Chapter 36 - Barty Crouch Junior.

JANUARY 17.

EMERLYN'S PERSPECTIVE.

Draco had stayed true to his words when he meant by the fact, that he was going to protect Barty at all costs.

However, I would also stay true to my heart and intentions.

Barty had been invited to a wedding, to which he was attending. I knew I wouldn't get another chance to murder Barty again, tonight Barty was bound to be killed.

He was attending the wedding all by himself this time and I knew from the core of my heart, tonight my plans wouldn't go in vain. I wasn't going to discard the fact that the risk was dangerous. The chances of being caught were skyrocketing.

However,

Emerlyn isn't one of the weak.

Emerlyn is cunning.

"Wait, none of you were invited." The guard inspecting the guests spoke, catching the attention of the Bride and the Groom.

"What do you want?" The bride directly spoke to Draco, as he was the one standing in front of me and the other two Aurors. (Pansy & Kiaran)

"Are you here to ruin my wedding!"

"May I remind you, all four of us here are trained professional Aurors." He responded sternly, showing his badge as evidence. "To answer your question, we are actually to ensure your wedding goes just as planned."

Embarrassment filled the Groom.

"Sir- do whatever." The groom replied, and let us enter the venue.

                                                                      - - - - - - - - -

"Pansy, you stay by the women's bathrooms and make a record on who entered and left with the name and time." Draco began assigning our spots. "Kiaran, you keep an eye on every room upstairs."

"Emerlyn, you are going to stay downstairs along with me." Draco continued. "You watch the ceremony and ensure nothing goes wrong- while I keep a personal eye on Barty." Draco finished assigning our roles.

"Of, course you're going to keep your wife with you!" Pansy bitterly spat.

"Actually Emerlyn and Draco work better as a duo, while we progress better as solo" Kiaran replied to Pansy.

"Thank you, Kiaran." Draco let out a plastered smile.

                                                                  - - - - - - - - - - -

I stood in a corner, eyeing each of the guests. The ceremony had officially begun, and while I watched the thought of the fact that Draco and I actually never had a ceremony crossed my mind.

I had only dressed up as a bride to give an illusion to his friends and family, that we'd done a private ceremony, but really we had only eloped. The ceremony went by steadily and guests were now dancing now.

I was freed from my role.

                                                               - - - - - - - - - - -

THIRD-PERSON PERSPECTIVE.

"Look Draco, I know you're trying your best to protect me.." Barty spoke. "..I really appreciate it..but I really need to go to the bathroom..and I don't want you to follow me.."

Draco realized just how tense he had become. "Oh...erm..you can go...I'll be here..waiting.."

Barty slowly exited while the sounds of the music and the guest's cheering filled Draco's ears.

                                                          - - - - - - - - - - - -

MEANWHILE WITH PANSY.

Pansy ultimately followed Draco's demand and did what she was told. Keeping track of every woman who entered the bathroom with her name and time. Both women were there to either gossip or touch up their makeup and Pansy concisely asked for information that seemingly bothered them.

"Pansy..." a melodic voice danced in her ears.

"Axel!" she spat shoving his face away from hers. "What the fuck are you doing here!"

"How many times do I say it not Axel- Jalen!" The tone of his voice dropped. "I don't like my dead name."

"Okay...Jalen..." she continued. "What the fuck are you doing here?"

"Obviously I was invited." He softly twirled a finger around the brunette's hair- strand, his chestnut glazing eyes, meeting Pansy's raven eyes. Axel's hand resting on the wall beside Pansy, while she glared at him, her arms crossed; while her wand was tucked roughly in her occupied hand.

"Which idiot decided to invite a man-whore like you."

Anger flowed on Axel's face. "You" he pointed his finger at her. "Stay within your limits, or I might end up humbling you." He warned.

"Besides, I'm the reason why you know so much about Emerlyn." Axel continued. "Those pictures...and everything, there given by me.." he crumbly confessed.

"Therefore, you must follow me." He finished at last.

                                                          - - - - - - - - - -  - - - -

I spotted the dark figure of Barty walking silently exiting the bathroom. This was my chance, no soul was wandering around him. The back of his head stuck to my gaze, I murmured a spell, shooting my second-unused wand, hidden in the depths of my red cloak.

Within, moments he became unconscious and I apparated from the place, along with him.

                                                                      - - - - - - - - - -

I had apparated into an abandoned, filthy, unkempt cottage. The spark of the cottage was killed, never to be found again. The flowers that once decorated the entirety of the small cottage were now infertile.

Barty's head rested again on the naturally toned wall, still unconscious.

My back turned to him as I fiddled with my wand, dreamily gazing from the window as I shut the final light that was crossing the cottage. The rusted curtains ahead me.

The cottage had belonged to my parents, they had only used it to store rusted, useless; furniture, wood, etc. Never to actually used for an actual reason till today.

Just then, I heard a few sounds behind me. The raven man had begun regaining consciousness.

He stammered over his words, stunned at my presence.

"You're..you're the..killer.."  he finally placed all his words together, in a structured sentence. "But you won't be able to murder me this easily!"

"Is that so, Barty?" I stood beneath the shadows, my back facing his.

I could sense him getting on his footing. Ready to face.

I unraveled the hood exposing my face and turned around exposing my identity to him. Once again, his expressions signaled astonishment. His eyes widened, as his lips fell apart.

"You..are Lucius's daughter-in-law!" He exclaimed out of his state of shock.

"Correct..." I traced my wand with my fingers, with no hesitance, no fear. "Do you also happen to know Falcony and Quentin Malory?" I questioned, realization filling every vein of Barty's.

"That is so wrong..you are wrong..."

"And what you did is correct?" I bellowed, the fuel of anger stored inside me roaring. "You murdered my parents...stabbed my mother like she was a toy!"

"Because that bitch deserved it!"

"Crucio!"

The shots of the curse hit closely to Barty, and a few laughs escaped his horrid mouth. Volcanos of hatred grew drastically inside me, the urge to end Barty was steaming.

He wasn't going to be spared today.

He slid his slim wand out, and a dangerous, enormous duel began between the two of us. Shots of spells fired my way, while explicit harmful spells fixated on him. Both of us had blood trickling down our faces.

My hands grew sweaty as the intensity of the duel increased.

This ongoing duel had caused loads of mess, furniture was being destroyed, and the cabinets of the cottage had changed colors.

Our wands drew apart from another, but my dagger which had crashed to the ground lay between us. It was an unspoken rule, whoever got the dagger first, got the first murder.

I rushed to claim my precious dagger again, his fingers meeting mine. There was an intense fight until I was successful in retrieving my shining dagger yet again.

Barty was aware, that there was no escape now. His attempt to apparate would be unsuccessful. His knees clapped on the ground, with his eyes were glued to the ground.

"Spare me, spare me!"

"I can work along with you, I can give you loads of information about Lucius and Bellatrix!" A defeated Barty pleaded, the top of my index finger poking cooly with the sharp tip of the silver dagger.

"Instead, I'll join hands with you, I'll leave them!"

Barty continued desperately hoping for a change in me.

"You want me to spare you?"

His eyes met mine.

I dropped the dagger recklessly to the ground, the dagger creating a noise like steel violently crashing with the ground.

"Pick that up, and stab yourself."
