Y/n's POV

I've been apart of the 104th Cadet Corps for about 2 months now. I've grown close to Connie and Jean. They've become some of my closest friends. Sasha, well, she's Sasha. I love her to death

Currently, we were getting paired for hand-to-hand combat. Me and Marco had gotten paired

"I don't know if I feel comfortable doing this" Marco said

"What's wrong?" I asked him. He smiled at me nervously

"I can't fight you" He said lowering his head in shame. I walked over to him and put my hand on his shoulder

"Sure you can" I said. He shook his head

"My mother told me to never lay my hands on woman. I couldn't possibly do that" Marco said

"Marco, come on. It's okay. It'll be fine" I said. Marco looked at me worriedly

"What if I accidentally hurt you? Oh, I would feel so guilty" He said. I chuckled

"You underestimate me. I'm a hunter. I've been hurt by many things bigger than you" I said with a cheeky grin. Marco slightly smiled

"Okay, but if I hurt you, just tell me to stop. I promise I will" Marco said. I smiled

"That's my boy" I said as I got into a fighting stance. Marco had also gotten into a fighting stance. We began to spar. I rushed up to him and went for a punch. He quickly blocked it and went to punch me, though he chickened out which left him open. I quickly kicked the right side of his stomach, catching him off guard. Then I tackled him to the ground. Marco was left completely stunned as I was on top of him

"You're so good at sparring. You have to teach me" Marco said. I smiled

"I'll teach you" I said. Unknown to the two that there were a pair of jealous eyes watching. I helped Marco up

"Good work, Y/n. Marco, seriously, you need to get better at your hand-to-hand combat fast" Shadis said

"Yes, sir!" We both said

It was dinner time now. I was sitting with Sasha, Jean, Marco, and Connie. Though I was a little confused since Connie was glaring at Marco

"Do you have a problem?" Jean asked Connie unamused

"Yeah, I do actually" Connie said annoyed

"Did I do something?" Marco asked confused. Connie glared at him even harder

"Connie, what happened?" I asked. He looks at me and then quickly looks away embarrassed

"Are you gonna eat that?" Sasha asked Connie. Connie handed her his bread before getting up and leaving

"What happened?" I asked

"I'm not sure, I think I did something though" Marco said

"What could you have possibly done to piss off Connie that bad? You're a teddy bear in disguise" Jean said causing me to laugh. Marco rolled his eyes

"I'm not a teddy bear" Marco said

"I'm gonna go check on Connie" I said getting up. I left the mess hall and saw Connie looking out into the distance. I walked up beside him

"Hey" I said

"Hey" He said

"What's going on?" I asked

"I don't want to talk about it" Connie said annoyed

"Did Marco do something?" I asked. Connie nodded

"And what did Marco do?" I asked

"He-" Connie cut himself off and decided not to answer the question. I got the great idea of smacking Connie upside the head. I grinned Evily as I smacked Connie over the head. Connie groaned as he looked at me angrily

"What the fuck?!" He yelled as I began to run

"Catch me if you can!" I yelled

"Oh, you're on!" Connie yelled. I began laughing as I ran. Connie following behind me. I noticed a tree in the distance. I ran towards it. As I approached, I noticed there were apples on the tree. I quickly climbed it as Connie was approaching. Once I got to a safe spot. I sat down and grabbed an apple. I began to eat it. Connie made it to the tree and looked up at me

"Come down here!" He yelled. I grinned at him

"No" I said

"Fine, I'll just climb up" He said as he began to climb. He was a couple feet off the ground when his foot slipped. He landed wrong and fell to the ground. I heard him groan in pain. I looked at him worriedly as he held his ankle. I quickly got down from the tree and looked at Connie

"Are you good?" I asked

"My ankle, it hurts" He said

"I'll go get someone" I said as I began to ran off

"Don't leave me here!" I heard Connie yell

"I'll be right back!" I yelled back. I ran to the boys dorm

Maybe Reiner can help me

When I arrived, I knocked on the door. The door opened and it was Bertholdt

"Hey, Y/n.. what are you doing here?" He asked

"Do you know where Reiner is?" I asked

"Im right here" Reiner said approaching the door from the inside

"You gotta come quick. Connie sprained his ankle. I need help carrying him to the infirmary" I said looking at Reiner. Reiner sighed

"Lead me to him" He said. I brought Reiner to where Connie was

"Connie, I brought help" I said

"You left me!" Connie yelled

"Relax buddy" Reiner said as he threw Connie over his shoulder

"My ankle! Ow!" Connie complained

"Drama queen, much?" Reiner asked

"Shut the fuck up, iron chest" Connie said causing Reiner to laugh

"You're jealous I've got big boobs, huh?" Reiner asked

"Huh?!" Connie asked completely baffled. I began laughing as we all walked towards the infirmary. Eventually we made it. Reiner had placed Connie on the bed

"I'm leaving" Reiner said

"Thanks for the help. I owe you one" I said. Reiner stopped before leaving

"I'll remember that" He said before leaving. I sat down next to Connie

"Imagine being stuck in the infirmary" I said

"It's your fault, you're the one who made me climb the tree" He said

"I didn't make you climb the tree, you chose to climb the tree" I said

"Either way, I win" He said. I looked at him confused

"What?" I asked. Connie touched my shoulder

"Tag, you're it" He said
