Chapter 18:
Aizawa had walked into the school with his hand loosely pressed on Y/N's shoulder. He noted the small waddle that came about from their previous evening, and felt both pride and guilt for having been the cause of it. Soon, the two were in front of the infirmary, and Aizawa wrapped his hands around their waist, bringing them close as he places a final, parting kiss on his forehead.
Tapping their waist, the two depart and Aizawa moves towards his own class, trying to think of a list of foods he could buy to make sure his place was stocked whenever Y/N would come over. Beyond that, his mind drifted towards the case with Dabi, and how he would probably have to go for another briefing on the mission, or at the very least some minor information about the case being delegated to another.
He didn't have much time to think before he was dragged into a classroom by Hizashi who then closed the door behind him, with a crooked smile and waggling brows.
"So you and Y/N finally got together, huh?"
Aizawa let out a soft groan, pinching the bridge of his nose as Hizashi slipped by him and made away to his own desk where he pulled out notes for the day ahead.
"Also, some of the team went down to the location. They found evidence of inhabitants, but nothing major. They did, however, find surgical tools so our bet is that the tracker was taken out under the assumption of it being a bullet - or just a tracker."
"So we don't know where they are then?"
"I wouldn't say that. We did find some maps and other bits of tech but it'll take a few before it's deciphered fully."
"In other words, we don't know where they are."
"You're very grumpy this morning," Hizashi retorted, looking up at Aizawa with a grin.

Flore had scouted the warehouse both before and after the recent investigation by a group of heroes. They found nothing, as she expected. Letting out a sigh of relief, she walked out from her cover and paced the side of the building, keeping to the wall. She found her opening, a rusted emergency exit. She pressed her shoulder against it, testing the waters, and heard a scraping creak until she removed herself from it. She dusted off the red and orange from her jacket pressing around for a weak point. The lock seemed mostly rusted, but it would still prove to be an issue if she tried to kick it open. She didn't want to leave here with a wound, especially from rust. Eventually, she decided to use a half-broken pipe, from what she assumed was a vehicle, as leverage and so pushed the groaning monstrosity open.
Finally able to enter, not without noise though, she kept to the back of the shelves. She didn't hear anyone, but that didn't make the situation any less tense. Staying behind the covers of boxes and forgotten inventory, she could just make out some details about the central space which had a gurney and a table with used surgical tools. There were boxes as well, some specific ones which look as though they held military supplies.
After a few minutes of silence, she decided to risk it. She first unstrapped her gun for quick access before slipping from behind the shelves into the open center. Kicking open the military-stamped box, she found that it was empty. it posed an issue because she didn't see the heroes come out with any weaponry, so it was in the hands of the villains.
Scratching her neck, she turned to look at the next box which had, which had medical equipment. She saw IV bags, but also files and books on quirk and quirk physiology. She turned over, looking at the gurney and the surgical tools. It only became more unsettling at that point. She didn't want to directly acknowledge that villains were working with bodies, but that was unfortunately something she did have to consider. Holding one of the books, she looked across to one of the shelves, writing a mental report of what she would have to report to either Aizawa or Y/N later.
She spun around when she heard the crunching of rocks under shoes but was too slow to properly counter the punch. It connected to the side of her head, sending her bent over the box. She used it to push herself back at the assailant and launched another punch at the girl. They moved in this dance, a distraction as Dabi walked up behind Flore and elbowed the back of her neck, sending Flore down to the floor. Flore took a deep breath, and used her arms and leg to support her as she sent the free leg against Dabi's stomach. He grunted as it connected, stumbling back a bit. Flore used that minute of freedom to stagger to her feet but, midway, she was kicked in the stomach.
Frustrated, Dabi kicked the box from the side and used his foot to press down on Flore's dominant hand. He looked down at her, seeing a mixture of defiance and hatred in her eyes that reminded him of that night with the strange hero. Flore saw the small break in his thoughts, and used her free hand to slam a fist against the wound on his leg.
"You stupid, conniving bitch," he screamed as his leg jerked back reflexively. She got up and pulled out her gun, but saw a flash of blue and all went black, a numbness after searing pain.
