Y/n's POV

I woke up unexpectedly. I checked the time to see that it was 4 in the morning. I attempted to go back to sleep but it was futile as I couldn't. I got up and decided i wanted to sit outside. I opened my door and began walking around only to get lost. It was dark and everything looked the same. I felt like I was walking in circles. I then saw a light behind me. I turned to see Niccolo tired lying staring at me

"What are you doing?" He asks

"I couldn't sleep so I was trying to go outside but I feel like I'm in a maze, it's so dark" I say. He slightly laughs

"I'll show you" he says walking out of the door way and towards me. He grabs my hand

"Don't get lost" He says teasing me. I feel myself become flustered. He led me to the backyard. He opened the sliding door and we both walked outside. I closed the door and then we both sat down. We looked up to see the sky was clear of clouds. All the stars were visible. I stared at the stars with a small smile on my face. Me nor Niccolo realized we were still holding hands. I rested my head on his (Arm/Shoulder). I was oddly at peace just sitting here with him. My heart felt at ease. I then noticed it was becoming increasingly hard to keep my eyes open. I struggled to stay awake yet I wanted to sleep. It was a pointless struggle as I did fall asleep on Niccolo's (Arm/Shoulder)

Niccolo's POV

I turned to see Y/n sleeping on me. I smiled at how peaceful she looked. We should go inside, but if I move her inside she might wake up. I carefully moved her so she was now ontop of my chest resting on me. We were both flat now on the cushioned bench. She unconsciously snuggled up against me which caused my face to dust pink.

Eventually I felt my eyes start to close themselves and realized I should get some sleep as well. Which I did

~Morning~

Y/n's POV

I felt myself come to. My eyes were still closed but I could hear voices

"You got the colors right?" Kevin asks

"Yeah, I'll just give daddy a little mustache" Lyra says

"Just don't wake mommy up" Kevin says

"Alright" She says. I heard markers open. I internally laughed as I pretended to sleep.

"We're gonna make him look nice" Kevin says with malicious intent

"Let's turn him into a puppy!" Lyra says

"Shhh too loud" Kevin says scolding her

"Sorry" She says. I then felt both kids get super close. I heard markers up against something. I felt Niccolo begin moving.

"Hurry we gotta go!" Kevin says. Lyra begins screaming as I hear the door open and shut. Niccolo jolted awake causing us to bang heads. My eyes shot open as I grabbed my head

"Why'd you go and do th-" I began in pain but stopped and began laughing as I saw his face. He looked at me all confused.

"Your face, they-" I couldn't finish my sentence as I was laughing so hard. I rolled off the bench and on to the ground but I didn't care.

"The kids, they got you good" I say laughing

"What do you mean?!" He asks

"They drew all over your face" I say. His eyes go wide. He sprints inside. I stand up and follow after him. When I got there I saw him in the bathroom  scrubbing his face. He lifted the towel from his face

"IT'S NOT COMING OFF!" He yells. I go to find Kevin and Lyra. I open her door to see them both in bed pretending to be asleep

"Oh... it seems my children are in bed still. I guess they don't want McDonald's" I say sighing. They both shoot up

"I WANT MCDONALD'S!" They both yell

"Were you guys really asleep?" I ask. Both of their eyes go wide as they realize they have been caught

"Don't tell daddy we did it" Lyra says

"If you tell, I'll never forgive you" Kevin says

"I heard everything" Niccolo says unamused with a rag in his hand. They both scream

"NO HE'S GONNA PUT US IN TIMEOUT! MOMMY HELP US!" Kevin yells which makes me laugh

"This isn't funny!" Niccolo says fuming.

Time to save the kids

I give them a wink and turn to Niccolo. I give him a quick kiss on the cheek which makes his freeze in place. I then look at the kids and motion for them to leave which they do. I turned back to Niccolo seeing that a smile was on his face which made my heart speed up.

"I uh... quite enjoy it.. when you do that.." He says all flustered. I lean in closer feeling awfully bold

"So how would you feel if I gave you a real kiss?" I asked smirking. His blush got darker

"I- um.. well-" He began but I walked out leaving him by himself. I smirked as I went to go brush my teeth. I got to the bathroom and began brushing my teeth. I heard footsteps and turned to see a flustered Niccolo

"W-We're not done talking" He says embarrassed.

"Well I wouldn't want to kiss with morning breath now would I?" I ask. His eyes widened and he suddenly ran away. I continued brushing my teeth. Once I was done I went to the front room to see Kevin and Lyra watching Pokémon.

"Pikachu! I choose you!" Ash said on the TV. The two kids were conversing about the show and if Team Rocket would win. They would also scream at the TV if it didn't go their way. I found it all cute. I then felt someone behind me. I turned to see Niccolo. He was still flustered

"Can I?" He asks
