"Can you imagine it, me and you..together?" He questioned as we walked through the silent blank walls of the department. To be honest, I didn't I couldn't. How could I possibly imagine living a life with the son of the killer of my parents? I couldn't pursue a romantic relationship with him ever.ย

Never.

"No," Iย  spoke honestly.ย  He looked at me, perhaps a part of his ego was broken.ย

"Why not, is something I'm missing in me?"

"No...I just can't imagine it....at all"

"Well, maybe in the future fate will tell us differently, y'know?"

What was he trying to prove?ย  Confused, I faced him, with my eyebrows frowning. "What do you mean?"

"Nothing, forget about it" he came to a halt. "Would you perhaps like to go on a date with me?"

He was creating hope in this soon-to-be wedding, wasn't he? well, it would be a false hope as I wasn't interested in any way. However, I was speechless, at a loss of words; he didn't just invite me to a...date?

"Look-" I was about to explain when he cut me off.

"To get to know each other better" he explained his intention better. "I don't intend anything..."

Even though he had given me the option to deny it, to reject him. I felt as though I had to, I had to accept it and go on a date. Simountesly, I nodded slightly agreeing to go on a date. We agreed on a date, time, and place. I wasn't really excited or anything, I wasn't certain where this would go. Yet, I had still decided to go on a date.ย

TWO DAYS LATER.

"Serena, can you help me get ready for something?" I groaned as I stumbled through my closet looking for something to wear. I can't believe I was seriously getting ready for a date.

"For what?" Serena placed the book she was lost in on her lap and looked over eyeing me struggling to find an outfit.

"A date" I stated, knowing exactly what her reaction would be.

"WAIT WHAT?" she exclaimed and rushed over to me. "WITH WHO? WHEN?"ย

"A guy I work with, he asked me on a date."

"So cute"

"It's not cute, help me get ready now."

"Choose this outfit" she pointed to a short, lacy, fierce, black dress, perhaps a little too short...

"Are you mental, that almost looks like lingerie, and it's just my first date!"

"Fine this one." she pointed at another yellow sundress, which looked absolutely hideous.ย

"Maybe if I was forty."

"You seriously cannot decide." Serena rolled her eyes and grumbled. I knew she was annoyed, but what could I do?

Nonetheless, in a few minutes, I ended up debating over two dresses one was a soft pastel red graceful short dress. The other one was a plain silky white dress with spaghetti sleeves. I ended up choosing the soft pastel red dress, and to highlight my outfit added a few simple pieces of gold jewelry.

"Don't add too much blush, Serena"

"Don't over-do my hair, Serena"

"Make my eyeliner perfect, Serena"

"For the love of God, stop complaining Emerlyn. You look just fine." Serena assured me and dug another bobby pin into my head. I had come to a realization of how lost I had become on this so-called date. Why was I overthinking?ย

I'm not interested in this date. I'm not interested in this date. I'm not interested in this date. I'm not interested in this date. I'm not interested in this date. I'm not interested in this date. I'm not interested in this date. I'm not interested in this date. I'm not interested in this date. I'm not interested in this date. I'm not interested in this date. I'm not interested in this date. I'm not interested in this date. I'm not interested in this date.

I don't care about Draco. I don't care about Draco. I don't care about Draco. I don't care about Draco. I don't care about Draco. I don't care about Draco. I don't care about Draco. I don't care about Draco. I don't care about Draco. I don't care about Draco. I don't care about Draco. I don't care about Draco. I don't care about Draco. I don't care about Draco.

I kept repeating these words in my head and making myself convinced this was reality, this was true and there was nothing beyond it. There was nothing to scratch off.

"Ouch!" I whined as Serena shoved another bobby pin into the braid she had created.

"Alright, all ready!" she completely ignored my complaint and let out a cocky smirk.

"Tells me what happens after" expressed Tom softly, as we let go of the quick hug we shared for a moment.

"I will."

"I can't believe I'm doing this," I muttered under my breath and took a seat in front of Draco. I could smell strong cologne in the atmosphere and could feel a pair of eyes glaring at me. My heart was slowly starting to race and my palms were sweating. Maybe, it was because I hadn't been on a date for almost centuries now.ย

"Did you say something, Emerlyn?" asked Draco, I felt flattered by him calling me by my name.

"Erm- no" I looked over at him and studied his outfit. He had been wearing a few black layers of clothing, paired with old-fashioned jewelry.ย

We had a small conversation, about many things. I thought everything would be fine until he distressingly stated.

"Oh erm- by the way my parents think I'm insanely in love with you," he said tightly.ย

It took me a minute to process that while looking confidently into his gaze.ย

"Why would you say that?"

"Well it was the only way to let them agree to this upcoming wedding," he spoke looking directly back at me; whilst taking a sip of the non-alcoholic drink, which only made my heart race faster. I never liked eye - contact. It always made me nervous but for some reason, this was giving me more anxiety than usual.

To distract me, I looked around the lavish restaurant. There were candles glowing as light, and the waiters themselves acquired elegant costumes, the food smelled delicious. I didn't care if it was expensive or not. I had a high-paying job, I could easily pay it off.ย  After dessert was silence, I played with my fork making tiny shapes on the plate; waiting for the waiter to arrive.ย

- - - - - - - - - - -

"Would you perhaps like to go on a walk nearby the restaurant?" he questioned, as we both exited the small, but fancy and lavish restaurant.

