Winter Steele had just arrived at the Georgia State University dorm facilities. She was excited as she pulled her suitcases out of her car. The only issue was, she wasn't exactly sure where she was supposed to go from there. She closed the trunk of her car and then locked her car. She began to roll her suitcases around, as she tried to figure out which dorm was hers. She looked around to see if she could find anyone to maybe give her directions. Luckily, she had spot a man with brown hair walking towards his car. She began heading in his direction as he opened the back door on the left side of his car. He pulled out a box and then shut the door. He began walking back to one of the buildings which housed many dorms

"Um, sir, can you help me?" Winter had asked the man. The man seemed startled by her voice as he turned around

"Are you talking to me?" He asked

"You're the only one here" Winter had responded which made the man look away embarrassed

"Um, yeah.. What can I help you with?" He asked her

"Um, I'm having issues finding my dorm room. Could you uh, help me find it?" Winter asked him

"Yeah, sure. What's your room number?" He asked

"317" She responded

"Okay, so um.. if you go left over there, that building houses 280-320" The man said

"Great, thank you" Winter said as she smiled at him. He gave her a nervous smile back

"No problem" He said. Winter began walking in that direction when she remembered something. She stopped in her tracks and turned. She watched the man continue on his path

"God, I'm sorry to bother you, but I actually have a really bad sense of direction" Winter told him. He stopped and looked at her

"Let me go put this box up in my dorm, and I'll walk you there" The man said

"Thank you, again" She said

"It's no problem" He said with the cutest smile. He then walking into one of the nearby buildings. Winter waited for him to return, and he did so, about five minutes later. He walked over to her

"Sorry if I made you wait, my, uh, roommate was very chatty.. couldn't escape the conversation" He said, which made Winter chuckle

"At least you know your roommate is friendly" She said

"That is true. So, um.. why don't I go ahead and lead you" He told her

"Great, oh, my name is Winter Steele by the way" She told him as he led her to her dorm room

"Sam Murray" He said

"Are you from here?" Winter asked as the got close to the building. The sound of her suitcases rolling along the pavement was quite loud

"Born and raised, but you're not from here, are you?" He asked her

"How'd you know?" She asked

"Your accent. It's not from here" He told her

"Well, I am from Lubbock, Texas, so.." Winter told him

"You came from Texas? What's it like there?" He asked as they entered the building

"It's hot, and humid" She said which made him laugh. They went into the elevator and he hit the 3rd floor button. The doors closed. The elevator began to go up. There was some nice music. Then, the doors opened

"So, how are you so familiar with this place?" Winter asked as they walked out

"My, uh, older brother goes here, gave me the grand tour" Sam said

"Sounds like fun" Winter said with a smile. Then, Sam stopped

"Well, here we are. I hope you enjoy it here in Georgia" He told her. She smiled as he began to walk away

"Wait, can I get your number? I'm not from around here, so.. perhaps you could show me around?" Winter asked with a grin. Sam gave a small smile

"Yeah, um sure.. here's my number" He told her. She quickly put his number in her phone

"This is mine" She said as she showed him her number. He put her number in his phone

"Okay, I won't keep you any longer. Thank you" she said

"It's no problem" He said as he began to walk away. Winter took out her key, and unlocked the door. She opened it and went to walk in when she stopped and stared. Her eyes widened in shock as she just shut the door and re-locked it. She walking in on her roommate and her lover. Very interesting

Sam went into the elevator and pressed the button for the 1st floor. He had a goofy smile on his face as the doors closed. Honestly, he never believed in love at first sight, until about 10 minutes ago. There was something about her that was just different. Maybe, he was just lonely and desperate for any kind of a connection with a woman, but he didn't think it was like that. No, it was just her

But, he knew it wasn't really love, rather he was just attracted to her. I mean, he didn't really know anything about her. Though, he wanted to. The elevator doors opened and he walked outside of them. He left the building and began walking back to his own when he heard someone's suitcases rolling on the pavement from behind him

"God, I feel like I'm bothering you, but are you busy right now?" A voice that belonged to Winter had asked. Once again, Sam was startled to hear her voice. He turned and looked at her. She looked disturbed

"Are you okay?" He asked her

"I just walked in on my roommate and her lover.. so.. mm.. yeah.." She trailed off as she shivered in disgust. Sam had an awkward smile on his face, unsure of how to respond to that

"That's um.. wow.. I.." Sam couldn't even speak

"Anyways, let's forget about that.. Are you busy right now?" She asked him

"No, not really, why?" He asked

"Perhaps you could show me around town since I don't want to go into that dorm room for a while. But, only if you want to. Don't feel pressured or anything" Winter told him. He smiled

"Yeah, sure. Do you have anywhere in specific that you'd like to go?" Sam asked her

"I'm kind of hungry, so maybe we could get some food. I'll pay, don't worry" She said as she pulled out her wallet

"No, I couldn't le-" He was cut off as she crossed her arms

"You don't think I can pay for it or something?" She asked as she raised an eyebrow at him. His face paled as he began sweating

"N-No, I didn't mean it like that at all.. I- I just wouldn't want you to pay or anything, you know you're new around here.." Sam said nervously. Suddenly Winter began to burst out in laughter leaving Sam confused

"What's so funny?" He asked

"The look on your face, I was just kidding with you. I'm sorry, I'm sorry" She said in between laughs. He looked away, and sighed in relief as he felt his face grow hot

"Let me go put my bags in my car. Oh, I'm still paying though" She said

"If you really want to.. But I really can pay" Sam said

"I got it" She said as she unlocked her car. She opened the car door and practically threw her suitcases into her car. She then closed the door and locked her car

"Okay, so, which one is yours?" She asked Sam. Sam walked over to his car and opened driver's door. He got into the vehicle and sat down in the driver's seat

"This one" He said. Winter walked to the other side and got in the passenger seat as Sam closed the door. She closed the door and Sam started the car. Music began playing

"You can play any station you'd like" Sam told her

"This station is fine, this is a good song you know" Winter said as Destiny's Child was playing. Sam began to drive out

"Is there any kind of food you'd like in specific?" Sam asked her

"I could go for some Chinese right now, but if you want something else, we can do that" Winter told him

"No, no, Chinese is good. I know a good place" He said. Suddenly Sam's phone started going off. He grabbed it and looked at the caller ID. It was his older brother, Michael. He answered the call and put the phone up to his ear

"Hello?" Sam asked

"Where the fuck are you? Did you forget we had plans or something?" Michael asked his younger brother

"Oh, shit. I totally forgot about that.. listen, I'm sorry.. Listen, I can't make it.. I've got plans" Sam said

"If you're missing something because of me, we can turn around. I wouldn't want to get in the way of whatever you had planned" Winter told him worriedly

"No, no, you're fine" Sam told her

"Did I hear a girl? Are you with a girl? Oh, my God.. Is it finally happening? After 19 long years, you're finally gonna get some? Dude, I have to tell Dad about this-" Sam cut off his brother

"Will you not talk like that? It's weird" Sam said as he could feel the heat radiating off of his face

"It's only weird if you make it weird, but anyways, I'll let this slide since your with a girl. God, I can't believe this. Is she hot? Like on a scale of 1 to 10, how hot is she?" Michael asked. Sam sighed

"Goodbye, Michael" Sam said

"No wait, just answer my qu-" Sam had hung up. He looked over at Winter who was just staring at him. He couldn't read her expression

"Did you hear any of that?" Sam asked nervously

"No, why?" She asked him

"Good" He said
