He carries a rebellion relic, the second largest after Xaden's; stretching from his right hand to the side of his neck. Having been trained by his father and Xaden, he is skilled in all weaponry, although he prefers swords, daggers, and hand-to-hand combat.
He's tall, with broad shoulders and a slender waist. His long, silver hair is often braided into a bun at the nape of his neck during sparring, or woven into a single braid during flight maneuvers. He's been described as having pouty lips, a sharp jawline, high cheekbones, and a beautiful straight, pointed nose. His blind eye is milky and lifeless, and his seeing iris is either a pale blue or a brisk greyish-blue–not like the ocean, more like the sky before a storm, heavy with the threat of wind and rain–depending on his mood. The gash of a faded scar runs up the left side of his face, cutting through his cheek to his brow. He smells of sandalwood, leather, and citrus.

— 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍. He's an enormous white speartail dragon with menacing pale-gold eyes and hard-as-stone scales, with spikes that ripple down his neck like a mane. His elegant tail is long, lined with spikes, with a golden spearhead tip, sharp enough to cut through rock and bone. He is the last of his den, according to the records, though some believe there are more whites beyond the northern sea. His voice has been described as deep like rumbling mountains dripping with centuries of wisdom. He is the child of Bunaitheoir and Máthairivance, descended from the formidable Gaheredin Line, and is the mate of Fola– their mating bond is the strongest to appear in centuries.
He values resilience, astuteness, and valor, choosing to bond with Reserras after fifty years of remaining unbonded. He would not hesitate to burn anyone to cinders that dares to threaten Reserras. He has a very dry sense of humor and enjoys teasing Reserras about his relationship with Xaden.
He is the largest and most powerful dragon in the Empyrean.

Lethal spikes ripple down her neck and spine, all the way to her daggertail, which resembles a shard of sparkling obsidian with a pointed tip sharper than steel. Her voice is usually the opposite of gentle in Reserras' mind.
She is one of the most powerful dragons in the Empyrean, and amongst her kin, Fola is known as vicious and lethal.
She has never bonded, and only for the sole reason to keep Grian alive, did Fola bond with Reserras. She is fiercely protective of her mate, and will defend him against any foe. Although she is often hostile to Reserras in the first months of their bonding–claiming she would throw him off if he ever dared to mount her–she will not hesitate to burn anyone who brings him harm to cinders.

He has warm-toned tawny-brown skin with dark stubble along his jawline and his eyes resemble the shade of gold-flecked onyx. His features are described as harsh and utterly perfect, as if an artist spent their lifetime carving and sculpting them, yet alone a year on his mouth. A diagonal scar bisects his left eyebrow and ends at the top corner of his cheek. His chest is massive, with wide shoulders and heavily muscled arms.
He carries a dark shimmering rebellion relic curved in swirls and dips, starting at his left wrist up to his collar, swirling up his neck and stopping at his jawline. His entire back is covered in a dragon relic of Sgaeyl, that sweeps from his waist to over both of his shoulders, and one hundred-and-twelve scars, that almost resemble silver lines, that he took claiming responsibility for the lives of the Marked Ones–the hundred-and-thirteenth scar rests over his heart, for Reserras.
He's always seen in black leather clothes, especially his flight jacket or uniform, and smells like mint, leather, and something that borders between citrus and floral.
He is an expert with several kinds of weapons and apt in learning new kinds. He's relativity noted as being the best fighter in the Riders Quadrant by his fellow Marked Ones. His fighting style is described as dirty and fucking ruthless, "fast enough to catch a flying dagger without using lesser magic".

Her daggertail has knifelike spikes at the tip, and the tip of her wings' top-joint are crowned by a single fierce talon. She is the rarest of the blues, and ruthless does not begin to describe her, nor does she abide by the dragons' laws. Even most other dragons steer clear of her. She does whatever she wants, whenever she wants, according to some.
Sgaeyl and Tairn are mated dragons, who have chosen to adopt the orphaned dragon Andarna together. She shows her softer side when she is around her mate.
She descends from the Gormfaileas Line of dragons. She was previously bonded to Xaden's grandfather, and she did not bond for another fifty years until she bonded with Xaden during his Threshing. Even though she has been bonded to him for two years, she was not supposed to–for bonding a human that is a direct descendant of a previous rider is frowned upon and can cause the rider to either go insane or develop a second signet.