"Sure, why not" I had nothing better to do right now, so I agreed.

We walked around the suburb, a quiet, dark neighborhood. There was a small abandoned park and while walking towards it; our fingers brushed against one another. There were no words, there was no expression. I couldn't describe the feeling in words, it wasn't love nor would it ever be but it was something.ย

The only sound there was the breeze of the cold wind, which blew through my hair. My eyes stuck on focusing on the ground, and I couldn't tell what direction Draco was looking; not even from the corner of my eyes. We decided to take a seat on a bench, and I looked around the dark cold park.

"I forgot to tell you something, you look nice- erm- I mean your dress suits you-" he awkwardly complimented me. Even though, it felt like a sin to admit it. A part, a very small part of me had been waiting for a compliment from him.

I was so weird. Why would I want a compliment from him?

"Thanks" I faintly smiled at him.

"Have you ever had any past relationships?" he asked, staring at the stars this time.ย

That was a touchy question, although I hadn't wasted my life dating people. I did have one person I'd never forget. Tears threatened my eyes but I kept them back in. "It's...complicated."ย

God, my voice didn't just crack.

"Is it still going on?" Draco avoided the tone of my voice.

"No, I've lost contact with that person, and I don't ever intend to letter them; but enough about me, how about you?"

"Honestly same as you, it's complicated."

The first person that came to my mind, was Pansy Parkinson. I didn't feel as though, it wasn't my place to question her or not. If he wanted to share further he could, but I zipped my mouth and stayed quiet.

"Do you prefer the moon or the sun?" he randomly asked, as he moved closer to me, barely leaving any space between us. He placed his right hand on top of my left hand, I could feel his rings poke my hand, but it was bearable. I didn't know if it was intentional or not, but he didn't dare move his hand.

"I prefer the stars" I answered.

"And why is that?" he casually caressed my hand with his thumb.ย

I wasn't intending this date to become romantic, nor was I thinking about making a move. However, this was turning in another direction. I didn't specifically feel uncomfortable, but I wasn't fond of it either.ย

"The sun and the moon may have a bright shine in the sky, but stars are the real glow." I started to shake my right leg in constant movement and realized he was mimicking my body language.ย

After a few minutes, it was completely dark.ย

"Well, it's getting dark; I think I should go now" I commented.

He slightly nodded, softly placed his hand underneath the hand he had been caressing, and brought my hand near his lips, placing a small and quick peck. I looked at him, admiring the act but I was also left confused.ย

"Goodbye"

A few dates went on, and now we had decided on the wedding, It wasn't far from now, and my plan on how I'd start killing each and every one of the killers had come together as well. My first victim was the weakest among all. Bellatrix's husband; Rodophlous Lestrange.ย

I had sworn to myself, to murder and end them all brutally. To give each of them a slow and painful death, similar to how they had ended my parents. I wasn't going to kill them a normal death; rather each one of them would be stabbed with one of my daggers.ย

ย A FEW MONTAGES OF SOME OF THE DATES.ย

MAY 2

"I give up!" I rapidly pressed the buttons of the arcade game in front of me, failing every game, no matter how many times I attempted. Draco had burst into laughter seeing me try and lose every single time.ย

"Here let me show you." he moved beside me, and explained all of the things I was doing wrong in the game, and most of the steps I performed were in fact incorrect.ย

MAY 10

"Is it a trend for women to wear only one earring?" Draco unusually asked as I spotted him holding one of the earrings I had recently lost at work and Iย  hadn't even realized.

"No, and give it back!"ย

"Well get it" he raised his arm, above my reach and had a snarky smirk. He was mocking me for being 5'5 wasn't he?

MAY 17

"You poor soul" I scooped the wet cat into my arms, and let it run off in the forest. The poor thing was moments away from drowning in the healthy lake in front of me.ย

I looked over to Draco, who had already been gazing at me, lovingly.ย

"Why are you looking at me like that?"ย

"I'm looking at you like I would look at any normal person."

MAY 26

My hands reached the violin, as his fingertips met the piano. We both played the various instruments and created a melody that was so beautiful to the ear, that the soul would be in peace. I had lost track of time, on how long we had been playing.ย

- - - -ย

"Ya know for the first time, I actually enjoyed playing the piano and realized the beauty of it- my parents had forced me into playing piano and I always had hated it" he admitted.

"Well, for me I was offered to take free violin classes as a child, so I took advantage of the offered opportunity"

JUNE 7TH

"You didn't have to do this, y'know?" I sighed, as I examined the shining ring sitting neatly on my ring finger, given to Draco.

"Well, I don't want people asking 'Where's the ring?'"

"This marriage means nothing to me, I don't love you, and it's just a deal for my own gain; Draco." I expressed. "And get that planted straight into your head." I finished as I slid off the ring, it was true this marriage didn't have any value; nor would it ever hold any value in my heart. I wasn't interested, not one bit.ย

I wasn't ready for Draco's response.

A/N: the wedding is gonna be the next chapter hehe, and the real story will finally begin.
