" AJ stop -" I saw as AJ snatched the pile of scrolls out of my hands, running out of the room, while Yudhishthir held my hands behind my back.
"Let me go -" I felt him smile and hold a hand to my face....
What?.. Fifteen years of marriage doesn't mean he still doesn't make me say.
"What? " I smiled, hiding my face..

"Alright" I said, settling the scrolls on the desk.
If you're like me and stared at Saag for 5 minutes when she wrote the paragraph for her kids returning.. Because she doesn't know how to write.. Then you're in luck. I am now going to be thorough and tell you what happened... Including what she forgot to write.....
" But Krishn... What -" I asked. My brain was becoming mush and I didn't know if it was because of the war or whatever new drama our friend was up to.
" Mitr. In simple terms, the universe found balance in an alternate way, which took place in Kalyug. Now, to return Sakhi's children to her, we called upon said universe to lend a hand. But since her children won't be present in that one and its existence was only to balance what Ashwatthama did here, it will vanish." He explained simply.
See Saag. Why couldn't you just have written what he meant.... Confusing people.
"But Krishn... What next? " Bheem asked, " We need to make sure Ashwatthama pays for his crimes, survival of the children isn't an excuse for him to attempt to kill children. " He gently placed a hand on Madhu's head.
But before Krishn could stop them, all six of the brothers ran off on the horses, with me and their wives looking at their retreating forms with worry.
" Should we follow them Vadudev? " Sudhuma asked.
" We can but -"
" Me and Subhadra cannot go.. We must look after Uttara..." Sphulingini said, as the two ladies went away.
" Should I come didi? " Mini's voice broke through, which surprised most of us.. Since we didn't even notice when she arrived.
" No Mini.. Stay here... Rest. You've had a long day. Take them with you. " She said, as she tried to send her children away but they held on, " No! No mumma! No! " Abhi exclaimed.
"He'll try and hurt us again.. Please don't send us away! " He shouted, andΒ I could see Saag trying not to breakdown in tears. She didn't want to leave them either.
" I'll take them. Devi and I will be with them. Don't worry." I told her, walking over to the kids, " Come, your mumma has a very important job to do." I said and while Abhi resisted, Madhu simply shook his shoulders, " Look, the sooner you let her go, the sooner she'll be back. Come on Abhi." Steering her brother away.
I looked at Saag, who still looked at loss for words.
" You'll be fine.. So will your husband... Whatever prophecy was there, it came true.. Now relax." I said, pulling her into a hug. Her anger made her skin nearly scorching hot, but her children's love made it a warm comforting hug.
When she left, I sighed, walking back into our room as the children had gotten busy with themselves. Madhu supervised the three boys, Abhi, Rudra and mine and Devi's youngest son, Manik. They sat around, exchanging stories while the sister sat on a bench.
" What is it? " I asked, plopping down next to her and she smiled slightly.
"Nothing mama. Don't worry. " She said.
It was so eerie to me, how much like Saag she looked in these times. Fifteen was a young age, but it doesn't mean she was still a child. I could see Yudhishthir's patience in her eyes and Saag's boldness with her words. She was truly a miracle for the two of them.
" You're hiding things from your mama Guddu. Bad manners. " I said, lightly slapping her shoulder as she giggled softly. Devi looked over to us from across the room and smiled.
" I'm not hiding anything. It's just... I have a few things left to do in Dwarika... And yes, before you ask. I do remember. Don't ask me how. Why or how come. That I am sure only Mama Krishn can answer. " She warned, eyes fiery... See Saag! You've left yourself with me!
" I won't I won't -" I held my hands up in surrender, " But you have to tell me... Why Dwarka? " I asked and she shook her head.
" I promised Mamishree Rukmini I'd find her son. I mean it." Her eyes were sharp.
Find her son... What ?
" Where-wha -" I asked but she refused to elaborate, walking away, " I'll see you later mama. I need to meetΒ Vir before he and Mama Krishn leave.
Well
Seems simple enough doesn't it?
WRONG!
Because stupidly, Ashwatthama thought firing a Brhamastr at a pregnant woman would be so much more interesting than admitting he was wrong.. Then he goes and gets himself cursed...
I.D.I.O.T.
But anyways, I couldn't care less about what happened to him as long as Uttara's child survived.
Which it did to the relief of everyone in the family.
But the hardest part now.. Was returning to court...
Krishn walked behind Yudhishthir and Saag, with the brothers and their wives next to them, while me and Mini walked behind them.
"Krishn? " I asked and he looked at me, as if lost in some future.
" Yes mitr? " He smiled.
" Nothing. I thought you got lost somewhere. " I answered and he laughed.
" I'm everywhere mitr. How can I get lost in myself. " He said. I stared at him for five seconds before I was like.
No. I'm not thinking. Bas ho gaya. (That's it. Done)
Anyways, as we finally reached the palace steps.. We could see the Royal family, as they stood, waiting to... Well, welcome their new King and Queen.
But before that...
" Putr Bheem, won't you come hug me... " Maharaj Dhritarashtr asked.
And it astounded me how easily Bheem actually did go up. Like.
Sir. Bad or not, you killed all of his sons. Do you really think he'll just take you in and not say a word?
But my thoughts proved true, as Krishn gently held Bheem back, pulling over a stone statue. Just as same as Bheem's gait.
Where does he even get the time to do all this?
