Charlotte is a quiet and generally shy kid. (I say kid but she's 17)
She mostly lurks in the back and people don't notice her very often, she'll say that's how she prefers it, but it's an utter lie.
She'll actually lie quite often, but it's never to try to deceive others or trick them, it's really just to deflect attention from herself.
She hasn't really gotten out of the castle much, and there's a lot in the world she hasn't experienced. She dreams of adventure and let her curiosity run wild. In fact, her dream is to try to find The Kingdom Of Ophelia. She's extremely passionate about it and could talk for hours on the subject alone, the mystery behind it fascinates her.
She's a huge lover of all things scary and supernatural despite her gentle and airy atmosphere. She comes off as simply a shy and reserved servant, but there's a wild child down there that just wants a thrill. She loves anything new and is very passionate.
She spends hours in the palace library whenever she's not working, and actually, her work faulters because of it.
She's never on time and always has her head in the books, but she can't help but dream of being a heroine of her own story, rather than just a dirty old Maid that hides in the shadows.
She wants to be alone, but she's still very lonely, and part of that is because she's not very brave, and not willing to put herself out there just to get hurt.

|Strengths|
Like I've said before, Charlotte is very Passionate and very adventures, she's usually quiet, but if you ask her about something she's interested in she'll babble on and on like a child no matter how much she knows you, and then get really embarrassed about it after.
She's very compassionate and will do small acts of kindness from the shadows for those around her.
Also! She's a GREAT listener and literally, you can talk to her about anything for hours and she'll just sit and listen and support you. She's not going to try to fix your problem or give you some kind of hypocritical advice, she's just going to listen, and be there for you when you need her.

|Weaknesses|
She's very closed off and very afraid of getting hurt, and this makes it hard for anyone to form a relationship of any kind with her.
When she's sad or upset she'll distance herself and revert back into her shell, it's not hard to get her to open up, but if she feels hurt she just retreats far into a place of depression and loneliness.
She loves a good thrill, right? Well, that applies to everything, so it wouldn't be hard to convince her to go off and do something dangerous or just plain stupid.

She loves to dance, not as a legitimate hobby or anything, but she just loves to express herself through every limb of her body like nobody's watching. Anybody who does happen to see her is memorized by the passion and wistful longings behind it. Her dancing speaks for her, and it's one of the rare times she lets the world know that there's a free-spirited girl somewhere in her.

|Thoughts On The Royals Of Evangaline|
She's lived in the castle her whole life, so she knows them all really well.
Although, that doesn't mean she likes them all.
The Princess gets on her nerve like no other, to Charlotte she's like that annoying prima donna sister that just won't go away and it drives her nuts.
As for the second youngest son, she doesn't necessarily dislike him, she's just extremely jealous of him. Because he too is a free spirit, except he gets to go out and do whatever the heck he wants and not care about the consequences, she doesn't have that luxury.
The rest of the Royals she likes plenty.
And actually, she adored the late King and Queen and looked up to them a great deal.

She's never been in a relationship, never had a lover, and has never had very many friends either.
But she has declared The Princess her mortal enemy!

|Backstory|
Charlotte's story starts with her mother and father. They were originally citizens of The Kingdom Of Shannon, her father a servant, and her mother a criminal. They met and fell in love in a place where love was on a dire shortage. Not long after, Charlotte came along.
Now in Shannon, all children are sent away to a better place, to state the obvious, Shannon and its people aren't suitable for children.
But Charlotte's parents didn't want this, they wanted to raise their own child, and have her near them at all times. So they hid her. Hid her in closest, vents, under floorboards, anything they could think of where people couldn't find her. Until eventually Alimon (Charlottes Father) had completed his time serving for the Royal family of Shannon and both parents decided he should take Charlotte with him, and once Charlotte's mother reached her redemption, she'd join them in Evangaline.
Charlotte's mother never joined them.
They waited and waited, for 15 years until finally, they discovered she had died from exhaustion.
When her father immigrated, He decides to do what he knew how to do best and became a servant for the royals. Taking Charlotte to live at the castle with him.
Now, it's 17 years later, and Charlotte's father is old and worn. He can only do so much work, and often needs Charlotte to take care of him. Charlotte tries to work hard and impress the royals in fear they might find her and her father useless and try to kick them out, but we all know that wouldn't happen.

|Thoughts On The Selection|
Honestly, she hates the idea! She doesn't want a zillion strangers coming to live in what she calls home. She doesn't want the noise, the parties, the drama, and she certainly doesn't like the idea of having to call one of them her new queen.
She has a few other reasons, but that's the main one.

She just prays it isn't some Prima Dona wanna be.

Hehe, she's in looovveee with someone she shouldn't be.

She listens to and eavesdrops on a lot of palace secrets. It's easy to overlook someone to quiet so she's never gotten caught. She doesn't do anything with the information though, it just makes her feel like she has a little more control in her life as well as aware.

She has a black kitten named Lucky!
And it's funny because black cats are supposed to be unlucky and she's super into superstitious things.
She carries her around with her everywhere, people just don't know it.
