~Flashback~

Y/n's POV

We're completing a snowstorm training exercise. We finally arrived a the base of the mountain.

"Guys Christa is missing" Reiner says.

"Christa chose to stick with Daz who was doing poorly" Mikasa says.

"Daz nor Ymir have returned" Reiner says.

"She may be with Thomas' squad" Marco says

"His squad just completed their course, Ymir, Daz, and Christa are no where in sight" Reiner says

"We should go look for them" Eren says. I nod.

"We'll search in the morning" Our instructor says.

"It'll be too late if we hold off a search" I say

"More cadets lives will be risked if we go now" the instructor says. I watch as Eren prepares to go look for them.

"We'll go with" I say looking at Mikasa and Armin.

"We'll help as well" Reiner says as he looks at Bertholdt.

"We'll join too" Marco says as he looks at Connie and Sasha. I hear a loud crash of thunder. We all run outside to investigate.

"Hey! Ymir is dragging Daz through the snow" Sasha says.

~Present Time~

Ymir jumps down and transforms into a titan. We all look in shock. I look over to Reiner and see that he and Bertholdt have looks of pure horror. Ymir accidentally shakes the tower and I almost fell, thankfully Reiner caught me.

"Thanks Reiner" I say. He keeps his grip on my arm. He then begins squeezing it.

"Reiner what are you doing?" I ask. No response.

"Reiner?" I ask. No response.

"Reiner?!" I yell as he squeezes my arm tighter. He still doesn't respond. I quickly slap him and he snaps out of it.

"What happened?" He asks.

"You’re squeezing my arm" I say. He realizes and let's go quickly.

"Sorry... um Christa were you aware of her powers?" Reiner asks

"I didn't know" Christa says.

"Ymir was aware of her powers, unlike Eren" Connie says.

Who's side is Ymir on?

Ymir's fight begins to go downhill and she becomes overpowered. She clutches to the bricks of the tower but let's go after the bricks begin to slip.

She doesn't want the tower to fall, she's protecting us

"STOP BEING SO SELFLESS! IF YOU HAVE TO DESTROY THIS TOWER! DEFEAT THE TITANS!" Christa yells. At this Ymir begins to tear the tower apart, throwing bricks at the titans. The tower begins to collapse. Ymir leaps to the top and motions us to get on. We all get on and she moves us to a safe spot. After we all get off she returns to fight but she's once again overpowered and outnumbered. The titans begin eating Ymir. Christa begins running to Ymir.

"REMEMBER OUR PROMISE!" Christa yells. Christa suddenly stops when she sees a titan reach out for her. Before it could grab her a scout flies by and slices the titan's nape.

"Stand by!" Mikasa says. The titans are overwhelmed as the scouts begin to kill them all off.

~After the Battle~

We're all surrounding Ymir.

"My name is not Christa Lenz... My name is Historia Reiss" Historia says. Ymir becomes unconscious with a smile on her face.

~Later~

We're all on Wall Rose. Ymir is unconscious on a stretcher.

"How is she doing?" Eren asks

"Her right limbs are missing and her internal organs are scrambled" Keiji says. Eren helps Reiner on top of the wall.

"Ymir is not a threat to humanity" Historia says.

"I'm open to allegiance with Ymir, her knowledge would be quite the valuable asset. Also are you from the Reiss family?" Hange asks.

"Yes I am" Historia says. I approach Moblit and Nifa who are watching over Ymir.

"Ymir is in a comatose state, but her wounds are healing" Moblit says. I nod.

"We'll send Ymir back to Trost District for further medical care" Hange says. I nod. I then look over to see Reiner in a distressed state. I jog over and touch his shoulder. He jolts back.

"Hey are you alright?" I ask as I retract my hand.

"I'm fine... no that's a lie" He says. I sit down beside him

"Do you want to talk about it?" I ask.

"This has been my second near death experience since I joined the scouts. The first time was when I went to rescue you... and the second time was well...you know" He says. I look down guilty at the fact he almost died because of me.

"I'm going to die at this rate" Reiner says.

"You and Bertholdt have been away from your hometown for a long time. The stress is understandable." Eren says. Bertholdt becomes oddly enthusiastic.

"We should return home soon!" Bertholdt says. Reiner nods. Me, Eren, and Armin are confused by the sudden turn in the conversation.

"Oh Y/n, Eren can I talk to you guys?" Reiner asks.

"Sure" We both say. He pulls us aside along with Bertholdt.

"5 years ago, me and Bertholdt attacked the walls to wipe out the Eldian race. I'm the Armored Titan and Bertholdt is the Colossal Titan" Reiner says. I look over to Bertholdt who has a confused look on his face.

Oh thank god... Reiner must be sleep Deprived... probably had a dream and thought it was real.

