The fire ceased. Quirin ran to me. He turns me over.

"Varian..." He breathes.

"Is he...?" Rapunzel asked running over.

Quirin touched my cheek.

"C'mon son, wake up." He repeated.

He started to shake me.

"C'mon wake up!!" He cried. 

Tears slid down onto my body. He began to cry and cry. Rapunzel dropped to her knees and started to cry. Eugene cried. Red and Angry cried. Even Cassandra cried.

"I've done this. I've killed my own son!" He yelled. 

"It wasn't his time!" Rapunzel yelled. 

She heard a high-pitched scream.

"Even I agree on that." A women came from the shadows. 

She was dressed in black. She wore a black veil. She had a blue glowing gem.

"Who are you?" Quirin asked holding me.

"You don't recognize my scream?" She asked. 

"You're the banshee of death." Rapunzel said standing up.  

"Normally I would guide his soul to the afterlife, but it is not his time." She said.

"How can we bring him back?" Quirin asked.

"The sun must sing." She answered.

"What does that mean?" Quirin asked. 

She looked at Rapunzel. She looked at Quirin and then walked into the shadows. She looked back at Rapunzel and Quirin.

"You must hurry. The more his soul goes to the afterlife, the more it'll be harder to restore what has been lost." She said.

She soon walked away completely. 

"Wait! What does that mean?!" Quirin yelled after her.

"Wait! I know what I must do." Rapunzel smiled.
