   𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀, his grandpa named Chuck, and Sonic.

   Your long ears and hair flap by the wind and speed as you watched the scenery in front of you in awe, seeing it's just a plain desert you got bored easily.

   You groan as you sunk in your seat in boredom. Sonic crosses his arms as he frowns.

"It's gonna take forever to get there! I'd rather just go with Y/n because he can keep up."

   You spaced out and looked at the clouds above, there wasn't that much clouds out but the small ones started changing form which made you more interested in it than the conversation.

   Chuck turns to look at Sonic

"Chill out."

"Is it time?"

"What time?"

   You questioned, Chuck answers back saying it's time so Chris turns to you guys and hands you and Sonic something.

"Put it on!"

   Chris motion a hand to his ear.

"What's this?"

   Both you and Sonic asked in sync, Sonic realized this as small blush pecks his cheeks. While you just stare confusion of the thing.

"An infrared scope, I'm certain that Area 99 is full of infrared motion detectors tagt set off security alarms."

   You gazed the technology then like Sonic you put it on. You struggled a bit because of your big ears but then you were able to put it on.

"If you wear that, you may be able to avoid them."

   Both you and Sonic put a thumbs up, that's when you saw Sonic taking his seatbelt off. You did so too. 

   You jumped off the car and ran ahead as Sonic comes after you.

"See ya later guys!"

"Bye."

   You both said as you ran leaving a trail of dust. Your eyes glance at Sonic who grins of this new adventure and danger of saving Cream and Cheese, you then blank out for a while but almost slowed down.

   Luckily Sonic saw it and ran behind you to pick you up.

"Y/n stop spacing out! We got friends to save remember—Oh."

"Exactly."

   You wrap your arms around him as you narrow your eyes at the building in front. It looked weird and secretive seeing many cameras in angles and fences all around.

   You already got a bad feeling about this. That your grip around Sonic tightens that brought your chest closer to his.

   Sonic's cheeks slightly blushed but then he snapped his mind back to the rescue.

"Sonic, Y/n can you hear me?"

"Yeah!"

"Who are you?"

   You asked confused and blinked in surprised hearing another voice, Chris only chuckles a bit while Sonic sighs with a small smile at your confused self—while finding it adorable too of your eyes.

"It's Chris! Well anyways when you guys get to the main building, go in through a air vent. That should be a blind spot for the security. Got it?"

"Got it!"

   Both you and Sonic said at the same time. You hear mumble from Chris's voice like he's asking someone else, that's when Chuck picks up the communicator.

"Listen to me guys, once you get inside you won't have much time so think quickly and act quickly."

"Thanks for the tip! We're going in."

"We are?"

   That's when your eyes slightly widen by a huge gate, you jump off Sonic and took your own way of jumping in.

   You guys jumped separate ways causing the cameras to look in many different ways, you jump on top of the cameras gracefully from one by one. You see Sonic who's enjoying himself then sees his attention to an air vent entrance, you jump down beside him and you both jumped in at the same time.

   You let out a off as Sonic slammed against you as you both slid down the vent, you guys were in a..... Uhhh pinning position? Y'all are in a tight space so your arms were on the side of the vents while Sonic's arms were beside your head.

   You? You generally don't care as you wince a bit by the pushed by Sonic. Sonic though.... Oh boy his thoughts are racing and his whole face blooms in red and nervousness. 

   He try's to snap out of it by calling Chris.

"W–We're inside the air vent."

"Be careful."

   You guys finally stopped falling and slid, your cheeks pressed against his as you guys stumble down. 

"Oof."

   You said, your ears were on top of Sonic's head as one of his arms were on top of your back. You both blink a bit for a while of silence then his gets up quickly muttering a lot of apologies.

   While you just said in a unexpressive voice.

"It's okay, now let's hurry uhh, blue."

"Right!"

   Sonic sits up quickly with a flush face, while you groan at him of his stupidity. But he quickly backs down feel pain on his spike butt.

"Aughh, it feels like I have skid marks on my butt."

"Don't need to tell me."

   You deadpanned at him, he just sweat drops then looks ahead to see lasers.... In the goddman vents.

   You just felt like giving up already seeing the lasers beaming brightly.

"How's it looking down there guys?"

"Just great."

"Looking nicely."

   Both you and Sonic answered at the same time in a sarcastic tone. That's when Sonic peeks down while you look up the vent thinking of life, yeah.

"This will be a piece of cake!"

"Cake?"

   You said, then Sonic grabs the rails of the vent and opens it up. Sonic dropped down first while you peeked down and jumped down too in time before the camera faced you.

