"Well... he sealed his image into the portrait. He sold his soul and put it into his portrait." Emma says.

"So far so good." I say.

"He wouldn't age in real life so he just stayed-" Emma starts.

"Enchantingly beautiful. The painter's name was Basil Hallward." I say.

"Yeah... and he killed him." Emma says.

"You what?" Charming asks.

"Yes. I killed Basil." I say.

"Why?" Snow asks.

"Because he's Dorian Gray. He's a horrible person." Emma says.

"Says the terrible mother." I point out.

Emma hisses.Β

"I'm a monster sure, but don't act like you're much better." I say.

"We are nothing alike." Emma says.

"You were a con artist." I point out.

"You were a murder." Emma says.

"You lied to Henry about his true father." I say.

"You killed Sybil." Emma says.

My heart strains at her mention of my late maiden. I look down.

"I didn't kill her, though I might've." I sigh taking a sip of wine.

"You didn't kill her?" Snow asks.

"I just broke her heart." I sigh.

For the first time in a while, a burst of sadness hits my heart. I had almost forgotten her. I could never forget her. Though, sometimes I pray I could wake up with no memory of her. She was beautiful. Not as beautiful as me, but almost as beautiful.Β

"I'm sorry." Emma draws back.

There's a sickening in my stomach.

"I'm sorry, but I can't do this." I stand up.

I turn. I'm trying not to cry but this really struck a nerve.

"Dorian.... I'm really sorry." Emma says.

"Just leave. Get out." I hiss.

"Alright." Emma stands up.Β
