44. Krishn's lies but atleast I get to celebrate my anniversary !
There was one thing that Sahdev said that had been gnawing at my mind since I'd talked to him two days ago.
He said, that Krishn and Ashwatthama told me something, which may not be true. Why? I wouldn't know, I stopped questioning what Krishn says long back. There's no point.
But the thing is, my husband knows. He won't tell me because he was interrupted each time by Ashwatthama. Which makes me wonder how big of a secret it actually is and if it is, then why don't I know?
On a brighter note, ever since Devika has been back, she has been a renewed person. Her snark came back yesterday when AJ tried to explain why he was mad at me and how he hadn't informed me of their wedding.
On the other hand, their return brought bad news too. To say that the news about the monsters being conjoined was not a shocker, would be an overstatement. To be fair, none of us cared enough, they were monsters... Who cares if they are conjoined.
The good news was, that now both my new sisters began to teach me with renewed vigour, excitement and anticipation.
Which is how I found myself running to Yudhishthir to show him my latest achievement. The night had grown and dinner was about to be served.
So I ran towards my room when I heard two voices through it.
" Yes Jyeshth. It is imperative she doesn't know. "
" But why Krishn? It concerns her life."
" Let's just say, that we have a better chance against those two rakshas, if she doesn't know. "
"But. Fine. How's Mini? "
" She's fine Jyeshth. She misses Sagarika daily, but she's healthy and happy. "
" That is wise. It is important that no innocents are sacrificed in this fight. "
" Jyeshth, the one who has to die will always die. The one who has to be sacrificed will be sacrificed. It's the chakr of life. "
They were talking about me. So there is something they hid. It seems, Sahdev, Yudhishthir, Krishn and Ashwatthama all know. Speaking of... Where is he?
So I made my way inside.
" Yudhishthir! " I called, as I skipped into the room.
My husband's face visibly transitioned to worry, before his natural calm demeanour, while Krishn just smiled.
"Come Sakhi, what good tidings have you brought for the happy step in your walk? "
" I'll show you. " I closed my eyes and chanted the mantr in my mind.
As I opened my eyes, I saw, both my hands held two balls of fire, sharp and striking.
" That's so wonderful my dear. I'm proud of you. " Yudhishthir said affectionately, smiling at me.
" Thank you. "
" Wah Sakhi. What if I told you to set your whole self on fire? " He asked genuinely.
" Well, I'll need more practice, but I hope to do it before we leave for Varnavart.
"Uchit hai, come, we'll have food. "

It was fixed. We were travelling to Pushpbhoomi tomorrow.
As we sat in the balcony, talking about our day, I recalled the conversation Yudhishthir and Krishn were having before I entered the room.
" Yudhishthir. Why had Krishn come to the room earlier? " I asked as I lounged, lying against his strong chest on the bed in the balcony.
" I had some questions for him priye. " With a kiss to the forwhead, he said so and that was an indication to not ask more as he wouldn't lie.
"Alright, well, whatever your are keeping as a secret, just tell me in any way I can help you fight those two idiots. Okay? "
" Understood my dear wife. Now we should sleep, we'll leave early in the morning-"
"I haven't packed clothes! " I exclaimed, my stupid brain awakening now.
" Why? "
" I forgot...... " I said, running inside the room while my husband hung his head back in exasperation.
I ran around the room, packing sarees and lehengas. I had become rather adept at wearing them considering we are in this timeline.
Once I put in the brush and a few other necessities, I was finally able to relax. So I sat on the floor, right there.
"What are you doing? " My husband asked, laughing at me.
"Nothing. Help me stand up. " I said, giving him my hand.
This person had other ideas.
He helped me stand and before I could say anything, he pulled me to his chest.
"What are you upto now? We're going away on vacation. " I laughed.
" So? Is it neccessary to express all my love on that day only? Sure, that day should always hold a special meaning in our hearts, filled with unique hapenings meant for that day. But that shouldn't mean I disregard the other days to love you. " He said, pulling me close into a hug.
"Why can't people like you exist in Kaliyug? "
"They might... Why? Plan on running away with one of them? " He asked amused.
"Shut up. Loyalty matters to ne far too much than you can imagine. Alright? I am not joking." I said, staring up at him with serious eyes.
"Alright alright. I understand. " He said, holding his hand close to my heart.

The next morning before we left was the greatest chaos in the history of chaos, even the Greek God, Khaos would wonder what he did here.
All of us were leaving at the same time. Krishn with Balram Dau and Arjun. He only knows why he wanted to take Arjun along....i hope the poor guy doesn't have to keep solving riddles all the way. AJ, Devika and Sulohita were going back to Sivi, then, me and Yudhishthir were leaving for Pushpbhoomi.
" Aayushman Bhav. " Mata blessed us, while others wished us safe travels... Life was good.
So we climbed atop a rath, while I was ushered into a palaki. These are the times I really wish I had my phone. It was incredibly boring sitting in that.
When we used to go for car trips as a family, ma would always tell me not to sleep in the car or not to watch things in the car on the phone... I never understood the appeal of seeing the same mountain fifteen times on my way to Shimla. Call me science minded if you want, or rather, that's a gross generalisation. Call me someone who isn't interested in looking at a mountain fifteen times.
As such, I did the thing most sensible to me. I fell asleep.

I was jolted awake when the palki was rested against the ground.
"Sainik, what's wrong? "
"The Yuvraj has gone to fetch water for the journey Yuvrani. He has asked us to protect you. " Oh. We brought so much water... He had all of it?
" Alright. " I said, reclining against the seat of the palki when I heard a distant shout.
"Aaaah! "
Is it Yudhishthir? Who would be strong enough to defeat such a competent demigod? Thinking it to be a trap, I sat back in, unmoving.
Which is when I heard it again.
This is concerning. But yes, I have read the Ramayan. I will wait.
I waited there for an hour and I did not see anyone return.
"Sainik. Should we go and check? " I asked, now fear crawling into my heart, spreading its web like a spider would.
" Yuvrani, it's not wise fir you to go. "
" But I'll have you. We'll both go. " I said, stepping out and borrowing a spear.
"Come, we'll see what happened. " I lead, as three four guards followed me.

Saag, if you read the Ramayan then you should have waited more? Or should she have?
Tell me in the comments how it was...and do vote
Much love
Radhekrishn ♥
