A HELICOPTER IS SEEN SPEEDING ALONG THE AIR, soaring above the  SHIELD base. Agents, scientists and personnel moving around the base, scrambling from the sudden turn of events.

"All personnel, evacuation order has been confirmed. Proceed to your designated vehicles..."

The sound of the intercom announced.

As the helicopter lands, the door slides open. Two familiar figures seen pushed their way out of the vehicle to reveal Agent Hill and Director Fury.

As they took a few steps forward, they are met by the presence of Agent Coulson. Greeting each other with the same manners of professionalism.

"How bad is it?" Fury asked, eager awaiting judging by the tone.

"That's the problem sir. We don't know."

"Dr Selvig read an energy surge from the tesseract, four hours ago." Coulson explained, making their way through the lower level.

Sounds of loud steps banging on the metal floors.

"NASA didn't authorize Selvig could go Test B".

"He wasn't testing it." Coulson turned to Fury. "He wasn't even in the room. Spontaneous event."

Maria raised an eyebrow.

"So it just turned on by itself?".

"Where are the energy levels now?" Asked Fury, looking over to the man beside him in thought about the frantic going on around him.

"Climbing." Was all Coulson could utter, "When Selvig couldn't shut it down, we ordered evac."

"How long to get everyone out?"

"Campus should be clear by the next half hour."

Fury gave a stern look.

"Do better."

"Sir, evacuation may be futile."

"We should tell them to go back to sleep?" Sarcastically remarked by Fury as they both walked down the long sets of stairs.

"If we cannot control the Tesseract's energy, there may not be minimum safe distance." Maria pointed out but suddenly, their walk came to a brief stop.

Fury turned around, facing his agent,

"I need you to make sure the Phase Two prototypes are shipped out."

Maria quirked an eyebrow.

"Sir, is that really a priority right now?"

"Until such time as the world ends, we will act as though it intends to spin on." Nick responded. Before he could make his way, he turned back to Maria, sighing. "Clear out the tech below, Every piece of Phase Two on a truck and gone."

"Yes sir." Maria replies before pointing at a pair of guards. "With me."

FURY WALKS OVER TO SELVIG, grunts of frustration subconsciously escaping his system. "Talk to me, Doctor!". Selvig's head shoots up, eyes now primarily focused on Nick as he stepped down the small platform.

"Director." He greeted.

"Is there anything we know for certain?"

"Tesseract is misbehaving."

A scientist attempts to point a needle on the cube, causing it to release small amounts of energy. Deflecting the needle away like it was protecting a home.

"Is that supposed to be funny?" Fury questions, showing a tone of annoyance but Selvig shook his head. "No, it's not funny at all. The tesseract is not only active, it's misbehaving."

Fury releases a deep breath.

"I assume you pulled a plug." He suggested but Selvig was quick to deny.

"She's an energy source." Selvig started. "We turn off the power, she turns it back on. If she reaches peak level--"

"We prepared for this Doctor." Nick cutted off. "Harnessing energy from space."

Selvig walks over at his computer before continuing his conversation with Nick. "We don't have the harness. My calculations are far from complete. She's throwing off interference, radiation. Nothing harmful, low levels of gamma radiation."

Nick gritted his teeth.

"Wheres Agent Barton and Agent L/N?"

Selvig scoffed as he looked at Fury. "The Hawk? up in his 'nest' as usual. The Shadow? Well..... The shadows."

Clint and Y/N are seen kneeling on each end of the balcony. Their intense watch, glaring over the room. They kept it that way.

Suddenly both of their comms went off.

"Agents. Report."

A zip-line drops down on each side of the balcony whilst they drop down.

"I gave you this detail so you both could keep a close eye on things." Nick sternly says.

"Well he sees better from a distance." Y/N defended. "It was actually a good idea."

"How so?"

"Well we were able to actually see things for a clear. But.... No one's really come and gone." Y/N says as the three of them take a step on the platform. "No contacts, No IM. If there was any tampering , sir, It was not from this end."

Nick raised an eyebrow at Y/N.

"At this end?"

