heart fills with spirit. Though they are so small and oblivious, they never fail to teach us the beauty of inner child innocence and happiness in small little things in life.

And then we sat down beside each other.

"Lily where are your parents??", I asked her

It made me sad when I heard her next sentence...

"I have never met them... Eonni."
There was a small pause and then again she continued,
"But my Grandma says that they are in Dreamland, a beautiful place where we can go after we study and become good human beings. She says it's at the farthest end of the earth so it's difficult to travel there and that's why they can't come here likewise for us, and I cannot talk to them since it is far from here and there's no internet connection there.
When I grow up, I'll go and meet them. Give them all the love which I missed and tightly hug them...", she said while showing her actions.

"I know that world, it's indeed very far...", I said while pondering about life without parents, it hurts. I have spent 9 years without my father with great difficulty. Mom and I had to go through with each and every second struggles and pain, supportless.

Smiling through tears I cheered her up ..."Sure we'll go together to that place, my father also stays there."

"Is it so...?", she asked while showing her doesn't eyes.

"Yup!!", I assured her.

"Then you can meet, uncle now, as you have grown up and also studied,?", she said.

"Not now... I have to become a good human being first, as your Grandma said ", looking up at the evening sky.

"You are Eonni ...", she said while looking at you

"You too ...Sweetie", while turning the head towards Lily and rubbing her nose with your index finger.

We both smiled...

After a few seconds of taking in the beauty of the evening sky.

I asked her, "Where is your grandma Lily?"

"I don't know Eonni..."

"You are not worried ?"

"Naah ... I am enjoying it with you.
And I know Grandma will find me.", she said without any worry on her face.

"Hmm... But sweetie it's getting late. Now tell me how you got separated from your Grandma."

"Umm... please don't tell Grandma, or she'll scold me."

"I won't!", I assured her.

"Pinky promise", she said while holding out her little finger.

And then I promised her.

"Grandma and I were at the park when a candy car came. When I insisted her she brought me one, and told me to stand there and not move while she was giving the money to the man.
I was happily licking the candy when I saw a cute puppy running and I ran behind that puppy even when I was instructed never to go anywhere without informing Grandma but I carelessly followed the puppy. And then I fell down making my candy also fall down and cover with dirt...", she said while pointing towards the fallen candy now wrapped with dirt. She then continued...

"Now I didn't get anything neither the puppy nor the candy and now I am here without grandma.", she said with a glint of sadness in her voice.

Again wiping her emerging tiny tears...
"No worries dear... we both will find your grandma." Then I took her in my arms and made my way towards the park.

"Okay so, we'll find your grandma.", I said

She then said with enthusiasm,
"Mission Find Grandma.✌️", while showing the V sign

Chuckling, I repeated,
"Yes... Mission Find Grandma.✌️"

After an hour of tiring work of searching we sat on the bench in the park, and then I saw an old woman coming towards us hastily and in a second I saw Lily running towards her and then they hugged each other.
I think that's her Grandma.

Her Grandma was so tensed it was clearly visible on her face, she kissed Lily repeatedly all over her face.

After a few minutes of exchanging love. Lily ran towards me with her Grandma.
With her tiny fingers she held my hand and told her Grandma all about our meeting.

"Grandma, look I made a new friend. She gave me chocolate and also helped to find you."

She raised her hand for a high five understanding her gesture I high five her. And then she said,
"Mission completed Eonni!"

Her Grandma and I just chuckled at the little overexcited figure.

Her Grandma suddenly hugged me making me startled, holding her she just kept thanking me and said that it means a lot to her and she is indebted to me.

I repeatedly denied the concept of indebted, and told her that it's our duty as a human being to help the people in need, and I did the same thing, nothing great.

After a few minutes...

Talking to her, my eyes drop to my watch making me curse.
"Shit!! It's 5 pm. I missed the interview."

-----Author's pov-----

Grandma noticed your worried expression and offered her hand to cares your back.

"Dear what's the matter??", she asked y/n.

First you were preventing but looking at her kind and sincere gestures. You open up to her, telling her the situation.

She comforts you and gives you hope, and the next moment a wide smile comes to your face when u hear her next words...

"Work for me then dear.", she offered you

"Ohh that's so awesome.", you squealed with happiness..
"Yeah yeah sure. What work I have to do.", you asked her while not able to contain your happiness.

"I have a flower shop near this Centre park. I needed a few workers, so you might join as a worker like making the bouquets, taking orders."

