57. Reunion 2 - I am Saved!

Now that Saag had had her baby, it felt like a whole different game.

Krishn's words from a month ago when he advised us to travel to this forest and his words that changed the course of all that we are here because of were like a trainwreck to my thoughts.

Mostly because it was occupied with a 'I'm saved' but then I grew sad because the next set of thoughts were ' Saag's in trouble'.

But seeing Gudu, I have never felt more resolved that we'll make it.

Which is why, when Saag finally came out of the room with her baby in her hand, supported by her husband, we knew that there was nothing in the world which could stop those demons now.

" Saag. " I said turning around.

My beloved abd Sulohita both ran to greet their sister.

"Karali! " They shouted, as Bheem's wife, Hidimba, Kali... What was I even supposed to call her smiled at them.

" I'm alright I'm alright. " I heard Saag say as they pulled her into a hug mindful of the child's safety.

"Alright, now that we are all here. First things first. Saag. Why did you run. " I asked and her face grew pale.

"I- uh. " She began hesitating, when mata Kunti acted as her saving grace,
" Because of me putr. I didn't want to return to Hastinapur and if anyone else knew we were alive, well then Hastinapur would demand for their Yuvraj. We didn't want to return to a place full of deceit, where they aimed to harm my family. " She said solemnly, wiping a tear away as Arjun pulled her into a hug.

" It's alright. What I want to know is. Saag, you could have come back to Pragjyotishpur. Why didn't you? "

"To be fair to her, that was my initial plan. " Yudhishthir broke in.

Will anybody let her answer her own questions, saviours. Just because she's had her chd doesn't mean she isn't liable to my questions.. My heart broke when I heard she's dead, she has to pay for that.

"All of you, please. Devi, please tell the others the complete story. Seeing Yudhishthir's face, I'm sure he already knows, but the others don't. Saag and I need to talk alone. " I said standing up.

She seemed to sense my anxiousness and reassured her husband, before gathering her child in her arms.

"Alright. Tell me everything. " I asked and she began to narrate the tale, of how they figured out the house was if lakh, the house was burnt, they escaped, lived in the forests for a few weeks,  Saag found out she was pregnant, they came here, defeated Hidimb, Bheem and Hidimba, we're married and so on.

" I don't care for all this. All I need to know is why you felt the need to hide it from me. " I asked calmly, taming the storm in my mind.

"I couldn't tell anyone! Do you imagine how hard it was for me to accept that I might never see you again? I lived with the guilt for all these months, hoping on a miracle that may cause our paths to cross. Safe to say, Krishn, the ishwar was the only one who could do it. " She cried, tears pooling in her eyes, when Gudu, as if sensing her mother's mood began to cry.

"Oh no. Please, calm down. Shhh! " She said getting up immediately, rocking the child.

"You need to -hold on. " I said, taking her from her mother as I pulled her into my hands, holding her by the torso and one arm on her stomach as it faced the ground.

"Look." I whispered as I swayed the baby, who's cries quietened and she fell asleep soon enough.

"I can't tell you how much I wanted this AJ. I can't even -"

"It's alright. You can compensate later. " I said smiling at her.

"How? " She asked, eager to rest her soul. Stupid Saag, doesn't she know I can't stay mad at her?

"You need to plan out my whe wedding, from the top to the bottom and you must be on my side during the wedding. " I asked and she laughed.

"Alright. Anything to be worthy of your forgiveness. " She whispered.

So, as the good brother that I was, I walked up to her and in a rare moment of brotherly love, pulled her into a hug.

" You don't need to earn my forgiveness unless you betray me. " I said and she smiled.

"Well, that would never happen... Unless Devika has a better offer for me to be on her side! " She said laughing.

I swear, this girl! When did she become a mother!

As we walkied back to the rooms, with AJ holding my daughter, I distantly heard the sounds of Yudhishthir's aggravation.

He's angry? About what? He's angry?

" Absolutely not! My wife has just given birth. She will not be carrying out this task. "

"But Jyeshth -"

"No, Devi Sulohita, I respect you, but not now. Her body needs time to heal and I aim to do that for her. Nothing before three years. " He said with a finality.

"But the monsters are growing restless, you of all people know that! She and the other sisters of mine will fight, before those two monsters aim to take over our world. Dharmraj Yudhishthir, is the need to save your wife so great that you are willing to disregard the safety of so many people on earth, when there will be no earth left for you to be at peace with your family! " She exclaimed in the end.

"What is going on here? " I asked walking in, my husband and to be fair this was the first time I ever saw him angry, it was unusual.

