"B-but you love Aphmau..."

I say, my eyes looking glassy from the tears forming. He stared at me in complete utter shock as I attempted to move out of the way.

"L-let me go, please.." I pleaded the tears stream down my flushed cheeks from crying so much. The pleads grew louder as I was now shoving him away and pounding on his chest. The shouting got worse by the minute.

"I HATE YOU!"

"WHY DID YOU MAKE ME FEEL THIS WAY!"

"LET ME DIE!"

"I DON'T DESERVE A LIFE LIKE THIS!!"

The more I shouted, the more Hurt and mad Laurance's expressions were.

Soon enough I had managed to get away from his grasp and tried to make a run for it. Yet Suddenly, Laurance grabbed on one of your arms with a tightened grip, making me turn to him.  "I CAN'T LIVE A LIFE WITHOUT YOU!" He shouted glaring me. I winced as his grip on my arm tightened. Noticing this, his grip un-tightened and his eyes softened with regret.

Laurance was about to speak when an quick sound of wind picked up, as if something was thrown.

Just then it was as if time stopped, one moment I was looking towards the direction the sound came from, as I blinked once someone shouted my name and I was pushed into the cold ground.

I blinked again but multiple times regaining my sight which had seemed to fade slightly. I sat up which caused me to have a great case of nausea. I felt dizzy for a moment as I looked around for any sign of Laurance.

I gasped with wide eyes when I saw Laurance had  an arrow in his chest and he stood there frozen for a moment, as if recapping what had just happened Suddenly,  fell to the ground groaning in pain.

"LAURANCE!" I shouted.

"N-no.... Nononono.." I mumbled crawling over to his side. I gently placed laid his head on my knees as I continued to mumble.

He struggled looking over at me calling my name, "... I-I..." Tears cascaded down my rosy cheeks as I choked back a sob. "I-I.... I'm S-so sorry..." I whispered placing his hand in my cheek and I sobbed.

"H-HELP! S-Somebody... P-Please..! H-help us..!" I began shouting non-stop to my lungs content.

Soon enough, Pheonix Drop guards came and rushed Laurance to a medic, leaving me alone.

I began to sob even more hugging my knees, mumbling things under my breath. I felt a firm grip on my shoulder mKing me look up quickly. It was Aphmau, starring at me with a cold and disappointed look.

"This is all your fault.. You satisfied yet Johnson?" She spat making you tremble in shock. "Just accept that he never liked you, I mean, you almost got him killed and all." She stood up, walking away and left me alone.

"S-she's right.... I-it's all my fault... I-I'm s-so sorry..." I muttered to myself repeatedly as I continued to sob even more.

I  walked to the guard tower anxiously,  finally ready to see Laurance for the first time since the incident. A part of me felt uneasy, as Aphmau's words echoed in my mind.

I-if... She's right... I need to hear it from him.

I walked over to Dante and he looked at me like he knew what I was here for.
"He's on the second floor." He said smiling. I sighed in relief looking at Dante, "He's locked up in his room and hasn't eaten since, so could you please take him the food on the table for him?"

"Uh.. Sure.' I said with a small smile.  Dante smiled again. I returned  the gesture, walking into the guard tower.

I grabbed the food from the table and  walked up to Laurance's room door and knocked on it softly.

There was no answer, So you knocked again.

Still no answer.

"L-Laurance... Open up... It's me..." I spoke up knocking again. Maybe he's sleeping..?

I sighed and sat down on the floor leaning my back against his door. Suddenly I started talking on my own.

"T-this reminds me of that one time, I had locked myself in my room. I was upset I wasn't cut out for being a guard of Pheonix drop s-so... I sulked about it. But.. That was no match for Laurance Zavahl." A small laugh escaped my lips.

"You sat on the opposite side of the door, telling me things to reassure me... You specifically said, "When you feel better, I want to be the first one to see that beautiful smile of yours. So I'm not moving from this spot." And you didn't. It was the middle of the night and I had opened the door slightly, only to see you asleep with your head against the door." I fiddled with my fingers a smile on my face.

That was the day you realize you had feelings for him, so how could you forget?

"Soon enough I was out of the room. When I got out you said, "Now, where's that smile?" Which made me laugh. "There it is." You said, and we hugged..." I trailed off, Getting a little sleepy and shaking my head discarding it.

"I'm glad it was you.." I said and stood up once again, leaving the food on the floor.

"Laurance...?" I said once again.

"There's a key under the mat.." He croaked from inside.

I was shocked for a moment, but got the key and opened the door slowly. I peeked my head in to see Laurance laying in his bed, bandaged around his chest.

I walked in looking at the floor trembling, "I-I'm..-" I breathed out but was cut off by laurance speaking up.

"Johnson... C-can you come here?" He asked which caught you off guard. "Okay.." You replied walking over to his bedside.

"Closer.."

Maybe he can't get up..?

I  thought before I got closer to him. Our faces were only inches apart.

"W-what is-"

Laurance cut me off by lifting himself up a little putting his hand on the back of my head  pressed his lips against mine. My eyes widened in shock,

Wait he just..! He lied!!!

I ignored the voice in my head and melted into the kiss, Kissing back this time.

He slowly pulled away and looked at you with that sweet smile of his.

" I love you. And only you. That's all that matters to me. I don't want you beating yourself about what happened, or doing something stupid." He said seriously. Tears formed in your eyes as you nodded slowly. No ones every cared for me so much...

Not since my family died.

"A-Alright.." You reply, Laurance pulled you into a hug.

"Your such an idiot for pulling that stunt on me.." You mumble crossing your arms as you sat on Laurance's bed.

"You love me!~" he said with a cheeky smile and booped your nose.

You let out a small huff and cross your arms. "Yeah.. I do.." You said hugging him again.

Soon enough you were both snuggled in each others arms, Laurance stroking your hair with one hand and the other on your waist.

"I don't know what I'd do without you..." You mumble snuggling into his chest before falling asleep.