   You stayed against the wall and followed Sonic down the hallway. Your speed was fast enough to catch up with him and avoid the cameras. That's when you both take cover in a space.

"Hehe, I'm too fast for them."

"Yeah yeah blue now let's hurry."

   You mentally groan at his snarkiest. He ignored what you just said.

"Heads up."

   You just grumble then follow him, you questioned too why are you following him again.

   Like last time you guys avoided the cameras. But then you see that spark in Sonic's eyes, that 'risk it all' spark that you can so far remember about him.

   That's when he almost left you behind in the dust, but you ran as well and trailed behind him.

   You spaced for a while that you stumble into him. He was able to put you back in your feet but held you for a while as he looks at the door.

"Y/n do you think your sword can cut through that?"

"Hmm, yeah but it'll make noise."

   You see that Sonic was thinking to himself, as his body shifts into a questioning look. Your body slight touches his that made you to step back in embarrassment.

"Idiot you got too close."

"Huh?"

   He hummed out, your dull eyes just stares at him with a small annoyance expressed on your face.

   That's when you guys perk up seeing the lights go out. Your eyes scans the hallways as well as your hands hovers on your swords handle.

   You wince hearing the alarms booming sounds, your ears were a bit sensitive to sounds but you grip your sword handle and took an opportunity to slash the doors handle.

SLASH

   You did it. You guys made it in and busted Cream and Cheese out—who all smiled in glee seeing you guys.

   You hear the scientist muttering about their escape, that's when you felt a warm small hug around you.

"Y/n! Sonic–"

   Both you and a Sonic shush her quickly as you cover her mouth. But Cheese made more noise of excitement and pounced on Sonic with hugs.

   Sonic laughs at this which you grow a tic mark and chop his head.

"Blue idiot shush!"

"OVER THERE!!"

'Shit...'

   You thought and grab ahold of Cream in a protective hug as well with Cheese.

"Let's go."

"Right!"

   You guys ran, Sonic ran out first while you held Cream and Cheese close to you.

   You guys moved quicker because you were holding Cream and Cheese. 

"Wow, Sonic, Y/n how did you guys shut off all the electricity?"

"I don't remember that..."

"I didn't do it Cream, I guess it just happened."

   That's when Cream gave him a closed eye smile.

"Maybe it happened because you bring good luck everywhere you go Sonic!"

   You just deadpanned at that, good luck. Sonic? Yeah no you don't remember anything that a Sonic brought was good luck! So far...

"You might be right!"

"Or wrong."

   But then you guys perk up seeing the lights back on, you guys stop in a halt seeing the cameras pointing at you guys.

   You glare at them all and brought Cream and Cheese closer to you.

"I shouldn't have said anything, it must be a jinx."

"This isn't your fault."

"Yeah..."

   You said agreeing with Sonic. That's when the cameras arises a small gun machine and then they all warmed up to fire.

"Cream hang on."

"Right."

   You sternly say, you and Sonic ran full speed dodging all lasers, Cream squeals a bit and covers her face in your chest. Cheese did the same too. You didn't mind it at all as you just continuously ran.

"Sonic, Y/n what's going on!? Are you and your friends alright?!"

   Chris answers panicky.

"Not exactly."

"Nope."

   You see Sonic speeding up! 

'What the–What's he doing?'

"Sonic!"

"Run!"

   Sonic yells out and jumps up high to take out a camera.

"Okay."

   You just ran still leaving Cream and Cheese shock. 

"Y/n you can't just leave him!"

"He said run so I'm running."

"But Y/n please!–"

"Ragghhh, fine..."

   You groan and turned around ready to save Sonic's ass even though you don't feel like doing so. But Cream huffed at you with Cheese so you couldn't resist.

   But the you stopped midway and put Cream and Cheese down.

"Both of you run, I'll help... Sonic what it?"

"Yeah!"

"Okay go now."

   They nod and run, you just unleashed your sword out as you jump high as you can go get ready and slash.

'Mist breathing, Fourth Form... Shifting Flow Slash'

(This but you jumped up higher)

   Your sword slashes them in ease as you jump high and strong. Your body moves like wind as you easily slashed the cameras with deadly lasers.

   Sonic perks up feel a hazing feeling and sees you standing there and putting your sword back in place after like chopping up many cameras.

"Wow Y/n good job!"

"Yeah, yeah let's go now–!"

   You were cut off by the sound of clashing metal, you quickly turn to Cream and Cheese to see them running to the closing door.

'SHIT!'

   You grit your teeth with your wide eyes and ran after them, you grabbed them as Sonic goes behind you guys and pushed y'all out.

   You almost stumble forward but you held Cream and Cheese tightly, but then halt seeing more cameras.

