Maybe if they had more time together. Maybe they were in Nico's cabin he would still be here.

*2 hours before*

It was a warm afternoon at Camp people laughing if you listened hard you could here the roar of the monster.

They lay in the strawberry fields just them nobody else. 

"You know I have something really important I need to ask you" Will told Nico.

"What's up" Nico said 

"Nico I-" Will was cut off by the loudest roar he had ever heard. Annabeth ran towards them yelling. "Hey we need help over here!"

They all ran as fast as they could to the hill. That monster would soon be the thing Nico would hate the most.

The fight was fast and quick, too quick. Nico heard a scream. His scream. Nico ran as fast as he could but it was too late. His boyfriends pulse was scarce as he pulled his body into his arms while singing "You are my sunshine my only sun-"

"Shush Nico listen" Will said, cutting Nico off. was audible to hear him with a stab in his abdomen "Will your dying I can't I can't live without you" He cried 

"Nico I was going to wait for after dinner tonight but i won't be able to do it another time so will you marry me?" Will ask Nico.

"Yes" Nico whispered. 

Will slid on the black band on Nico left ring finger as he whispered "I'll see you again one day Death Boy okay" 

"No no no no no!" Nico screamed as Will died in his arms with his blood on his hands. 

After that day Nico never smiled ,never laughed, nobody calls him Death Boy or Neeks anymore.

Just maybe they did things  differently that day he would be here.
