AJ never responded. It seems he was busy....
It was weird for me now that he had admitted to loving me. It was still unimaginable. A prince. A literal prince seemed to have loved me. He was now more open with his affections. He would rub my head when I would study and help me when I had to cook. He was a fast learner you see, sometimes even having something ready to eat as I came back home tired.
At first I was giddy. It was sweet. I had never felt so weird yet happy before. But then I recalled. He had staked his wife. In the near future.
My heart stopped in its chest. He wouldn't do that again now would he? I could just tell him, right?
" No. You can't. " Said the voice of my dreams.
" Why not Keshav? Why? "
" You can teach him, talk to him, but can never directly mention the events. It will hinder and create flaws in the flow of time. "
" And you bringing him here didn't? " I asked sarcastically.
" Do not play jokes sakhi. This is serious." He said, now sounding truly like he meant business.
" But if I can't tell him, can't I still teach him how it would be wrong? "
" You could, but you can never actually say the truth. "
" Okay. But -" Aree, where did he go? He was here just now.
" Sagarika? " Yudhishthir asked, peeking into the room. He had a mug of milk in his hands. He came to the desk, a hand on my cheek.
" You are working so hard my dear. Take a break. Come walk with me. " He said as I looked up at him.
My conversation, the thoughts I had, the scenes form the tv series, all flashed before my eyes. But then I smiled.
I could try to explain how it was wrong. Couldn't I?

It was infinitely hard to adjust to the way things were here.
They would wake up at the crack of dawn and go down to the practicing ranges to learn and hone their weapon crafts.
It was immensely hard looking at them and being totally left out. I'm a student who writes essays and poems. That's my hand work out. Not pulling the bow string and swinging an axe around.
" Your mitr seems to be a napunsak (eunuch.. Used as an insult of sorts. ) bhrata Bheem. Are you sure he's from Aryavart only? I mean, he doesn't look like a warrior, he doesn't wield any weapons. All he does is write stories and things in his little piece of paper. " Sushasan said, laughing.
" Rajkumaar Sushasan, if you only knew how much effort goes into writing a poem. The heart and soul one must pour into it, the absolute focus a person needs, you wouldn't be laughing. I'm sure you're equally as capable of writing one since you seem to make fun of Rajkumaar Ajatshatru. " A feminine voice said, as it grew closer, I could smell the beautiful jasmine flowers.
I turned around to see one of the strangest sights of my life.
It was Saag, but it wasn't. Saag would dream of dressing up like this every single day, but modern life demands practicality and in her opinion, this wouldn't be practical... But we digress.
The woman who was walking up was more beautiful than I had ever seen and I saw Saag nearly every day. These two shared a face.
She wore a beautiful peacock blue blouse and lehenga, a brilliant purple drape. Her hair was open, highlighting the beautiful golden jewelry around her neck and adorning her ears. Each ruby on her necklace shined with brilliance. A bright red bindi on her forehead brought out her beautiful kajal lined brown eyes. She had lotus-like lips and the sweetest smile adorning them.
She was beautiful.
" Pranipat Rajkumaari Devika. " Arjun said as he walked up to her.
" Pranipat Kumar. Pranipat Rajkumaar Sushasan, Raajkumaar Bheem Raajkumaar Nakul, Raajkumaar Sahdev. " She said, voice like the singing nightangles. I never knew someone could beat Shri Lata Ji's voice, but hers just might.
She finally looked at me and said, " So, you are the poet who's being housed by Hastinapur. Pranipat Raajkumaar Ajatshatru. I am Devika. " She said as she walked up to me.
I would like to say I was unaffected.
I would be lying...
I was entranced. She was an angel walking and not just by her beauty but by her words. No other person had as of yet spoken for me and all of them had been living with me for the past three weeks. They would either brush it off Or stay silent fearing their Yuvraj. It was not a happy feeling. But this stranger. She did. She had my attention at that very moment. She seemed to me as a rather kind woman. "
" Pr-pranipat Raajkumari. " I said, trying to sting together sentences. Stupid AJ. I should be able to speak freely.
" Raajkumaar, will you become my friend? " She asked suddenly. I was shocked. So soon?
" Why yes. I would -I would love it. " I managed to strain out, my voice a few octaves higher. Damn me.
Saag should not know about this. This is pure blackmail material.
She raised her hand in front of her, to offer her friendship. I kept mine in hers with the reluctance of a man entranced.
Her skin was soft, milky soft. Like caramel and milk had a baby. What?
She held my hand as she asked me to stand. I did. She came right near my shoulders. It was quite interesting to see her from here. Her hair, dark with shiny ringlets fell down the side of her face, framing it with care. It felt as if they were a part of her beautiful jewelry as well.
" Shall we walk in the gardens kumar? " She asked yet again. I hadn't noticed she spoke. The smell of the jasmine flowers in her hair was heady.
" Uh yes. " I said, nodding in agreement as the others had varied emotions. The Raajkumaar of Hastinapur, Sushasan looked annoyed that she hadnt paid him any heed.
Arjun, Nakul, Bheem and Sahdev were chuckling, as if they shared an inside joke. Their eyes shining with mischief. Oh well. I was going to be questioned tonight.
So we walked towards the gardens where she walked right by my side. I didn't mind nor care, but the first question that came out of her mouth was, " You don't mind I'm walking with you Kumar? " She said, eyes calculating as she gauged my answer.
" I never assumed or interpreted it like so Kumari. I am a human and so are you. Brham Dev created Nar and Nari. Narayan and Lakshmi. Mahadev and Adishakti. Who are we to judge which one comes first when even our superiors treat their partners as equals. We may have physiological differences, but our minds can match. " I told her. It was an unusual question, but I assumed it's because she expected me to be aghast at her behaviour. I was simply confused.
She smiled, one which hid a silent victory.
" So Kumar. Which kingdom are you from? "
Okay. Krishn ji did not tell me this. Help? Wherever you are?
" Kumari, my friend is from Pragjyotishpur. He is their youngest son. " Said the leeladhar as he walked up to them.
' I am? I didn't know.' I thought looking at him funny.
" Ye-yes. I am from there yes. " I said, stuttering it out . I can't lie. Okay? It's hard for me to lie.
" Ah. I understand. That's quite an interesting point of view. I would like to discuss some things later Kumar. I take you leave. " She said, looking at me yet again with those eyes. They carried the storms in them. It was a little bit scary.
" And you. You don't read what your friend has written to you? She's told me to inform you to do so. Talk to her mitr. She needs her friend the most right now. " Krishn said as he walked away, twirling his flute.
Saag wants to talk? I better go check it out....

So... Both our boys are just as whipped as the girls, even though the girls aren't showing it yet.
I'm sorry for the late post. Too much mathematics. I love maths but oh my god.
Anyways, share your opinions through votes and comments. I love reading them.
Much love
