"Where have you been!" I questioned Serena as I helped her jump inside her decorated room with various plants from the white squared window. 

"Told you already." She took a breath of relief. "With my boyfriend" she turned around and exposed the lovebites that spread all over her neck. 

"Oh." my lips curled into a smirk. "So it got steamy." I finished as she started pouring the foundation on her naked skin.

She cracked a smile. "Shut it"

"I swear I'm gonna see you in your grave if Tom figures out" 

"I know!" she replied distressed as she started blending as steadily as she could. 

"He was already asking me, where you were but I tried to cover for you as best I could." 

"You're making it worse for me, Emerlyn!" she continued blending rougher. 

At that moment the door burst open.

It was none other than Tom. Serena gulped as she dropped the beauty blender and faced Tom.

"Where have you been?" He questioned, as a visible vein twitched on his jawline. I had grown up with Tom, I knew what made him lose his temper. 

"I was shopping with my friends" she replied slowly hiding behind me.

"What friends?" 

"Oh come on Tom; leave her alone," I spoke. "She can do whatever she likes!" I defended Serena. 

"No, she can't because clearly, she isn't mature enough!" His tone got louder, and his words got rougher to swallow. 

"Yes I can!" she protested, revealing herself in front of him. "I'm not a little child anymore, who doesn't know the difference between right and wrong!" 

"Clearly you don't, that's why the ink in my quill lasts longer than your relationships!" 

"Says the one who's never been in a relationship!" There was anger flooding Serena's voice. 

Sometimes, I was grateful I didn't have a sibling. 

Instead, I moved to the side and let them argue. I wasn't going to join them as from the past experiences I would end up being dragged in. Calmly, beside me, I took a green apple from the fruit bowl and took a scrumptious bite of the apple.

I watched them argue as though it was entertainment, finally enough Tom left leaving Serena in tears. 

I threw away the leftover apple and sat down beside her. Her head had met her knees and her arms were wrapped around her covering her face.

"Serena," I took a seat beside her, my feet underneath me. "You alright?" 

"Obviously not!" she exposed her face, her cheeks were puffed and her eyes were watery - red. 

"Look, it's alright" I held her arm. "I know you're not in the best mood, but he's only trying to protect you."

"I know...but he's going too far." her words had become tender and gentle. 

She wrapped her arms around me, embracing me and giving me a hug. I hugged her back ensuring her assurance.

"You know...sometimes I wish my parents were alive" she sniffed, burying her head deeper. "My father left me before I was born, my mother died when she gave birth to me..and.."

"..and..my older brother left me when I was still in Hogwarts, never to be seen again..." she sobbed. 

I listened to her, her pain. 

"Well, I have you at least" the heartbreaking tone changed to a more cheerful one. "Promise me, you'll never leave me," she asked.

"I promise you, I will never leave you" I answered with complete confidence.

"Axel, what do you want!" I shouted at him. I didn't care if there was attention on me right now, all I wanted was for him to leave me alone, I didn't want to speak to him nor did I want to be in his presence even for a second longer. 

"Let me explain myself, Emerlyn!" He replied.

"Explain what? That YOU left me!" I pointed at him as anger filled every vein in my body. "Or that YOU have been stalking me the past week? or that YOU are the most toxic person I've ever encountered in my life!" I spat out the poison filling up in me.

"My love, I didn't have a choice-"

"Don't call me that!"

"I didn't mean to make you suffer, I never meant any of it." Tears began to drop from his siren eyes. "And...I understand if you never wanna talk to me again..."

Before I could respond, Draco interfered. "Emerlyn, who is this?"

"My ex..and he's been following me everywhere I go," I answered blatantly. I was so done.

The emotion in Draco completely and drastically dropped. He threw poisonous glances at Axel, and Axel who had figured out Draco was my husband did the same. 

"Malfoy..." Axel narrowed his dark intimidating eyes towards Draco. 

"Ubel, what a shame; I thought you fleed from England forever," He responded.

Did they know each other? 

My mind was whirling with different thoughts and emotions, not coming to terms with one. I glared at both of the men, puzzled at how they knew each other. 

"Well, I came back for Emerlyn" Axel spoke up. "But looks like she chose to be with a  sinister monster like you" he finished, as his dark - midnight eyes met my honeyed hazel eyes. 

"Monster me?" Draco himself also locked his grey eyes with me. I wasn't sure where to look. "Why would you choose to have a past with the devil himself?"

Just like that, they spent minutes that seemed like hours arguing over the past. From their arguments it seemed as though they had despised each other in the past, I had never met someone whom Draco envied so much. 

The night had arrived, and it was one of those nights again where I couldn't sleep. Instead, I placed my hands on the railing of the dark window and viewed the moon and the stars.

Trying to count as many stars as I could find in the twilight my shoulder suddenly was hit with light pressure. 

It was Draco, he had placed his chin on my shoulder.

"I thought you were asleep" I spoke. 

He let out a sigh. "Couldn't-" he stopped himself. "Oh and by the way, before you mention anything about Ubel, just know that I don't care about your past with him."

I was at a loss of words.

"The past is the past, but from now I just want you to stay from him." 

"Then I want you to stay away from Parkinson" I replied, I didn't like her guts. 

"Why?" He protested. "It's not like, you love me or anything; so why should I?"

"Then, it's not like you love me either, so Why should-"

"Because I do love you." 

A/N: So it's one of those chapters where there are multiple purposes to it, and in this chapter, a lot happened. I thought we needed insight on Axel, Serena, and Tom. Lmk what you think Emerlyn is gonna respond with to Draco's confession.
