This takes place before The Untold Prophecy , when he was kit, Koda (aka HareKit) lived with his mother Leah (aka WiseHeart)

The drops kept falling, and the storm was roaring, in addition to the wind that was blowing endlessly. All of these in a single night, despite that the new- leaf season, had indeed arrived.
A brown she-cat was passing by, with a little kit in her mouth. She was panting so hard, that she was able to give up, but did not

The mother finally managed to find a large den, once she entered in, she put the brown kit down.
-Mom, where are we? He asked in a tiny tone"
-I'm not really sure, but I know that we're safe and sound here"

-Will we ever see our house-folks again?"

His mother sighed, before replying
-I don't think we'll ever see them again Koda, the fire probably got them. Good thing that we were outside.

Koda nodded, atleast his mother was still here with him.

When Leah woke up, it was already dawn. Her kit was sleeping against her fur. Suddenly, a strange smell came to her nostrils, but was accompanied by a familiar one. The queen got up, and let her head out of the den. Three cats were marking their territory and another one, who was a black tom was giving orders. The stray she cat looked at him attentively until she finally recognized her mate
-LargePounce! Oh, I'm so happy to see you!

The black tom turned around when he heard the she cat's voice
-Leah! [He exclaimed] What are you doing over there? Aren't you with your two- legs?

«LargePounce, what's going on here?»
«Is everything okay? And who's that?»

LargePounce and Leah turned their gaze on a white and tortoiseshell she, and a cream tom with white paws. The black warrior let out a sigh, then confessed to his friends.
«BristleTail, CloudFoot, this is my mate Leah, a kittypet»

BristleTail hissed at the brown female
«A kittypet you say ? You're telling me that a kittypet is your mate?»

- I'm not a kittypet anymore actually, I'm a stray- cat now» Leah retorted

- Kittypet, stray-cat or rogue whatever! [CloudFoot added, then gazed LargePounce] She shouldn't be your mate, you know that you're breaking the warrior code right?»

« I do, but she still did not tell us why she left her two-legs»

- Who would ever want to know what happened to them?» BristleTail sighed, rolling her blue eyes.

- I do.

LargePounce turned his gaze back at his mate, and waited for a response.
- A fire appeared inside the house, before being visible from the outside aswell. Luckily, me and Koda weren't inside, but about our house-folks, I don't think they could make it.

«Who's Koda?»[BristleTail meowed, a suspicious look in her eyes, while CloudFoot was waging his tail]

«Koda is our son.» LargePounce explained.

- I don't see why I should be surprised. BristleTail sniffed

CloudFoot blinked
- So, what are we gonna do now? We probably can't take them to the camp.

- And why so? [LargePounce] growled, placing in front of Leah. I won't give up on my son or my mate, not after what happened yesterday.

- Maybe, but how do you think ArrowStar will react? They won't be able to fight, or hunt for themselves.

LargePounce looked at the cream tom menacingly
- Ever heard of the word "learning?" and as far I know, we all never knew how to hunt or fight at first, but we managed to learn. I don't see why a kittypet, a stray cat or a rogue, would not be able to do these.

Those words were enough to keep the two cats silent. LargePounce waited for Leah to get Hare, and the felines then went to the BreezeClan's camp

When they arrived, all the gazes turned to the new comes. Cats were whispering inaudible words, even the elders and the kits seemed to be concerned
ArrowStar was resting inside his den, and as soon as he smelled LargePounce and the others, he got out, gazing at Leah and Hare.

- Who are they? The Reddish tom asked to the patrol

- They are LargePounce's so called family members.» BristleTail meowed in agacement

ArrowStar blinked before landing his attention on the black tom

- Is that true? He questioned him in a calm tone

LargePounce looked at the stray cats, then looked at ArrowStar again and nodded

- Yes, this is my mate Leah and our son, Koda.

Koda looked up at the BreezeClan's leader. He couldn't tell if ArrowStar was mad, or just disappointed in his father's actions. But, LargePounce didn't really do anything wrong atleast, right?

- And what brings those two here today? ArrowStar asked

- A fire emerged inside their home, and now they don't have anywhere to go.

- I see, [said ArrowStar] They can stay here, as long as they accept their new names. I'll make an announcement

The leader then climbed to the huge rock

« May all the swift cats gather to hear the news»
He meowed, and all warriors and apprentices, gathered in front of the rock. Koda looked at each of them, they were so many! It'll probably take a long time to remember all the names.
A brown tom with green eyes jumped on a rock near ArrowStar's. Koda guessed that he probably was the second in command.

- As you all noticed, we have two new comers in our camp. Leah had to leave her home, in order to protect her kit, after a fire emerged inside.
[He paused, then continued again]
- I decided to welcome them, as new BreezeClans members.

The felines hissed, and some of them were whispering to each other again. Some of them actually stayed silent as they knew they couldn't change ArrowStar's mind. Koda wrinkled his ears, and made himself very small in the crowd, he was shaking. Looks like these cats did not like him or his mother at all.

- Now, I'd like to give our new members their new names. Leah, it was very brave and wise of you, thinking about your kit's life, I'm sure that LargePounce would approve the name I've chosen for you.[ArrowStar meowed] From now on, you'll be named WiseHeart.

Their was silent in the crowd, before LargePounce started to yell "WiseHeart! WiseHeart !" Everyone else then cheered in turn. Once it was calm again, ArrowStar put his gaze on the brown kit.

- Hey little one, what's the last thing you ate?

"𝓦𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓭 𝓸𝓯 𝓺𝓾𝓮𝓼𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓲𝓼 𝓽𝓱𝓪𝓽? 𝓣𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓼𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓭𝓼 𝓼𝓸 𝓼𝓽𝓾𝓹𝓲𝓭" Koda thought, and replied
« An hare, I think»

ArrowStar nodded

- Then from now on, until you become an apprentice, you'll be known as Harekit

"HareKit! Harekit !" Everyone cheered again, and the brown tom felt so proud.

He was a BreezeClan cat now,
He wasn't "Koda" anymore. He was HareKit