"That sounds great!! I am willing to work for you ma'am.", I said while holding her hands.

She chuckled seeing the overhyped girl in front of her.

"Uhh no formality. You can call me Grandma dear.", she said.

"Grandma?"

"Yes, you are like my child dear, y/n?"

"Thank you so much Grandma.", and you hugged her tightly."

After a few funny and emotional talks.

You bid goodbye to her and the Lil one. Then headed towards your home all happy dubby.

It was a great day.

"Finally, I got a job!! Yaayyyyy!!!!!" You squealed with joy.

...Next day ...

Again following the usual routine of doing the house chores, placing the note and left.

...At University...

"Hey...", Emily squealing with happiness runs towards you while you run towards her and both of you engulf each other into a hug.

"It's been years... we have met."

Chuckling, you said, "only 3 days."

"Aissh girl... then also, it's been a long time. I am eager to hear the story.", she said dramatically.

"Sure you'll know it."

Both of you laughed and entered the class.

...During the lecture...

"So students this is all for today but before we end class I need to give you all an assignment.", the professor announced

Sigh....!!!

"This look on your face won't help. You have to do it if you want your internal marks.", the professor said.

"I'll give you the topics today, so that you can start working on it and one great point about it is that you can do it in groups each will be of 2 members, and the choices are yours.

One more thing that this assignment is interconnected with the other class that is xx class, so you are requested to pair with those groups who have the same topic as yours.
This assignment has to be submitted by the end of the next month, so u guys have a full 1.5 months in hand. I want a good project and not a copy pasted.
Did you understand?" he asked us.

A smile spreads across the room, and
in reply we nodded our heads while saying, "Yes Sir."

*In Y/N's mind* - Me ... (the Innocent girl...) not knowing the reason behind their smiley faces.
Is it because we have to collaborate with members from other class's boys and girls🤨?

"I'll give you 5 mins to make pairs.", he said.

Chaos started diluting the room.

As soon as Sir ended it, we both looked at each other, and said in unison.

"One team ?"

"Is there any doubt. I am with you girl!",said Emily.

Then one by one the group came and took out a chit. So that's how we got the topic...

"Environment and Humanity"

"Nice topic!!" We agreed.

The next two classes went hectic.

"Ufff.....such a mentally tiring day", you complained.

while Emily agreeing with you said,

"Yeah ... Thank God, now we have a lunch break or else we would have passed out."

"Tru...", You were cut off when you heard a girl blaring.

"Y/N, your presence is required in the staff room."

"Yeah, coming...", I answered and then turned towards Emily and said to her
Guess what, it has not ended yet."

"Hmm... I'll be in the canteen, come there as soon as your work is done.", she said.

"Yeah, Bye...", and you excited the room

Today was such a mentally tiring day. I thought assignments, projects, all these will end at the school level, but guess what it didn't, it has to haunt me till the end of my life ...hufff!!!!!!

Why ?why??? are these assignments given, we do so much hard work for just a few marks and then this hardwork is then thrown in the dustbin... sigh... I am saying, this is a serious crime!!!

On top of that we have to do the work with the group of other classes.
This stress is never ending!

Looking at the watch, where is this Jimin. Getting up and started looking for him.

I was going to call him when I saw him talking with a girl.

~~~~Ooooooooo interesting!!!

I guess I should wait until they are don...
umm no wait
Theres no harm in entering at the wrong time. People in my case always enter at the wrong time.

"Hey Jimin!!", in loud voice I said while walking towards him.

The girl said something and then she left.

Throwing my right hand on his shoulder.

"Soooo.... Who was that girl???" Wiggling my eyes...

"Ohh, she was Emily, she is from the other class with whom we had to pair up with, for the assignment. So we are with her and her friend as we have the same topic.", Jimin explained to me.

...

Coming to my senses.

*In mind*.. So y/n's friend's name is Emily hmmm.. Emily's friend is
y/n... ummm... so that means...

...

Y/n and I'll be in the same group to do the project...

Squealing with delight.
"ooohhh that's nice ...", I replied to him, while hiding my inner self excitement.

*In mind ...* I think assignments are not that bad. Thank you God... you gave this assignment, this is so so good.

...At canteen...

After doing the assigned work I ran towards the canteen.
Entering I scanned the room to look for the familiar face. Emily waved her hand, doing the same I walked towards her.

As I approached closer I saw two figures sitting opposite her.
Taking the seat I looked towards the 2 figures in front of me.

Taehyung???
