[Hazy Days]
[Name] is conscious, Ren is concerned
[Name] awoke, vision blurred and a dull beating pain echoed through her chest. Shifting her body slightly, she felt as if she was being hit by a truck but unrelenting [Name] managed to sit herself upright. The room [Name] found herself was rather simplistic looking, few decorations and a fish tank the only things that truly caught her eye, even though a relatively worried Ren was noticeable too. "You really shouldn't be sitting like that it will only make the internal bleeding worse." Ren sighed, hesitating to push her back down pausing to look at her bandaged body before backing away. [Name] held back a pained laugh, wincing as she waved him closer.
"That where the blood supposed to be and we've been through worse. You're being overdramatic Ren I can walk anyway- it'll just hurt-" shakily [Name] stood up, attempted to take a step before her legs collapsed beneath her "a bit- ow..." Ren shook his head before hesitantly guiding her back to the small laid out mattress almost as cover in blood as she was. [Name] was almost surprised as Ren when she felt a hand placed on her shoulder without a hint of pain. [Name] blanched, the two meet eyes a mixture of horror and surprise played across them.
"We need to get you your medication." Ren murmured voice soothing, slowly sitting down next her as [Name] began to panic, running her fingers through her hair paired with heavy breathing. "Is there any way that I could grab it, since getting in there isn't exactly a problem." Folding into herself [Name] could bearly stop herself from crying.
"I- I- I- don't k- k- know" [Name] hiccuped, hair wrapped around fingers, scrunched and knotted. Ren made gentle hushing sounds rubbing her back carefully avoiding her bandages.
"Deep breaths, [Name], deep breaths we can do this," Ren whispered as [Name] squeezed her eyes shut. "Did you leave any in your bag?" [Name] shook her head her breathing finally slowing from hyperventilation to heavy but stable deep breaths.
"What about Tsuyu? I- she brought me here, where is she? I need to explain this to her." Ren sighed, getting up and quickly phasing in and out of the door before moving back and standing next to her.
"She left a few hours ago for class but from what I can gather it's still not done so sit and wait." [Name] glared at him before she finally began to assess herself, her once white tanktop had now been soaked in dried blood and covered in layers of bandages, up to her elbow both arms had also been wrapped only enough to slightly hinder her movements, her sports pants just as thoroughly soaked through in patches around strips of gauze, even her own neck was completely wrapped.
"Oh- I did not expect it to be this bad. I mean we've been through the mausoleum several times and even then..." [Name] trailed off before shaking her head, humming as failing ideas popped in and out of existence as one slowly came to the forefront. With renewed hope, she stared up at Ren with conviction, quickly unwrapping one of the older bandages and attempting to hand them to him.
"What the hell are you-"
"If I'm thinking about this right, these should work. Since y'know you can only not phase through me maybe this could do it!" Ren continued to stare at her in confusion as she began to wrap her bandage precisely around his hand.
"One this is disgusting, two I have no idea what you're talking about, three I think you're delirious from the blood loss." [Name] rolled her eyes continuing her work until she found herself standing next to a ghost with a wrapped bloody hand and a glare demanding her to explain.
"Alright so my thought process is fueled by delirium and leaps in logic but this is what I've got-" Ren gave an exasperated sigh waiting for her to continue her ramble. "So you can't phase through me, which may or may not extend to other things from my body including blood!"
"You have got to be kidding me." [Name] shot him a look as she finally tied it off.
"Just try it out already then we can figure this out," Ren grumbled a fine before heading for the door. With a hollow sigh, he gripped the doorknob and twisted it resulting in a soft click. The two stared at each other in shock, Ren taking it in stride motioned [Name] to stay where she was as he made his way out.
"Since this is working a little too well I need you to stay here, we don't know what might happen to you and this is the best place for you to be for now, so just wait a little longer." With that Ren left, footsteps only she could hear fading away as she slowly got up and made her way to her bag.
----
It took [Name] a good ten minutes for her to be able to walk to the school gates, not counting the fifteen of stumbling around her friend's room in an attempt to change into the regular uniform, but she made it and from what she could tell there had to at least be a good ten minutes left of lunch before she'd end up in a daze of trying to figure out what class she still had to attend before collapsing at the cafe. So to say she was being any way coordinated as she made her ways through the maze-like corridors would be a lie. Without Ren or any of the other ghosts that she could recognise she was stuck in a daze which was quickly ended by her slamming into another student. The two groaned as [Name] rolled off of them, sprawled out as she finally gave up on moving. "Ugh what the fu- [Name]?!" A mess of purple hair caught her eye as she lay on the floor giving him a deep sigh. "What even happened to you. You went MIA yesterday now you show up like this?" Shinso rubbed his temples in annoyance as he looked down at her.
"I had a chat, now I'm here and I want you to help me walk, please." [Name] gave him a half-hearted smile as he reached out a hand.
"Just explain it simply for once please." [Name] groaned as she loosely latched onto his hand.
"I wasn't hurt that badly, all my bleeding is internal. That's where the blood's supposed to be!" Shinso sighed as he began to carefully drag [Name] up her up.
"You ditched Ren, didn't you. That's the only rational explanation for how you even managed to get here." Shinso sighed, keeping an arm on her shoulder to keep her steady, allowing them to slowly make the distance to a classroom before he paused, taking a deep breath and looking at [Name]. "Look, [Name] you're one of the few people I tolerate and I don't want you to keep getting yourself this hurt, so please stopping getting yourself so damaged." [Name] gave him a soft smile as she made a stumbling step of her own.
"I can't make any promise but I can sure try for you Shinso."