"Our goal was to exterminate humanity, but we won't have to do that if you two come with us" Reiner says. I look at Eren and Bertholdt.

Poor baby... He's talking absolute nonsense.

"Where would you take us?" Eren asks.

"We'll take you to our hometown, if you agree to go with us, the titan crises can be averted" Reiner says.

I'll make sure you get lots of sleep tonight. You are going a little crazy.

~12 Hours Earlier~

We're in Ehrmich District. Hange is explaining the details of Sasha's message to us.

"The files we acquired have information on Annie Leonhart's background. Two other cadets originated from the same region as Annie. Reiner Braun and Bertholdt Hoover" He begins

You guys aren't suggesting..

"Further records revealed that during the 57th Exterior Scouting Mission, both Reiner and Bertholdt possessed false information about Eren's location in the scouting formation. The details claimed Eren was in the right flank when in actuality  he was positioned at the center rear of the formation. Not to mention Bertholdt showed odd behavior when I informed you guys that Y/n had titan like abilities but could not transform into a titan" He continues.

"The two may have passed on their information to Annie" Armin says. I look at him shocked.

How could he say such a thing?

"I doubt that" Eren says.

"This information alone is not enough to confirm my suspicions. So do any of you guys have further information?" Hange says.

"Well Reiner and Bertholdt did say they came from the same hometown but they never really spoke with Annie" Eren says

"Annie often ate alone, but she did have a secret craving for sweets" Sasha says. Mikasa didn't speak and I just stayed silent.

"Y/n, I know you have more information. You're the closest one here to Reiner" Hange says. I sigh.

"I swear they haven't told me anything. Although when we were at the castle. When we found out Ymir was a titan. Reiner and Bertholdt had looks of pure horror on their faces. The rest of us were shocked but nothing like that. But it doesn't mean anything" I say defensively.

"Bertholdt was always quiet while Reiner was like a big brother" Eren says.

"Reiner had a lot of courage when he faced the Female Titan.... It wasn't until after Reiner escaped her grip that she changed directions" Armin says.

"Are you kidding me?!" I ask angrily.

"How did Reiner find out Eren's location?" Hange asks

"I told him.. Reiner must've carved Eren's location on Annie's hand" Armin says.

"Guys? You don't actually think this is true? Reiner and Bertholdt are not titans! Remember Annie had captured me and Reiner saved me!" I say to Armin.

"How do we know you're not one of them?" Jean asks. My eyes widened.

"Don't blame Y/n for this!" Eren says.

"Yeah of course she isn't one of them! She's my sister!" Mikasa yells.

"Yeah it's highly unlikely that she would've been working with them at the time. If she was, Reiner wouldn't have accidentally cut her arm off" Armin says.

"Armin you're making it sound like she's working with them now!" Eren says

"I'm not working with anybody! Reiner and Bertholdt are innocent" I say.

"Until we learn Reiner and Bertholdt's true identities and confront them underground, you are all to act as normal and pretend you never heard about this, and under no circumstances will you mention Annie around them" Hange says

~Present Time~

"Reiner I think you need sleep" Eren says.

"Yeah you look like you haven't slept in days. I think you're confusing your dreams and reality."' I say. Bertholdt agrees.

"Plus if you really were the Armored Titan. Why would you tell us?" Eren asks.

"I'm sorry.. I guess the stress and exhaustion got to me" Reiner says. Eren walks away. I lay his head on my lap.

"I regret these past 3 years. I've been surrounded by idiots. Me and my comrades had once been clueless children. If I had not heard of the others within the walls. I wouldn't have become a half-assed piece of shit." Reiner says.

"What are you talking about?" I ask. He lifts his head up from my lap and removes the sling around his arm. He exposes his wound and it begins to heal.

"I will face the consequences of my actions and stay true to my duty as a warrior" Reiner says.

"Reiner are we really doing this right now?" Bertholdt asks.

"The time has come" Reiner says as he stands up and throws me over his shoulder.

"Reiner what is going on?" I ask. Reiner then goes to capture Eren. Mikasa slices Reiner's arms as he defends himself. She then slices Bertholdt's neck.

"EREN, Y/N! RUN!" Mikasa yells. Reiner then shoves her off the wall.

I can't move...No that's not right... I can move, I have the ability to move... But I'm scared.

The scouts rush over to me and Eren.

"EREN! Y/N! YOU NEED TO ESCAPE!" Armin yells.

Why am I frozen in fear? I'm the top of my class... What's wrong now? Why can't I act?

I'm pulled out of my thoughts as bursts of energy explode atop the wall. The Armored Titan and Colossal Titan appeared.

They were serious...

The Armored Titan grabs Eren with his free hand while the Colossal Titan grabs Ymir. Historia cries out. The Armored Titan descends Wall Rose with both of us in his grip. I then watch as Eren transforms.