Y/N nods at Barton, allowing him to explain the whole thing as he inspects the area more.

"Yeah. The Cube is a doorway from the other end of space right? Doors open from both sides."

Suddenly, The Cube starts to spark. Y/N quickly turns his head at the cube. It was releasing sparks earlier, but this was rapid.
It was as if it was even more uncontrollable than it's earlier state.

The Cube sparks more and more which makes it bigger each time. Suddenly, A beam of energy shoots out, opening what seems to be some sort of portal.

Suddenly, it explodes. Blue energy erupting around. It all came to a halt but a figure was forming. It was unclear due to the smoke. Several guards move toward it slowly.

Slowly, the figure starts to get clearer and clearer revealing.... Loki. A menacing grin curling up onto his lips as Y/N, Fury and Barton their eyes are kept at him, confusion rubbing along their face.

Although Fury seems to be in his usual prepared nature.

"Sir, please put down the spear!"

Loki slowly looks at the weapon on his hand. He then shot his eyes up back to Nick before a huge smirk was seen across his face.

And then, Loki fires a stream of blue light from it. In instinct,

Y/N quickly pushes Fury and Barton out of the way.

Guards then start to open fire, but it was to no affect. Loki jumps off the ground before impaling a pair of guards, landing swiftly simultaneously.

More of them open fire.

Loki throws daggers at them, landing on their necks as the blood dripped onto the ground.

He fires a beam of energy at one scientist and then starts going on the defensive side with his spear. A bullet hits the plate on his chest, catching his attention. He fires another beam of energy which Barton quickly dodged,

Y/N however was unaware......

The beam hits him, making him land on his back, knocking the back of his head harshly on the hard floor.

Causing him black out in an instant...

HIS EYES FLUTTER A BIT as his vision starts off blurry. The room was unclear to him but the more he blinked, the more he saw.

With his vision now restored, He had realized that he woke up in his quarters. He slowly got up from his bed, rubbing his eyes, but pressure was felt on his left arm. He turned to see an IV stuck on it.

He quickly removed it from his arm and noticed he woke up shirtless. Suddenly, ounces of adrenaline was rushing through his veins. He got up from his bed, placing a F/C long sleeve on before making his way out of his room.

NICK WALKED UP TO THE TWO MEN which he had recruited.

Dr. Bruce Banner. The scientist

Steve Rogers. The soldier.

Steve walked up to Fury, handing him ten bucks. Nick gladly accepted it, taking it from his hands.

Before Nick could talk to Banner, the sound of rushing footsteps were heard from the distance. Hill, Banner, Rogers, Fury and Romanoff all turned to see Y/N in his F/C long sleeve. His eyes widening at the sight.

Before he could have the chance to speak, he was suddenly pulled away from the environment by Natasha.

As both figures were in a more far away area, Nat crossed her arms glaring at Y/N.

"Talk."

Y/N raised an eyebrow at her, clearly confused. "Sorry?" He questions, tilting his head. He received some usual rolling of eyes from Nat.

'You know, sometimes I don't get what's her problem.'

"You honestly don't know?" Nat frustratingly asks as she sends sharp glares at Y/N. He quickly shakes his head, which makes Nat's mouth twitch in anger. "Then explain why my friend has been compromised. Explain."

Y/N's scrunches a confused look.

"Nat, I honestly don't know ho--"

"Really?" She sarcastically scoffed. "You were there! You just allowed him to be taken! You know everyday I see your face, I just wish-- God-- I wish someone useful was actually--"

"Agent Romanoff, that's enough." A voice said. They both turned to see Nick, eyeing them. "Can you please show Dr. Banner where his laboratory is?"

Nat nodded before turning to Y/N.

"We're not done."

She then walks away, leading Banner which leaves Y/N in a confused state. He rubs his hand on the back of his neck, having a hard time taking everything in.

A pat on the shoulder is what snaps him out of his thoughts.

"Until this very day, I don't know what the fuck is wrong between the two of you..."

Y/N lightly chuckles at Nick.

"You and me both, Director..... You and me both...."