But as soon as Maharaj pulled the statue into a hug, he made the term bonecrushing hug come true. The statue shattered into a thousand shards of stone and Saag barely managed to cover her children as they fell on top of all of us, her and Devi's fire raging over to burn the stones.
As the dust settled, Maharaj, as if felt all the anger leave his body collapsed with the last piece of the statue, holding on to it's feet.
Bheem rushed over, reassuring him that, yes, he was alive.
But Maharani Gandhari was nowhere to be seen.. And I didn't like that.
^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’
" Is it truly not a good idea to go and look for Maharani.. I feel she must be in mourning for her sons. " I asked as Yudhishthir readjusted the blade at his neck, gently shaving away the rest of the stubble.
" Yes Sagarika. If you go now, I am not sure what she would say. Krishn has gone to bring her. Don't worry. " He sighed, pulling me into a warm hug, pressing a kiss to my forehead.
" We did it... We did so much... " I whispered. He nodded, settling me closer to his heart.
" We did. And I have you, our children and my entire family.. That's all I want. " He mumbled.
" Yes Jijashree We know. But please ask the guards to tell us not to enter-" Mini's voice cut through and I jumped back at such speed I nearly tripped over Madhu's rose sculpture.
" Mini.. I - uh. What -what - what -" I stopped short, watching the others enter the room and smacked my forehead.
" First time it was her sister... It's become her daily routine now. " Yudhishthir mumbled and I glared at him, his hands on my shoulder placating me.
" Bhabhishree... We have been ordered by mata to bring you and Jyeshth back to the sabha... For Jyeshth's Rajyabhishek." Arjun said gently and I nodded.
While we did reach the court, something bugged me.
" Why isn't Krishn back yet? " I asked and a haunting sound filled my ears. The priests who were about to pour water on Yudhishthir stopped, their hands stuck.
" He won't come! What have I done! Hai Mahadev what have I done! " Maharani Gandhari ran in, going to her husband who looked just as shook as he placed a hand on her head.
" What do you mean Gandhari. What happened? " He asked her gently and she cried, tears streamed down her eyes, staining her eye cloth.
" He was there... He asked me to come back and I - I -" She heaved.
" What did you do bhabhishree? " Mahamantri Vidur's voice of reason cut through.
" She cursed him... She cursed him to lose his Dwarika." Sahdev said and immediate chaos broke into the court.
" What? " I murmured and watched Krishn walk in, a soft smile on his face, but it couldn't hide the sorrow that he must have felt, taking a curse like so.
" Krishn! " I said, running over to him and Sphulingini followed. We pulled him into a hug and he laughed.
" You two will crush me. " He said, his words were funny, but they didn't have the humor we searched for.
I stared at him with wide, tearful eyes. " You did so much for me.. Gave me my children, this life.. And I.. I don't know what to do and you got cursed -" I began but he gently held a hand to my mouth.
" Sakhi. What has to happen, will happen. No one can stop Niyati. It's the inevitability of life. Death. Don't worry. Please.. Proceed. " He looked at the priests. But no one was ready to.
" Please all. This is the circle of life. Maharani Gandhari has only been the means to complete Dwarika's circle. It's inevitable. Please.. Focus on the present. A new era dawns. An age of truth, righteousness and love."
^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’^β’
"Sitting here feels uncomfortable. Can't they make the seats more comfortable? " I asked Yudhishthir as we sat on the throne. He looked at me in confusion and laughed softly.
" Sagarika. You're my Samragyi. Do whatever you wish with your throne. "
" But you like it this hard.. " I mumbled and he smiled, holding my hands gently.
" Happy wife. Happy life. " He smirked and just as I began to smack his hand and yell at him in the middle of the court, the priests announced a coronation completed.
" All hail. The Samrat and Samragyi of Hastinapur. "
But all I could see.. Was my home.. My children, my husband.
And when I went back to my room, these scrolls piled along with the ones for the chemical supplies from foreign kingdoms as well as the quality of gold we could trade from other -
" Sagarika.. You'll put our trade into danger. " Yudhishthir's voice made me look up.
He walked out of the room, dressed in his simple white dhoti. The one he wore when we first met.
" How so? " I asked and he smiled, shutting the scrolls and pulling me off the writing desk.
" It's because you'll tell who we trade gold from when and how- "
" How much of a bonehead do you take me to be? " I asked sternly and he gulped.
" I cannot lie. So I will not say, ' not at all my love. I know you're smart'." He mimiced and barely avoided me, running around the room.
I chased him around but he was quicker.
To think even after fighting a war with him I would underestimate his physical strength is something only I can do.
" Caught you." He finally said, holding my hands behind my back, plucking the scroll out.
" And that is how, a man from another time took me to a world which I can call home... His heart.. And his home. " He read out, trailing off as he read the last line on the scroll.
" Now tell me... ' If I say no my love'." But before I could complete the sentence, two voices crashed the room, toppling us both over and Yudhishthir looked at me.
" How old are we Sagarika? " He asked.
" I'm... 34 and you're 36...why ? " I asked and he laughed.
" We could always just send these two away to their kakashree and kakishrees and have a new baby right... A silent one-"
If someone ever asks why the Samrat of Hastinapur slept on the sofa on his first day back into the kingdom.. Well. Now you know why.
" Tell them how you landed here too though. " He said, kissing my head as I lay on his chest.
"NO! "
