“Taeil-ah, have you met Jeon or Sunyoung noona yet?” Hansol buzzed after the teacher had let them converse among themselves.
The brunett shook his head, “I've heard Jeon's name a lot but not Sunyoung's.”
Jinri had an unreadable expression on her face, for a quick second one could describe it as uncomfortable but she changed it before he could confirm his suspicions.
“Jeon unnie is still in China, remember? Her grandmother passed away. ” she halted for a split second, obviously considering whether or not she wanted to continue. “As for Sunyoung unnie… . we haven't heard back from her. I'm pretty sure she's staying with Jieun anyway.”
The youngest shivered at her cold tone. Over the duration of the few days he'd known the other girl she didn't seem to be a cold, nor two faced person, and he didn't want to think of her like that.
Luckily for him, they didn't seem to pick up on his inner turmoil and he was able to switch the conversation. “So, what's this Exodus high I keep hearing about?”
“It's the high school Hansol and I attended. There's maybe three or four in the surrounding areas of SM. Yuta and Hansol were our little sport stars though.” she laughed at his slight embarrassment. Yerim and Amber went to wish high.”
Now her voice was back to the welcoming and gentle tone she usually spoke with. Spooky, his mind helpfully supplied.
“Jeon?”
“Jeonnie didn't come until her first year of college. We met at her mom's hair salon, my mother wanted her hair done and I wanted to go with her. Bumped into her on the way there, and best friends ever since.” She recalled with a happy smile on her face.
“hooked at the hip you mean.” he snickered at the playful shove she gave him. “They met the rest of their little diva crew at school.”
“visionaries.” she corrected.
“right.” he responded, this timing getting Taeil to laugh at their antics.
They ended up questioning Taeil for a couple of minutes too. At least before their conversations drifted to their favorite idol groups at the moment too.
The bell rang not too long after.
Both males shot out their hands to reach for their own individual syllabus, chuckling sheepishly when their hands touched when they did.
“What's your next class?”Taeil asked still averting eye contact with the older boy out of embarrassment.
“I don't have any until twelve thirty I think.“ Hansol answered also averting eye contact with the shorter, though his cheeks were slightly tinted.
“I don't have any for a while, so I'm gonna go visit a good friend of mine.” she smiled, gathering her things to shove them in her bag.
Taeil huffed, a small pout making it's way onto his lips. “I have one more class before I catch a break.”
Jinri just laughed and gave him a pinch on the cheek. “Welcome to college Taeil-ssi.” she teased.
He whined, rubbing his cheek while he folded the syllabus and putting it in his bag. “I gotta get going if I don't wanna get lost. See ya guys around.”
The older two bid their goodbyes to him while he walked out into the hallways.
Now to find his class…. .
At least, after the bathroom.
~
Taeil frowned after looking at his student map. He was still a building away and his class was going to be starting soon. He was kinda starting to regret that bathroom break…
He let out another irritated huff. He was gonna to be late if he didn't break out sprinting, and he really didn't want to. He prefered avoiding anything to do with athleticism.
He decided on walking faster to the point where it was almost running, but not running.
You know for anyone with at least average intelligence - screw that - common sense would've remembered just how many people attending college. People that were twice, maybe even thrice his size that could easily bench press him with a pinky.
Like now, when he failed to see someone's bag and stumbled over it - only to bump into somebody else and trip over another's binder. In an ill attempt to brace himself he ended up pressing too much weight on his ankle; thus twisting it as he landed on the ground.
He let out a small hiss, mouthing a cuss while his hand flew to his right ankle. “Damn it!“ he yelled, “now I'm really gonna be late.”
“I don't think your professor will mind you skipping if you're hurt.”
Taeil snapped his head to the source of the sound and he could feel the heat creeping up his neck, threatening to stain his cheeks.
The person in front of him could be described as nothing less than perfect.
His mouth suddenly felt dry, as he tried to subtly examine the blond in front of him.
His hair was a gorgeous blond and looked feathery, his eyes had to be the most gorgeous shade of brown he'd ever seen; he didn't ever want to look away, his nose was nothing short of being one he wanted to boop, and his lips were pink and shiny and he had the urge to just tug him down and kiss him silly till-
“wow.” is what his brain went with instead, like he was some mindless creep. His cheeks flushed and ugly red when the other's eyebrow just cocked up a little.
Rather than pointing it out and further embarrassing Taeil, he went with the nicest option possible. Truly an angel. “Are you okay? Can you try and stand?”
Taeil, like the brainless fool he was nodded dumbly, staring for a few seconds before it actually registered in his brain.
Flushing deeper he scrambled to get up only for the sharp pain in his ankle to send him tumbling back down. “ow!”
The angel in disguise had immediately dropped to his knees, a worried expression on his face. “Are you okay?!” he panicked, searching for any other injuries.
“I'm okay! Really, my ankle just hurts.”
“I could take you to the nurse?”
“That's not really-” he paused, pursing his lips at the almost pleading expression on the boy’s face. “If it's not a bother.” he settled on..
“It's all good.”
He leaned down in front of Taeil, his back facing him.
“Just loop your arms, and I'll do the rest.”
Taeil did as told, checking that his bag was secure on his shoulders. The blond breathed and lifted them both up, starting off to the office dodging people with ease.
“I'm Sicheng.” The blond-no, Sicheng. Sicheng mumbled.
Taeil gave him a small smile. “Taeil. Moon Taeil.”
Sicheng hummed, before they fell back into a somewhat comfortable silence.
“Are you a foreigner? Your name doesn't sound Korean.”
“I'm from china. ’s why my korean's kinda bad.” he responded sheepishly, ears gaining a red tint to them.
“I think it's pretty good.” Taeil reassured, shooting him another smile.
“I tell him that all the time!” a female voice had suddenly cut in.
The chinese male nearly stumbled, surprising Taeil who let out a squeak.
“Sorry”
The blond then redirected his attention back to the girl in front of them.
“Qian jie, I didn't know you were back..”
She waved her hand, “ I just got back, my mom wanted to see me. But who's your little friend there, chengie?”
“I'm Moon Taeil.”
“Taeil? As in roommates with Amber Taeil?”
The younger nodded, though slightly confused at why she knew who he was rooming with.
“Nice to meet you. I'm Song Qian, or Victoria. I'm your final roommate.”