'This is really annoying.'

   You thought with a glare at the cameras. Ready to attack again but then suddenly small planes all come out.

"What are those?"

"What are they?"

   Both you and Cream asked. You see Sonic growl a bit and puts a protective arm in front of you and Cream.

   Sonic looks at the planes in shock seeing them go through the cameras.

"I don't understand what's going on?"

"We can't stick around to find out."

   You all ran to the last closing door. You guys all run up stairs avoiding more lasers.

"Sonic, Y/n are we going to make it out?"

"Don't worry, we'll make it!"

"Maybe."

   Your response seemed to make Cream and Cheese slightly gasp at what you said.

"What do you mean 'maybe'!?"

"Y/nnnn."

"What I'm joking we will, okay?"

   You felt like you jinx it. One of the lasers cuts through the stars that caused you and with Cream and Cheese to fall, though you throw them to Sonic who reacts quickly and grabs them, while you gasped of you falling.

"ACK–!?"

   Sonic grabs ahold of your wrist, which your grip tightly. Your dull eyes widens a bit but then widens more seeing another laser strikes the other side!

   Sonic looks back then goes back to you and grabs your other wrist. You've been pulled up and your poor fluff fur was puffed up by the experience.

"Y/n are you okay?!"

   Sonic asked worriedly. You just mumble a yes as your grip on him tightens.

   Sonic just took the answer and picks you guys up and jumps to the other side. Jumping up from ruins of stairs.

   While he was doing that, you look up at him with small glee and admiration of him saving you. You felt enterally grateful for that. That maybe your dull eyes glimmers a bit. 

But then you remember you'll forget about this later...

   You guys stop and were put down, your hands lingers on Sonic's arms as you tremble a bit.

"I hate this."

"Y–Y/n don't say that!"

   Eek Cream, Cheese chirps in agreement. You fixed your ruffled fur, feeling annoyed by all this. You just want to take a nap, bird watching and even cloud gaze—

"Huh?"

"What is it Y/n?"

   You look at the wall and walk towards it.

"I hear something, something familiar..."

   Sonic hums and follows you, putting his ear against it to listen to it out too.

"Sounds like a plane...—"

"The Tornado..."

   Sonic looks at you in shock as you are as well, you remembered something! 

You remembered the name of a specific fox's planes name!

"Wouldn't that mean that—uhmmm, what's his name?"

"Tails!"

   Cream and Cheese cheered. You blink at their reactions. You flinch feeling being picked up, the Sonic grabbed Cream and Cheese.

"Let's bust outta here!!"

"Eh?"

BOOM

   You guys busted out of there, you gripped tightly around Sonic who held you closer to him. Then you guessed you guys made it so you slowly open your eyes.

   Sonic's arm holds your waist close to him so you don't fly off. Sonic looks at Cream and smiles. Who Cream smiles back.

"Hey!"

"Yo."

   You and Sonic greeted, Tails! Tails the yellow fox smiles happily in relief seeing his friends again. He waves at you guys with a open smile.

   You didn't pay attention to the rest of the conversation as you gazed at the sky the the ground of the scenery.

   You felt awe at it, almost like you're seeing it for the first time.... Then you got bored, you huffed and scoot closer to Sonic.

   He jumps by the small movement and looks at you, your fluff hair flow with the wind, your ears flapped with it too, your dull eyes scans the surrounding with curiosity, he wanted to pull you closer to him but you'll just push yourself away and stare at him like he's a creep...

   So he just enjoyed this small moment of you being close to him, he couldn't help but smile at this with small red cheeks.

   𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘆𝗮𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀, when you got off the plane you for real fell down face plant with a drowsy groan.

   You remember you hate heights..... You laid on the wind of the plane to relax.

   But the you jumped by a loud shout from your friends.

"EGGMAN'S HERE TOO!!"

"EH?"

   You grab your sword out tightly and held it up. Your head looks side to side with a small panic, your friends all sweat drop with nervous grins.

"Sorry Y/n!"

"Hmph, idiots."

   You laid down again... Then you took a nap.

"Gee Y/n must be pretty tired."

"He's always been like that."

    Chris raises a brow at this, he looks at Sonic with confusion as Sonic held a serious face with a frown.

"Back in our world, when Y/n come to hangout, he'll have eye bags and more forgotten memories. We always worry for him because he doesn't get enough sleep."

"Is there a reason why?"

   Sonic shrugs.

"He doesn't tell us much, he's more to himself y'know?"

   Tails took over, soon all your friends look at you with worried faces...

   Faces they'll soon have more than once.

I kept writing in class, I'm staying up late to finish this.
