"C'mon Bridgit your're up" Laurence Fizingit distracted Bridgit from her thoughts, "Bridg, Bridg! Get your head out of the clouds and get on stage, the song's about to start." Bridgit sighed and floated a few inches off the ground toward the stage door and took her place, and did what Laurence and the Oracle agreed she always did best, she sang and danced her heart out to cabaret music, at the club known across 53 dimensions called The Providence Coliseum.
Brigit Cipher, the daughter of the notorious Bill Cipher, had been abandoned by him and left to die in dimension 52, when he left, he cackled about the end times and how her existence was doomed from the start, and how she would bring about the end of an entire dimension and how she was better off dead.
Bridgit remembered so clearly everything that had happened after that, wandering for weeks in the wilderness, being nursed back to health by the oracle, and later the arrival of a strange human with a metal plate in his head, although she wasn't so sure about last one it could have very right well been a dream or a hallucination, the Oracle doesn't talk about him much or just outright denies he was even there.
After the performance she went back to her dressing room, the oracle and her pet axolotls greeted her with a smile, numerous licks, and happy chirps, "Dear" the oracle said, "is something bothering you?"
Bridgit scrunched up her face in thought, " well... I was thinking about Bill, did the man that came here want something to do with him? Because if he did I want to help him!" The Oracle looked at Bridgit and smiled, "How about when we get back home I tell you a little story and explain a few things."
The Oracle and Bridgit lived on top of a hill in a pantheon like structure, this was The Temple of the Oracle. Now, the Oracle didn't exactly live in the temple this is where she worked to answer the questions of weary travelers that came to visit her, there was a small marble building in the back that stood as their home.
Bridgit had grown up there and she loved it more than anything, since she had the same abilities as her father she could levitate, shape-shift, and make deals, she used most of these abilities to her heart's content, except for deal-making. Ever since she was small she had seen her father make deals and make promises she knew deep down he would never ever keep, "he made deals with his fingers crossed" she explained to the Oracle or anyone who asked, and that was all that she would say.
After a few minutes passed and Bridgit took a break from stuffing her face with cookies she finally asked, "What was the story you wanted to tell me?" The Oracle looked at her and began "About 13 years ago a man named Stanford Pines came to dimension 52, "HA so you do admit to there being a human here!" Brigit said jumping up triumphantly "I knew I wasn't going crazy!!"
"Sit down and let me finish" the Oracle chided, a sheepish look on her face. Brigit fist pumped and grabbed a victory cookie. "He was looking for help and for answers, he was keeping a journal and was traveling throughout the multi-verse he making plans... to put your father out of commission. This time for good."
He came to me asking if there were a way to defeat Bill I told him there was no way that I knew of, but I did implant a metal plate in his head to protect him from Cipher. But I also told him about you." Bridgit stopped eating and stared blankly at the Oracle, "You told him about me? Why? What do I have to do with any of this?",
"You are the only direct descendant of Bill, you are the only one who can defeat him because you share his blood and magic unless they have a way to disassemble his molecular structure, you're Stanford's only hope." Bridgit put her face in her hands and massaged her temples "So sometime in the future I'll go to his dimension and kill my dad?" she repeated slowly "Yes, but in the process, you may even find love, love with a mortal boy."
"Oh great, you KNEW about this from the start?!" She hopped up angrily "Romance prophecies NEVER END WELL. Rember Cleopatra, yeah, hehehe No THANK YOU!" The Oracle laughed, "you were always so skeptical" Brigit stuck out her tongue.
That night when Brigit went to sleep she kept tossing and turning and thinking about what the Oracle had said, Would she really find love? Would she really kill her father? as she drifted off she seemed to hear faint mocking laughter, but wasn't it all a dream?
