34. The Yuvrani has left the Palace.
The way I screamed should have broken glass.
Walking into our room, I saw the disarray it was in. All of our things were broken and destroyed, torn apart sheets, broken vases, shattered mirror glass. On the bed, there was a note, in a scrawny handwriting.
Yudhishthir picked it up to read it. His eyes went hard, cold and calculated, all unlike anything I've ever seen in him.
"Take AJ and leave for Pragjyotishpur."
"What? "
He grabbed my shoulders, turning me around to face him. I looked up at him, his eyes were still cold, but were hiding the fear he hid to keep me unworried.
" Take AJ and leave for Pragjyotishpur. Now. You can't be here. " He left my shoulders, running into the closet area to pull out a suitcase of sorts to dump my clothes in.
"But why? Yudhishthir! Why?" I said, wrenching him around.
" For once please listen to me without asking for a reason? You know I will not lie. "
" No. We promised each other. Any problem that knocks on our door will be thrown out by both of us. Why are you not letting me help you? "
" Because I'm scared for you life! You will be safer there than here. I cannot do so many things here. Looking after you! Looking after my brothers, looking after my whole family! I am supposed to look after everyone. You being here -"
" So I am a burden to you here? Why didn't you start with that! I would have left earlier if I knew I was hindering your duties you idiot! It's fine. I'll leave first thing once Holi is over. " I know I am mad, but before anyone comes at me. No I didn't take his words in the wrong. I truly do understand what he means. But if that was the case he should have told me sooner.
"Aree! That's not what I meant! Sagarika! "
" I get what you mean. I am not hurt by your words.. Don't you remember? It's exactly what I did to Mini when you went missing? I understand. I'll meet you soon. I know I will. " I said, embracing him tightly.
"Figure this out and bring me home soon. " I whispered.
" I wouldn't dream of leaving you for this long. " He answered.
I packed my clothes and held Toothless in my hands.
"Bhabhishree? Putri? Where are you going? It's Holi and the Lakshmi is leaving? "
"Mata, you and Dushala, Maharani Gandhari and all the other women here are also Lakshmi ji. I need to go home with my brother. It's Holi. I want to meet my parents for sometime. " I managed to say, wiping any trace of my pain away.
" Alright Putri. But do inform Tajshree and Maharaj before you leave. "
" Ji mata. Pranipat. "
"Bhrata, did you say something to bhabhishree? Why is she leaving in such a hurry? "
" She knows why Sahdev. It's between us. Don't worry, she will be fine. Now she'll definitely be fine. " He said, running to the stables.

"AJ! AJ! We need to get back to Pragjyotishpur. Now! " I said, barging into his room where he lay asleep on the bed.
"AJ! Move! We need to leave. Come on you idiot wake up! "
"Whaizit"
" Abe Kumabhkaran ke bade bhai! Uth ja! We need to leave for Pragjyotishpur. Now! "
(Oh! Elder brother of Kumbhkaran! Wake up! )
" Fine fine. But will you tell me why? "
"I'll tell you on the way. Ready the chariot. "
"Fine fine. At least let me say goodbye to Devika. "
I forgot about her. She needs to leave for Sivi too.
"Theek. Go meet her and ask her to leave too. Now. "
I ran down to the main gates where I readied a chariot for the two of us.
From there, I could see Yudhishthir, jumping on his horse. For a moment he glanced my way and I saw him mouth a goodbye.
AJ came running down and we climbed the chariot to travel to Pragjyotishpur. I'd met with Devika too, before he'd gone, so I was now happy.

The way back was full of bumps in the road and sleep was out of the question. My mind still was struggling to understand, who the person was.
"So? Mind telling me what happened?"
And so I did tell him. I had never seen AJ that mad. His eyes blazed fire. For a moment he looked like fire itself.
" Someone touched you like that? I'll break their face and feed them their own shit and -"
"I get it. But please, calm down. We don't know if it was a man or a woman. "
"I don't care who it is. No one has the right to do that, especially to you. "
"Well, then I shouldn't tell you about the gym. " I muttered.
"What happened at the gym? " His hard eyes bore into my soul.
So I had to tell him.
If I felt his eyes we're blazing before, now they were truly pools of lava.
"I have so much to thank that man for. "
"Who? "
"Your husband. He was there when I couldn't be. I cannot be more happy. Earlier I thought you all were just playing some game. "
"You thought my marriage was a play? "
"Still think so. You may love each other, I'm not denying that. A blind person can see it. But I know you. You wouldn't have agreed to marriage this early if there wasn't a valid reason behind it. "
I chose to rain silent. I love my friend, but he is physically incapable of keeping secrets. He'll spill everything before it's needed and it won't be pretty.
As we stopped by the water, I sat down near the banks of the river while AJ went to get us some water.
I looked up at the night sky. Going back to Pragjyotiahpur reminded me of why I was doing all of this in the first place.

"Yes Senapati ji. I want all the details of who comes to tend to our room, when, why and how. I need to know each and every detail. Send out the spies. "
"Putr Yudhishthir? What seems to be the issue? You've called all the heads of their posts here. What is wrong? " Pitamah asked. He must have noticed my worry. I need to mask it better.
"Panipat pitamah. I can't lie and I won't tell you the truth yet. Please trust me. I can't say anything. "
"Alright. But if you're looking for someone, the easiest way to do it is to set a trap. You've done the incorrect thing by sending Putri Sagarika away. Not because I think that you were wrong in caring for her safety, but because you have now announced to the enemy that she's not here, hence somewhere else entirely. Which means, he'll attack her the moment he can. You now have to set a trap. A bait to catch whoever has ruined your sleep. " He said keeping a comforting hand on my shoulder.
Now, who will tell him. My Sagarika never left Hastinapur at all.....
Returning to our rooms, I saw her, lying on the bed, staring at the ceilings.
"Did they all believe it? "
"They did. For the world, Sagarika and AJ have left for Pragjyotishpur. " I said, hugging her as we readied for bed.
"I knew this was going to be hard, but I never expected this off all things to happen. A snake in our own house? "
"Neither did I. But till we find who's responsibile for all this, we can't trust anyone other than mata and my brothers. "
"I agree. Thank you for letting me stay. " She said, looking up at me. Her eyes were beautiful in the dark and the light. They reflected the love I held for her and the one she held for me. No one in the world can fight us as long as we were together.
" I did promise that we'll solve all our problems together, now didn't I? " I answered, pressing a kiss. To her forehead.

So.. What are they doing?
Why doesnt AJ know he's not taking Saag along. Or does he?
Tell me how it was in the comments and do vote if you liked. I was planning on leaving this one on a cliff hanger too but I think the previous ones were enough for now.
Much love
Radhekrishn ♥
