"Ughhh." I mutter.

I open my eyes. The shadow was gone. I look at where I was laying. On the ground. It was late afternoon. My guess, three or four pm. Okay, so Dad won't freak out if I am a little late to get home. I felt pain in my gut. I put my hand over my stomach. Blood. Whatever that thing was it sliced me open like a fish. I look around. Yup, it's gone. Phew. 

"Rediger?" I ask looking around. 

He came out from inside a tree trunk. I shakily stood up, wincing. 

"Ah, okay, okay, yeah I'm thinking we should tell someone about this." I say. 

I had to get to Corona. I have to go there. Rapunzel would know what to do, that or I need serious medical attention. Probably should get medical attention first. I slowly walk through the forest. Resting on anything I could find. I really hope that thing doesn't come back for me. 

My vision started to get a little blurry. Oh no, I'm losing too much blood, that is unfortunate. I started to hear footsteps.

"Hey, what's with all the blood?" I hear a familiar voice.

That blood would most likely be mine. 

"Someone's hurt Eugene." I hear Rapunzel say.

Also would be me. I don't think I have the energy to call for them. I definitely didn't want to move. I hear them coming this way. I see them come out of the bushes. They gasped when they saw my gutted chest.

"Varian!" Rapunzel said. 

"Help...me...please." I faint.
