Everyone was sitting with complete discipline and only one monotone voice could be heard.
"Ughh!! Seminar!!! It's so tedious."

Looking around in hope to find those pairs of eyes again, but I couldn't.

I spotted her friend instead, but no sign of her, I guess she is absent today!!

"Uhh!! What happened to her??", I sighed.

"Huh??, what happened to whom?"
turning to Jimin.

*In mind*- Did I say that aloud? while mentally facepalming myself.

...Meanwhile Y/N...

Seeing your mom peacefully sleeping on the hospital bed.

while holding her delicate hands.

✨FLASHBACK✨

..At the party..

The music was loud, watching everyone sway their bodies with the music and enjoying the beats.

If I was that good at social skills..sigh!..

Looking around, my eyes met with Taehyung, he was wearing a dark maroon suit, the same colour as mine, with dainty glitter work at the pocket area.

The boy does have mesmerizing good looks, but...

"Was he staring at me or??" , a second later Nana tiptoed and is now kissing him.

Ohh so they are somethin..

when I felt a vibration on my hands, quickly accepting and keeping the phone to my ear.

"Hello?"

"Come to xxx hospital as soon as possible your mom is admitted here."

"Ho.." Call ended...

Dammit!!

My breath hitched, all sorts of questions - why?? What happened?? drowning my mind, feeling a bundle of nerves wrapping around me, I didn't waste any time and ran from there.

I headed towards the hospital, with all my strength.

Reaching at the hospital, and then at room 102. I saw her sleeping peacefully, a machine depicting her heartbeat , a saline attached to her. She looks so weak and tired.

Tears started to brim my eyes, when I felt a tap on my shoulder, turning around I saw my mom's friend Lee Yon, I couldn't hold anymore and I hugged her tightly.

After a few minutes of easing myself. She told me that when they were getting ready to leave, mom fainted and then they took her to this hospital, and the doctor said that there's nothing to worry about. The reason being that she just fainted was because of not having a proper meal, stress and tiredness.

She needs to take proper rest and eat timely. Mostly taking less stress.

Caressing her hand... while you speak.

"Mom please don't stress out, I am here I'll do everything, you don't need to work hard. I'll find a way!
There's no one in this lonely big world for me.
You are the only one! you are everything for me... Mumma!!

Mom, for now, just take rest and get well soon. Your Lil y/n is nothing without you..."

And I dropped my head on her hand and drifted off to sleep.

...At 4 00 pm...

Mumma got discharged and we both headed to our home.

The drive was silent, in between I took a few glances of her, she looked so fragile.
She really needs a good rest, how did I not notice her past few days. She does have good hiding skills.

Reaching home, I took her to her bedroom making her sit on her bed resting her back against the head of the bed.

"Mom from now onwards you have to listen to me, you have to take a week holiday from work, no housework nothing, that I'll do it.
You just need to rest and have a proper meal and enjoy, no stress only happiness."

"Don't worry dear. I'm fine, I don't need holidays. I'll just take a day off nothing much. I am fine. "

"No..., Sorry!! but the doctor has told me so, and I have already given the leave application, so you are taking a week off and that's final!"

She had an expression of disbelief!!

A few more minutes of convincing, and then Mom finally understood that she won't be able to win against me in this matter and thus gave in.

A few hours after giggling and talking, I fed her a meal and then medicine, and kissed her forehead...

"Good Night Mom and get well soon. "

Slowly getting up and heading towards the balcony.

The cool breeze of night blows across my face, completely making me ease myself, I remember, in my childhood days whenever I used to have a bad day or anything which stressed me out, I used to just come outside sit and watch the night sky, the moon, stars, trees dancing in the breeze.

The pleasant wind blowing, there was no conversation going between me and the sky, but it always made me feel relaxed, igniting a hope in my soul, that like every lock has a key, the same way every problem must have a solution.

It does soothe me...

Standing for half an hour I guess, I took a deep breath and headed inside Muttering.

"I need to find a part time job."

...Next morning...

Last night was tedious since scrolling through the jobs and interviews. I guess it was not a good choice for now I had to get up early, but I have to! I need to find a job as soon as possible..and luckily I got a job interview as a receptionist in a company, and today is the interview at 4pm.

Quickly making the bed and freshening up, going down to do all the house chores, finishing with it again running upstairs to get ready.
Really Mom does so much work.

Writing a complete note with the meal, medicine and instructions, and keeping it on the dressing table with the prescribed medications beside her bed.

Slightly kissing her forehead and bidding Bye... I left for the University.

...At University....

Walking through the corridors and sitting at my usual spot, teacher entering, lecture delivered, teachers leaving all were going systematically, only one thing didn't go and that was my mind.

It only roamed around the job - did I make the right decision?, how will the interview go?, will I be selected?, I need to prepare, what the future holds? and so on... without any limit.

...

Half a day was spent in a dull manner.

...Lunch break...

-----Author's pov-----

Slowly taking the tray and sitting at your usual spot.

Looking outside and again drifting to thinking of preparing myself for the interview, and the absence of Emily didn't help much, you knew she wouldn't be present today as she already messaged you yesterday...sigh!!

Your solitude got interrupted by a deep voice.

