Nobody pov

I was a few days after the battle with DBK. Embry was still slightly on edge, knowing he could still die. He tried not to think bout it, as it was the festival for New Years. He was walking down the street, seeing performers putting on costumes and make-up. He smiled at the people, wishing them good luck.

(What he's wearing)

'Man. This year has been a crazy one. I only hope next year will be better.' He thought.

His phone vibrated in his pocket. He took it out and saw it was Pigsy.

"Embry honey, can you come to the food truck please? I need your help." Pigsy said.

"Hai!" Embry said, and ran to the food truck.

On the way there, he got a text from Mk, saying he was spending New Years with Monkey King. Embry was a bit sad, but understood.

After a bit of running, he saw Mei, trying to wrap up a dumpling...but wasn't doing so well.

"Hai!" He said.

"EMBRY, MY LITTLE BEAN!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!" Mei said, getting out and tackling Embry in a hug. 

Embry giggled and hugged back, tails wagging.

"Hey there, Embry! Happy New Year!" Tang said. Embry smiled at him and Pigsy.

"Embry, can you me with these dumplings?" Pigsy asked. Embry nodded and entered the food truck.

He cracked his knuckles and at super sonic speed, Embry wrapped up the dumplings, including the ones Mei did. He finished in 30 seconds.

"Thank you Embry! You're a life saver!!" Pigsy said, hugging Embry. Embry giggled and hugged back.

Then, a huge mountain of goodies were on top of them...well on top of Pigsy. Embry dodged a second later...but was still caught under them.

"Good share and happy new year!" Sandy said. "I've got enough to go around for everyone!" He said, pulling Embry out of the mountain of goodies. 

"Happy New Year, sweetie!" He said, hugging Embry.

"Hai, hai, hai!" Embry said, throwing his arms in the air.

Sandy handed him a cute plushie, causing Embry to purr and snuggle it.

Later

Embry was walking downtown, admiring the sights and holding his plush close. Then, something spicy hit his nose. He followed the smell and saw Redson, cooking.

'I never knew Redson could cook.' He thought, as he went to them

"Ah!" Embry said.

Redson jumped a bit and was about to yell at the person, before freezing.

"L-L-L-L-L-Lotus!" He said, turning red.

Embry smiled and waved at him, tails wagging.

"Care to try one, son in law?" DBK asked, handing Embry a spicy kabob. Embry nodded and took it.

He carefully bit into it...eyes widened instantly, making Redson worry.

"I-I-Is it good?" He asked.

Embry moaned and placed his hand on his cheek, tails wagging and ears moving slightly. He nodded and took another bite.

"I-Is it...too spicy?" Redson asked. Embry shook his head and gave him a headpat.

Redson turned red at the touch

Redson pov

H-H-H-He...touched me...

He touched me...!

Oh...my...goodness...

'He is so cute! I love him even more now! I can't wait to marry him!' I thought. I noticed father was calling me over.

I excused myself from my lotus and went over to father.

"What is it, father?" I asked.

"I think you made the right choice, choosing him to be your fiancé." He said, smiling a bit.

My head lit on fire after that. I heard Embry scream out in fear.

'I guess he forgot I could do this.' I thought, smiling slightly.

"Don't worry, lotus. I'm fine, remember?" I said, snapping my fingers.

He exhaled in relief and rubbed the back of his head.

I went over to him and took his hand.

"You're so cute, little lotus." I said.

He blushed a bit, before smiling at me.

Nobody pov

DBK was covering his mouth to cover his laughs. Redson's face was red, his hair was on fire. His eyes wide and he was stuttering.

Embry giggled.

"Ahem! H-H-H-Happy New Year, Lotus!!" He said, fixing his glasses. 

"Hai, hai!" Embry said.

Then they heard screaming. They looked and saw people running and screaming. Embry's ears were twitching and moving in different directions. 

Then he heard Redson yell. He looked and saw DBK get taken away, by a web. Embry paled, knowing exactly who was doing this. 

He felt something on his arm and looked.

"AAAAAH!" He screamed. He grabbed the spider, threw it on the ground and stomped on it.

It dropped a small green canister, Redson grabbed it and took Embry's hand.

"We need to get out of here quickly! Hop on, lotus!" Redson said, getting on his bike. 

Embry got on behind him, and they took off.

Embry looked down and sighed.

'So much for happy new year'