Assuring my heart that my daughter was at peace, I announced, " Arya and I will talk in private for a while, till then please arrange our horses and chariots We'll journey to Pragjyotishpur soon "

Pulling my husband away from the fight, I brought him to our room.

"What is it? " I asked, seating him on the bed and clambering over, with great difficulty.

" Aram se. " (Carefully) He said as he offered his hand over.

" I'm fine. Now what has you this angry? " I asked pulling his hands into my own.

"You have to fight them, Mandik snd Moshtik. Along with all seven of your sisters, this is the true tale. Me and AJ were just mediums to have the two of you, that is Devika and you meet. In this life, Sulohita is your twin sister who was taken away after your birth, remember the photos we saw during Holi? Now, Krishn says that those who beasts can only be defeated by the power of the seven flames, because they asked Mahadev for a boon -"

"Of course they did. " I sighed.

"Yes, well, they asked Mahadev for a boon, that they may not be burnt by each component of nature, specifically, the waves of the sea, the holy fire, the one that dies outx the one that's sparkling, you understand what I mean. " He said.

"But what about the two people who must travel to two different yugs -"

"All a hoax. It's why Ashwatthama was chosen to tell you the story, they knew I couldn't and wouldn't be able to lie, but telling you the truth seemed far more 'quick' as per
Krishn. "

" But that's nonsense, had you told me all this before, I would have agreed anyway-"

"Would you? " He asked staring into my soul as if he knew my answer had been a fib. " You wouldn't abandon your sister. That's why he sent me and you here, while AJ arrived first to, win Devi Devika's heart. All of you must be brought together. What the two idiots failed to consider for  their boon, was that they chose not to be able to be killed by the individual components of the fire, but together you are one, hence you can kill them. " He sighed.

"But all this has no relevance. You won't be fighting right now. " He said sternly and I looked up in confusion.

"What? Why not! "

"Have you seen yourself? You aren't strong enough to fight yet. I want you to heal your body, to become -"

"I pushed a baby out of me! I'd say I'm pretty strong don't you think Yudhishthir. And who are you to take my decisions for me? As I recall, the last time you tried I still, stumped you-"

"The last time your life wasn't on the line! " He shouted. I was blown aback by his outburst.

"I can't loose you Sagarika! I can't. " He cried, putting his head in his hands.

Poor dear, but he had no right to decide for me.

" Yudhishthir, why do you assume I'll leave you! I'm not dying so soon! I won't leave you or our daughter like this! She will know her mother . "

" But -"

"No, listen to me. I have you, I have my sisters, I have my brothers, I have Krishn . I am going to be fine. " I reassured, pulling him into a comforring embrace.

" Sagarika, do not take brash decisions. If you can't recall, let me tell you, the last time you even practiced your power, you fainted. Do you remember that? "

"Which is why I'll take a few months, say 20 till the time Bheem's child -" I slapped my hand back to my mouth.

Why! Why can't I watch my words.

"Bheem's child? " He asked confused.

" Gudu.... She's also their child isn't she? " I said shakily as I was met with his piercing cold stare. In all the times I spent with him, I seemed to have forgotten that he was indeed a warrior and that he had the ability to be cold at the drop of the hat. So used to I was to seeing his soft, love filled side that it was jarring.

"Fine. Hidimba will be having a child soon. But you cannot tell Bheem! Not until she tells him herself. " I sighed, sitting on the bed.

"That's such a wonderful news. You're going to be a Jyeshth mata. " He said.... Me? The child is first related to him!

"And you my dear would be the tajshree. " I said, smiling as he realised.

"Oh! Oh yes. Well -I -"

" Shh. It's alright. But this doesn't leave the -" A plate clanged against the door as mata stood there with one, a few fruits in hand.

"Mata -mata wait! " I shouted  attempting to run when the exhaustion caught up with me and I panted all the way, when my husband conveniently chose to, simply pick me up and walk out.

"Mata! " He shouted.

"Out of my ear! You're-"

"Sorry darling. " He said, smiling slightly as he too ran.

" What? " She finally said, stopping outside the main hall where everyone was gathered.

" Please, we can't tell anyone. Even Bheem can't know till Hidimba tells him herself. " I pleaded as I was put down.

"Tell me what? " Bheem, asked, holding a pile of bananas in his hands.

"Uhh-"

"I-"

"Bhabhishree, Jyeshth won't lie, do you want me to directly ask him?" He asked, squinting his eyes.

"I-well-"

"Bhrata Bheem, your wife is pregnant." Sahdev said, as he exited the hall, walking towards us.

"How would you know! " I asked, while Bheem still reeled with the news.

" I-I can't tell " He said, brisk walking away.

"Hehe. Soo... Happy Father's Day Bheem? " I asked shakily as the rest of us sighed.