"Hello"

Turning to the owner of the voice,
It was none other than

Taehyung

"Hii", you said slightly irritated.

"You look alone, may I accompany you?", Taehyung asked while broadly smiling and sitting opposite to you.

*In Y/N's mind*..huh?? First asking for permission and then sitting without taking it. Did I give him the permission!!!
I don't want a company. Moreover I want to focus !!

Your tongue did not obey the mind and said "Sure..."

There was silence for a couple of seconds, where you were just eating the food and scrolling the phone looking for the interview preparation tips, while Taehyung watched your every action, your features with his deep set of brown eyes, and interrupted the silence by saying...

"I thought CRUSH starts with C, I wonder why mine starts with U.", thinking of starting a conversation.

*In Taehyung's mind* I have said these lines to many girls but this time I dunno but it came on its own, like my inner self wanted to let it out.

"Huh??, starts with U", Baffled you showed a confused expression, indicating him to kindly repeat the line.

Taehyung who thought that like every girl who blushes and as if shows she fell for him at this line, didn't expect this kind of reaction from her.
Handling the scene, he said...

"Umm...U...mm.. U look alone today so wondering is your friend absent today??"

"Yes", you said uninterestingly

"Do you have only one friend??"

"Yes."

"I see quality over quantity...
..Well, how was your previous school like are u liking here ?"

"It's good here..."

*In Y/N's mind* Why he is here and bombarding me with questions. Why doesn't he spend time with his GF instead of irritating me. I want to prepare for the interview, doesn't he know that ...huff!!

While...

*In Taehyung's mind* ... Huh!!! Why is she giving me cut short answer. Is she not interested in the conversation with the world's most handsome boy.

If I was conversing with other girls now, then till now they would have been all over me.
She's not even looking at me. Is she like this only or because of something else??
Thinking of more questions.

"Ummm... Yesterday at the party you looked beautiful.", hoping she initiates it.

-----Taehyung pov-----

A short eye contact and she said "Thank you."

Uggh!! Why is she not initiating the conversation.

"Was it your first party? I mean to say that you looked unsocial, like, you didn't dance and why did you run away in the middle of the program?"
A sharp turn of head and now her eyes were directly looking at me. For a second I thought, did I ask the wrong question?

She just said in a sharp tone yet softly or as if it was me who thought it was soft.

"Were you stalking me???", she said.

"Huh??? Annniiooo....why would I stare at a girl like you."

Ugghhh what did I just say, I just screwed up.

She didn't say anything and got up,
I held her wrist as an instant reflex action, and then the other second I left it by the intense gaze she gave to me.
Getting up.

"Umm..... I didn't mean that ..."
After thinking about a refuge, I continued again.
"Umm... Well, we never introduced ourselves so ... I am Taehyung. "
(held my hand for a handshake and was broadly smiling)

She didn't reciprocate my gesture and just mumbled something and walked away.

"Rude!!"

I watched her retreating back figure.

Not a good start, but it's okay it seems.

After the classes, I left the room in a hurry in order to catch the scheduled interview.

Running... Running...

I stopped and relaxed and waited for the bus.
Looking at the watch, more than 20 mins to go.

Tapping foot impatiently, I saw a girl might be around 4 to 5 years old. She was standing across the footpath under the tree, holding a balloon and looking down, sobbing I assume.

Is she lost??,
I see the bus approaching,
Should I go to her or climb the bus.

There was constant debate going on in my mind, one says you should help the girl she might be lost, poor girl she is feeling lonely in this unknown world to her, and the other says you have to catch the bus or you'll reach late at the interview you might loose a chance and then you have to again search for a decent job, this or that... and then...

finally I gave in to my conscience, I ran towards the girl.

Crouching down beside her I tapped her shoulder, she turned towards me and then I saw her face, dried with tears with a small red nose.

I asked her what happened holding her small hand.
And then she pointed towards the candy fallen on the ground and she, again started to cry again.

You couldn't hold yourself anymore and felt empathy towards the Lil one and tried to comfort her like a mother would do.

While you were trying to comfort her, you didn't know that a pair of eyes were watching you.

-----Taehyung's pov-----

I was waiting for Jimin outside the shop, when I noticed a small girl looking down at the fallen candy and softly crying.

I wanted to bring back her smile and therefore went inside the shop and brought a candy and ran outside towards the girl but my steps halted when I saw Y/N with that little one.

She was trying to comfort the crying child, taking her in her arms. Then they sat on the bench, making the child sit on her lap and then y/n handed her a chocolate bringing a smile on her face.

The little one was happily eating the chocolate while she caressed her head, fixed her hair, dusted her knees , arms and dress, and then wiped her tears.

How happily she was conversing with that Lil one, making her giggle and laugh.

The small girl kissed y/n on the cheek while Y/N just reciprocated the gesture and they both chuckled.

Watching them I didn't recognise but I was smiling.

How kind of her to help the little one.

So she does have a kind heart and behaviour.

Wait ....!!

Is she just Rude to me ?

Because I watched her quite a few times, and for the past few days she talked with everyone friendly.

Why ?? What have I ever done to her, we had hardly any meets.

Umm??

Maybe there's something else, or might be

She's just Rude to me!!!

So Beauty + Compassionate + Rude to only me

Hmm... Not a bad combination.
