Chapter two: avengers assemble!

After a week of shopping with pepper, I was stocked up on clothes that weren't from outer space. It was nice going places I'd used to go to when I was young, before... everything.

Dad actually brought me down to his lab the day before, showing me his suit and the things he was working on.

"I bet I can blow that up." "I bet you can too- but please don't" he said. I giggled and he showed me his suits, gadgets, and tech. It was all pretty amazing. When I was ten, I could do math like a high schooler, not only because I'm interested in any type of learning, but, I'm the daughter of Tony Stark, which of course has a plus of a high iq.

"Come downstairs with me kid, the avengers are having a cute little meetup." He said, and I followed him through the halls of the tower to a large open room. There I saw people who were all too familiar, the only differences were in the clothing. Standing together was a purple violet colored guy and another girl too, with long wavy hair. (EEEE ITS WANDAAAAA-)

"Is that- oh my god" the other woman said, and I recognized her as...
"...pretty lady...?" I asked cautiously, thinking back to make sure it was really her. She giggled and nodded. I looked at the blonde guy "American Draco Malfoy" "still don't know who that is but sure." He nodded, leaning against the wall. Standing a few feet away, arms crossed, crooked glasses, purple shirt and a nervous look... "anger management issues!!" I said as if I was finding an old friend again. "I- hi-"
I waved to the new girl. "I'm gonna call you... queen b... and you're now boop" I said. "Who is she stark?"
Then dad and I proceeded to explain everything.
"Now I have a question to ask..." I said, looking perplexed.

"Where the heck is super Barbie?!"

After a few weeks, I weaseled my way into the gym and found something to hit. Of course, they all broke afterwards, so I just went outside and obliterated leaves that I found in the grass. I almost blew up the entire block when I saw a spider... but don't tell dad about that.

But despite almost doing that, going outside and walking around the small retention pond became one of my daily routines. It was calming, and there were baby ducks, which added to the long list of reasons why I shouldn't blow anything up.
I knelt by the edge of the water, dropping bread crumbs into the water. The little ducklings came swimming over and pecking the small crumbs out of the water. These ducks made me realize that life was precious, and despite it being a short burst of color, life was worth living.

"Hey dad...?" "Yeah Amy?"

"Can I be an avenger?"

Dad looked down at the donut in his hand for a second then looked back up at me. "Nope" he said, getting up and walking down the hallway. "But I wouldn't get hurt! And I'm really strong and-" he spun around suddenly and I stopped. "I'm not gonna lose you again. I finally got you back, after five years of you gallivanting around being a galactic unicorn or whatever the hell you were doing, and you're trying to put yourself in harms way and guess what? It's not gonna happen" he snapped. The entire hall was silent, and staring at us. He didn't yell, but he wasn't speaking calmly either. It was like he was bottling his anger up. He took a breath "not gonna happen." He said, before continuing down the hall. The agents quickly got back to their duties and I was left standing in the hallway.

I sat in my room, staring out the window. the clouds covered the stars, but I could make out the moon in the mist. I heard the click of the door opening and watched Steve come in. "Your dad called a 'family meeting'" he said, leaning against the door. I followed him out, hands in my pockets. He led me into a room that looked like a waiting room and a living room had a child.

And on the rather large, navy colored couch in the silver room, sat the avengers.
Family meeting, huh?

"Alright I'm gonna make this clean and simple." Dad said, clapping his hands together once before resting his elbows on his knees. "Amelia, impress us; why should you be an avenger?" My eyes widened and I took a breath, relaxing myself. "For one, I'm really strong, with a very unique and deadly power." I said. "Can you show us?" Wanda asked, and before Dad could say "oh no" I blasted a hole in the coffee table. Dad stared at it "... that was a good table..." he mumbled. 'Sorry' I mouthed. Natasha and Wanda clapped, eyes on the melting table. "Continue Amy" dad spoke through gritted teeth.

"Sure. Next, I'm smart. I've been battling aliens and shit for five years, and that adds experience to the list... and I guess the last thing is... I'm badass?" Dad blinked at the last one. "She's badass everyone! That's a free pass into the avengers. Good job kiddo-" "Tony." "Ok fine. Raise your hand if you want my kid to be a part of the boy band"
Wanda, Nat, and Steve all raised their hands. Bruce still looked kind of unnerved by the idea of having a kid on the team, but still, he raised his hand. I looked over at dad, who still wasn't having it, as he looked at all the raised hands he let out a sigh of defeat and raised his hand too. "Yes!" I said, plumbing my fists and hopping up and down.

I was an avenger.
