"Well, he's been through here alright." Edmund said.

"His animals are all tied up and look pretty sad." Rapunzel said.

"Why would Hector do this? He loves his animals." Quirin asked.

"Obviously he didn't want them to bail him out. He must've been certain that death was the only path." Adira said.

Rapunzel untied Ibis. He roared. She then untied Anubis and Seth. They ran to the footprints and started sniffing.

"They have a very keen sense of smell. I believe they can help us find him sooner." Adira said.

"We should hurry. Something tells me he's in for a ride." Edmund said.

"Aaaaarrghhh!" I scream.

I've never felt so much pain before. It's like I was a paper being shredded.

"Extracting bone can be...painful." He said.

"No duh." I pant.

"The pain is worth it and needed." He said.

"Needed for what? Killing Zhan Tiri and me?"

"No, using Zhan Tiri?"

"What?"

"Zhan Tiri's blood is in your blood the power is in every muscle, bone, drop of blood. Your blood is just a vessel for her power." 

"So, the plan is for me to bleed out to death?"

"I'm afraid your death is delayed."

"What?! I need to be rid of this monster!" 

"You will."

"How?! You were supposed to kill me you cowards!" 

He punched me in the face hard. For an old man, he can throw a hard punch.

"Cowards no, visionaries." He said walking out of the room with samples of bone and blood.

This did not go as how I imagined it.