She is seen as too small and too fragile; assumed shorter than "five foot four inches"; and due to a connective tissue disorder, she bruises, dislocates joints, and breaks bones easily. She uses cloth wraps and metal clasps to wrap her joints and prevent them from dislocating/being further injured.
Her hair is brown and starts to slowly fade around her shoulders to a steely, metallic silver by the ends. To stay agile in both sparring and battle, she keeps her hair braided in a crown around her head so it can't be grabbed easily. Violet's eyes are a light hazel of varying blues and ambers.
The second to youngest Sorrengail wears all riders black, just like everyone else in the riders quadrant, yet unlike everyone else, aside from Reserras Atonal, she dons a vest-styled corset to wear over her shirts that covers her from collarbone to just below her waist wrapping around her breasts and crossing up and over her shoulders. The vest was specially crafted using Teine's scales–her older sister's dragon.
Violet is extremely intelligent, confident, and stubborn. She cares nearly too deeply for her friends and siblings, and she will easily stand up for herself and those who need it. Her inner strength and courage made Tairn choose her. Violet is also an expert in both language and several kinds of weapons, although she prefers to fight with daggers. Her combat style uses her small size and speed to her advantage. Not only is steel her weapon, but also the poisons one finds within herbs and plants.

—   𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍.  He is currently the third largest dragon in active service and one of only three black dragons aside from Codagh and Fola, with scarred black wings, an underbelly covered in rock-hard scales, and long claws. A descendant of the cunning Dubhmadinn Line, he is the mate of Sgaeyl. He's a little over a hundred years old, which makes him about middle aged. He's revered as a battle dragon among his kin, and is accredited for the defeat of the Tyrrish Rebellion despite nearly dying during the Battle of Aretia when his only other previous rider burnt out–prior to Violet's first year at Basgiath War College, Tairn had refused to bond in the five years between Naolin's death and Violet's Threshing.
Tairn's physical prowess is noticeably greater than most dragons at Basgiath. Despite only recently returning into active service since the Tyrrish Rebellion, he's incredibly fast when flying and his large size intimidates most riders and dragons. Because of his rare color and breed of tail, Tairn is also considered one of the deadliest dragons in Navarre.

Her scales are shimmering gold under the sun, but she is missing her dragon claws and is just about large enough in size to stand half-a-foot taller than Violet. She is cheerful and bright, and under the guidance of Tairn and Sgaeyl. She is affectionate towards Violet, caring deeply about her.
According to Tairn, Andarna's parents passed before she hatched. She is looked after by Tairn and Sgaeyl, as well as other dragon elders.

His rebellion relic curves in dips and swirls from his left wrist to his collarbone, while the relic from his dragon stretches across his chest, the tail coiling around his waist to his lower back. Like his brother, he is skilled in all weaponry, preferring daggers and crossbows.
Raelon is described as lean, with a strong jaw and high cheekbones. Little braids keep his long, silver hair out of his face during combat. His eyes are pale blue, and he smells of cinnamon, and pine.
He is shown to be very affectionate with his siblings and Xaden, and will defend them at any cost. Out of all the Marked Ones, he is "the most docile"; the slowest to anger. But when riled up, Raelon is ruthless, "a menace on the mats and in the sky".

His muscled frame is slender but strong, built for agility and swift fighting. Along his scarlet scales are countless scars, both old and new. He is beautifully terrifying, and has a baleful golden gaze.
He has had two other riders before he bonded with Raelon, the second being his grandfather, choosing to bond with Raelon during his Threshing after the pact made between dragons and Marked Ones–to bond direct descendants for more signets, more power against the enemy.
He is merciless in the sky and against his foes, and one of the fastest dragons in active service.

Like her twin, she bruises, dislocates joints, and breaks bones easily, and so she uses metal-clasped cloth wraps to wrap her joints and prevent them from dislocating or tearing. Unlike Violet, all of her long hair is a steely, metallic silver, which she normally wears in a braid. Her skin is pale, and her eyes are a light amber.
Amara has trained all her life to become a rider, and is an expert in steel, mostly daggers. Her combat style mimics Violet's, using her short stature and speed to her advantage. She is resilient, stubborn, and passionate about the things, and people, she loves. She doesn't hesitate to defend her family from any who seek to harm them.

His size is daunting, and his claws long and sharp. He is among the revered battle dragons of his kind, known for out-maneuvering his foes in the sky with his speed and cunning mind.
He had bonded three times before he bonded with Amara during her Threshing, favoring her sharp-wit and inability to relent despite her condition amongst all the other first years at her Presentation.
