The Imperfect World

Embry POV/In the mountains

I was in the state of meditation, I was concentrating on controlling the fire.

(What Embry is wearing)

It's been a few days since Redson started to help me learn on controlling the fire.

While meditating, I heard a swift sound of a spear heading towards me, I dodged it.

Then more spears started heading towards me.

I pulled out my sword and ran at them.

I kept slicing and dodging all the spears that was heading towards me, the Samadhi Fire appeared on my hands, I used it on the spears, melting them completely.

After I melted all the spears, I heard someone on the roof.

"You did well, little lotus." Redson said, as he jumped off the roof and picked up the stick that used to be a spear.

"You have been improving greatly, if we can keep up the training then we might have a chance at defeating the LBD." Redson said.

"Really? Well, that's good to hear. Thanks for training me." I said.

"But it seems it's only most of your power." Redson said.

"Most?" I asked.

"Yes, I figure the rest must come from Fuji, but I can't be too sure. Let's head back to the temple to rest. I'm pretty sure you must be hungry." Redson said, my stomach growled.

My face turned red from embarrassment.

"I'm taking that as an answer." Redson chuckled, as he wrapped an arm around my shoulder and we walked on.

Time skip/Back at the temple

I was eating the fruit that Redson had gathered, I didn't realize how hungry I was.

"Once you're done eating and resting, we'll resume the training." Redson said, he noticed my silence.

"Is something wrong?"

"I'm.....just worried." I said.

"About what?"

"What if I can't fully control this power? I already caused harm to everyone already, I don't wanna cause them more harm. I just....I don't wanna lose them because of this power." I said, as I buried my head in my arms.

I felt a hand on my shoulder, I lifted up my head to see Redson.

"You don't need to worry. I believe you'll be able to control the Samadhi Fire, if my parents were here, they'll say the same. But they have succumbed to LBD's power, just like the rest. Lotus, you are our last hope at defeating that beast. I believe in you." Redson said, with a gentle smile.

I smiled at him.

"Thanks for the motivation, Redson. I needed that." I said, as I kissed his cheek.

Redson's face turned pink.

My wisteria mark began to glow, as I was engulfed in a bright light.

"Lotus!" Redson called my name.

When the light finally the light died down, I was shocked.

"Wow....this is new. Why am I barefoot though?" I asked, checking myself out.

I looked and Redson's whole face was red.

"Uh...Redson?"

"Ahem! Sorry for staring." Redson said, as he took a couple of deep breaths to calm himself down.

"Are...are you ready for training now?" He asked.

I looked at my sword and twirled it.

"I'm ready.."

Mk POV

We got to the city, but everything looks much worse than the last time.

Everything and everyone were covered in ice, Nezha, Fuji and I looked ahead and saw two lights of light blue and gold clashing into each other.

'Monkey King is fighting LBD... But I can't tell who's winning.' I thought.

"So, this is the power of LBD. I'd heard tales but have never experienced it firsthand. Even from here, I can feel her wretched aura." Nezha said.

"Her aura is way worse than I imagined...Wukong, please be careful." Fuji said, looking down.

Nezha rubbed her back.

"No kidding, but you should be happy you don't have to hear constant whispers." We jumped and turned around and saw Macaque.

"Macaque! Why are you here?!" I asked.

"Isn't it obvious. I want to beat the living shit out of her and that mayor." Macaque said, as he cracked his knuckles and a fist formed.

Macaque was about to enter the fight, but Fuji put something into Macaque's hands.

"Just look inside, kit." She said.

Macaque looked into the object, and was drawn from whatever was in there.

"Wow! What is that!? Some type of magical tool from the Celestial Realm?!" I asked.

"Uh...actually, it's a Kaleidoscope. I got it from a store from the last time I came here." Nezha said.

"Oh...okay." I said.

"I don't want him to get involved in this at the moment." Fuji said, as she looked at the sky.

With Macaque focused on the kaleidoscope, we turned gazes back to the fight.

"Let's make this quick. Get in, get Monkey King, and regroup with the others." Nezha said, as Fuji nodded.

"Wait! What if...what if Monkey King is better off without us? What if we just get in his way?" I asked.

"I've known Sun Wukong a long time, he's not the loner he pretends to be. He seems important to you, so I can only assume you're equally as important to him. If there's anyone who he needs right now, it's you." Nezha said, as he placed a hand on my shoulder.

"I practically raised Wukong and Macaque, so I know Wukong. He may be a bit difficult, but as you've seen, he cares for you. We'll need all the help we can get to get him, okay?" Fuji said, placing a hand on my back.

Looking up at her...she reminded me so much of Embry in a way, then again, she was his ancestor.

"Get in, get Monkey King, get out." I said.

"That's right."

"We got this."

With that said, we all started making our way to where they are.

After some time, we were now close enough, and I heard someone groaning from behind.

I looked down the crater, and saw the not mayor all beaten up.

"Hey, it's the guy who's definitely probably not actually a real mayor." I said.

Fuji looked up.

"Get down!" She shouted, as a huge block of ice almost hit us, luckily, we managed to dodge it in time.

"Was that Monkey King?" I asked, as I crawled out from the ground, while dragging the not mayor.

Nezha gave a 'are you serious' look, while Fuji gave a 'Why'd you even save him' look.

"Yes, he has LBD on the defensive." Nezha said, looking at where they're fighting.

"Huh?"

I dropped the not mayor to the ground.

"Wait, you two can actually see what's going on?" I asked.

"Yes. Well, pieces of it." Fuji said, as her and Nezha's eyes were following them.

I noticed Nezha is holding onto his spear tightly.

"That speed....Sun Wukong really was pulling his punches with me."

Fuji gave him an odd look.

"Yeah, yeah, that's great. But is he winning?" I asked.

"Maybe we don't need to stop him after all."

"It would appear so, but..." Nezha trailed off and looked up in the sky with worry in my face.

Wukong POV

I was going on all out fighting LBD.

'I'm almost there. Just a few punches and she'll be done for.' I thought to myself, I noticed a crack on her face.

"This body is too weak! I can't stop him!" LBD said, as I charged at her.

She covered herself in a ball of ice to protect herself, but I managed to break through.

She tried to protect herself with a spell circle, but that failed when I kicked her.

She harshly landed on her mech, once I got down to where she was, I charged at her again, and managed to grab her by her throat.

"Stop! Have you forgotten?! Destroy me, and you'll destroy the host! Have you become so desperate to end me that you would sacrifice this flameless, innocent child? Would this be what your mom or your little kitten wanted?" LBD asked, trying to make me hesitate.

When she mentioned Mom and Embry, I did hesitate a bit, but I had no choice.

"You're giving me no choice! All the time you spent locked away, you haven't changed a bit! I'm going to finish you like I should've done a long time ago! I told you. You should've stayed buried." I said, as I raised my fist.

"I've come too far to let you ruin everything again!" LBD yelled.

"WUKONG, LOOK OUT!!"

I heard someone's voice, but before I could look...

I felt something cold enter my body.

I tried my best to resist whatever it is that's entering my body, but I felt myself losing consciousness.

A few tears fell from my eyes, when I saw Fuji, looking at me with fear and terror.

'Mom...Embry...I'm sorry.'

Embry POV

While I was training, I felt a sudden chill down my spine, and I stopped for a moment.

'What is that? I haven't felt that sudden chill for a while. Something happened. Did something happen to Wukong...or Fuji?' I thought.

"Lotus? Is something wrong?" Redson asked.

"Something happened, but I have no idea where or who." I said, hoping none of my dad's or friends were hurt.

'Please be alright, everyone.' I prayed for their safety and continued to train.
