[Coffee to Go]

With [Name] both equally tired and head poundingly in pain she went back to her normal default home replacement, a small coffee shop across from a localized grocery store both of which she frequented far too often. With quickened steps, she raced into the coffee shop with the barista giving her a cheery smile while she finished off the rest of her already started order. Quickly sliding over her money before slinking over to a small booth in the corner next to her personal collection of handpicked books. But much to her chagrin there was someone already taking up her precious spot. With a growl, she approached, her sanity blinded by pain and pent-up aggression, she slammed her hands onto the wooden table startling the occupier. "Why are you in my spot." [Name] hissed. A purple-haired boy looked at her annoyed but was clearly unfazed by her command.

"Why should I, no one else was here and I don't see your name on anything." The boy deadpanned, taking another sip of his coffee with a blank expression. Ren being the ever-present voice of reason phased through her arm in an attempt to grab it.

"[Name], there's no point in this, let's not cause any trouble, grab your coffee and we can go to another booth." He sighed already heading towards a booth closer to the door yet [Name] stayed unmoving, only her gaze moving.

"Shut, shut, shut the fuck up Ren, I have dealt with enough shit today... I need this" The boy stared at her completely confused "Look, I've had a really bad day and my head hurts like hell so if you don't mind leave!" A smile seemed to cross the boy's face as she finally responded to him, while [Name] brought one hand up to her head clutching it as the whispers of the dead began encroaching on her sanity and it definitely wasn't helping with the headache.

"Leave me alone and don't come back please." He smiled, a controlling presence washing over her almost forcing her to leave and two steps away from him the invading voices broke free-flowing throughout her head snapping her out of leaving her to almost collapse against a nearby table. Ren quickly caught her with only enough ability to lean her against a chair.

"OW! Dear god I need my coffee." she winced, stumbling back to her booth and the boy. "Look I give up, can you just get me my coffee from Yuri before my head explodes." She whimpered, the startled boy quickly got up, gave it to her with more than mild concern and with a quick thanks she downed it immediately.

"Are you ok and how did you do that." [Name] gave him a quick thumbs up while her face was still pressed against the table as she gave a muffled sigh.

"Do what, collapse?"

"No- well maybe, but how did you break free from my quirk?" he questioned with confusion growing between the both of them.

"Uhhhh, well I didn't- I don't think I did? Well other than the fact that at least twenty- scratch that thirty voices entered my head screaming about deathhhhhhh. Just the normal." She sighed giving a slight glare to Ren who just shrugged and gave her a look of it's your quirk, not mine. "So you said something about your "control" I would like slightly more explanation than that."

"Well it's my quirk" the boy seemed to grow uncomfortable at the mention of it but continues on. "It's basically mind control, everyone says that it's a villain's quirk but if I can get into U.A. then I-" He seemed to pause to process what [Name] had said just before the question. "Wait did you say about screams of death since that is slightly more concerning then mind control... do you need help?"

"Probably!" She smiled stretching "Well since you came clean, I might as well too, I see dead people." The boy seemed startled by her causality over what she just said.

"... That's your quirk right?" he whispered desperate to hear something to make him think that the girl across from him wasn't insane.

"Yep!"

"Oh thank god."

"So, since we basically know everything about each other why not go back to the first thing we were meant to do, I'm [Name] Kikyo, local weirdo." The boy gave her a questioning look before following in suit.

"Shinso Hitoshi, there's one thing I want to know who's Ren?" [Name]'s face dropped as Ren sat down next to her, whispering It's ok in a basic attempt of comfort.

"He's just... he's just an idiot who won't leave me alone." She coughed changing her disposition quickly "So is it your first time here or?"

"Only my second, I was mainly here since it was on the way to the train station and not that crowded." He sighed, turning his attention to his empty mug next to his small laptop.

"So you mentioned trying to go to U.A., I'm doing the same so maybe we could train or work together before the exam?" [Name] sighed cracking her knuckles and sliding her phone out to give off a hint.

"It's better than nothing, I'll tell you if I think it's a decent idea later." Shinso sighed grabbing his phone out of his bag and passing it to [Name] who eagerly exchanged numbers, for the chance to speak with a living person she was far too excited. As Shinso quickly ordered another coffee of regret.

"So you are telling me you never attempt to use it on yourself?" [Name] shouted gaining the attention of the remaining patrons of the coffee shop.

"No is that really so strange to you? And you told me that you can see dead people AND make them real if you concentrate hard enough." Shinso sighed grabbing his bag as they headed towards the door.

"Fine, I shall agree that my quirk is clearly stranger than yours." [Name] rolled her eyes opening the door as they exited. "See you whenever I guess."

"Nailed it," Ren commented as [Name] punched him in the shoulder.

"And thanks for finally showing up again Ren." She hissed, glaring at Ren as he backed away.

"Yeah see you whenever." Shinso waved before leaving her and the ghost alone, with Ren smirking at now annoyed [Name].

"What!"

"I never knew you could actually have a normal human interaction with someone, I'm proud!" Ren smiled and fell backwards in an attempt to dodge a flying coffee cup.

"I hate you so much."
