Chapter 11 - Two down, three to go.

The day had come, where it'd mark Barty's end. I was still in the process of healing from the head injury, I wasn't released from the hospital yet.

I wasn't going to let that stop me.

Serena had agreed to help me, and now was the time I desperately needed. The clock had hit nine, and Barty was going to be not last but one of the last people working and would be leaving soon. Best of all, Draco had left the hospital.ย

I apparated to the back of the hospital and Serena handed me a red cloak to hide my identity for a bit with a new bottle of perfume mixed with the same potion.ย

"I'll go use the floo network, and you go visit Barty," I told Serena, and we separated our ways.ย

THIRD-PERSON POINT OF VIEW.ย

"Ah! Miss Riddle!" They both spotted each other on the lobby floor. Barty greeted Serenaย enthusiastically ย They both exchanged a smile and a handshake.

"Long time no see, sir," she replied, smiling.ย

"You're right, long time no see. Those days feel old when I use to train you in this department."

"They do, and that's why I'm here." she continued. "I need all the records of me here, as a way of experience for my next job interview." Serena finished.

"Oh really, where are you planning to work?" Barty questioned. Serena's muscles became a little tenser, she was lying. She wasn't planning to work anywhere in fact she was still in training and it would a couple more months for her to start working.ย

"Sir, it's pretty late and a very long story, maybe another day I'll explain."ย

As they walked through the department, Barty was surprised to see it empty, with no guards, not a single person to be spotted.

"No worries, dear. Come on now" he called the elevator and they both stepped in.ย

As the doors closed, Serena kept her head straight facing the elevator door. "Sir, do you believe in justice?"

"That's an unusual question, but yes I do.."

"To be precise a death for death" Serena continued staring more intensely at the elevator door.

Barty dangerously gulped, touching the sides of his neck.

"You alright, sir?" she questioned slowly lowering her tone, in a solemn manner.

"Yes.."

"You don't know what's coming for you Barty," said Serenaย under her breath.

EMERLYN'S POINT OF VIEW.

The two had finally reached their desired destination. Opening the door,ย  Barty walked in with Serena following him.

Barty was puzzled as he spotted a woman with a red cloak covering her from head to toe.

While Barty tried to figure me out, Serena innocently slid the door shut, locking it.

"Ma'am, I think you're in the wrong office, besides what-"

"I don't think so, Mr. Crouch" I turned around exposing my identity.

"Who are you and what do you want?" He questioned harshly.

"I've come to remind you of the actions you committed several, several years ago, Barty."

Barty remained quiet.

"I am Emerlyn Medea."

No word, no response, no nothing.

"Still don't get it? The daughter of Falcony and Quentin Malory, the couple you murdered 14 years ago!"

Realization finally seemed to hit Barty. His expression dropped drastically.

As expected, his immediate response was to attack, he took his wand out-

"Expelliarmus!"

There lay his wand flatly on the ground too far from his reach.

"Fine I admit it, I killed them! I'm sorry forgive me!" he cried out, begging, rushing towards me.

For this to be sincere, it was too good to be true.

I was about to reveal my dagger wrapped around my thigh when he suddenly physically attacked me.

He glanced at the injury on my head, realizing it was already injured and made it his main spot to attack.

He continued, blasting my head against the wall and blood spilled on my face, and drops of blood spurred on the floor.

Until Serena brought him tightly gripped onto him bringing him back to his original spot and fighting him as well. I immediately joined them.

Even, then he managed to free his way out of our grips, sprinting to the door and trying his best to escape. Crying, screaming, and banging as loud as he could on the wooden door.

It was now or never.

With time slipping out of my hands like water, I took my dagger and aimed it at him.

Throwing it in mid-air and it landed right threw him in his back. The bottom of the dagger crashed straight into him.

The door re- changed its color into a dramatic bloody red, his back reaching the ground beneath him and the tip of the dagger sticking out from him covered in fresh blood.

There was silence in the room for a hot minute.

"Serena, you alright?" I walked over to her, giving her a hug of assurance.

She gave me a slight nod. "Let's get out of here-" she looked over. "And we need to fix your bandage again!"

"Wait." I sat beside the dead body of Barty, his eyes wide open and his mouth shut. Examining his bloody body I attempted to take out the dagger stuck inside him.

I turned his body to the side, pulling the bloody dagger out of him, and turned the dagger into utter, dry, grey dust.

"Why don't you tell me how you managed to get into the room!" exclaimed Serena as she slid off the damaged, red, bandage off my forehead.

"Well..."

FLASHBACK.

I managed to make my way into the department, using the floo powder.

Immediately, I was caught by the many security guards of the department.

They approached me questioning me, my whereabouts, and my identity as I covered my cloak.

Knowing, I couldn't duel them all at once. I took out the given perfume by Serena spraying them all at once.

Each and every single one of them froze to their spot, with their nails turning purple and their lips turning a shade of deep blue.

And while Serena shared a conversation with Barty outside. I dragged each of them into a nearby empty office, used the Oblivion charm, and finally made my way into Barty's office.

END OF FLASHBACK.

"That'd be a great story to tell our children wouldn't it be?" She spoke, taping the new white bandage wrapped around my forehead.

"Yea, if we wish to traumatize them for life"
