15.) Tasks
It's 9:30am, Hibiki is the first to wake in the house, so she decides to make breakfast for everyone.
Not too long after, Aizawa wakes up, used to getting up early so much so his body has adjusted to it. This time he luckily managed to sleep in a bit though. He looks around the room confused for a few seconds before remembering he's at Hibiki's penthouse. Hibiki's penthouse. He grunts. One of his students is also here. He stares up at the ceiling for a few seconds before deciding to get up and head to the bathroom. After doing his business, he exits the room and makes his way to the kitchen, finding Hibiki there. "Good morning."
Hibiki twirls around then quickly turns right back around, flushed red. "Ai-Aizawa! You snuck up on me! Wh-Which is weird cause that's honestly impossible! A-Are you gonna put on a sh-shirt?"
He looks down at himself in confusion, completely forgetting he took off his shirt last night because it got so hot in his room. "Oh, sorry. I forgot I took it off. It got so hot in my room last night."
"Ah, sorry! Ren usually likes the temperature hot in his room! It's quirk related. Each room has its own thermostat. I forgot to tell you. That's my fault."
"It's fine. I'll be right back." He heads back to his room.
Hibiki slumps against the counter, her face as red as a tomato. "Holy shit! Damn is he sculpted by the gods or something?!" she whisper yells to herself. She seems to melt to the floor. "Jeez, calm down Hibiki! You've seen plenty of men with bodies like that! What makes him so different?!" She fans her red face, trying to quickly cool herself off.
(She really went 😱😨😳🥴🤤☺️🥵all at once. 😂 but like same.)
"Noizu? Where'd you go?" Aizawa calls out as he returns to the kitchen.
"I'm right here!" she squeaks, standing up quickly.
His brows furrow, looking at her in confusion. "You okay?"
"Fine!"
He gives her an amused look. "You're a terrible liar."
She pouts and twirls back to doing what she was before. "I already made you your coffee." She points to the two mugs on the counter nearby.
He shuffles over to them, obviously knowing which one is his. He chuckles to himself, taking the darker colored one and sipping it. She really knows how to make it just the way he likes. "Thank you. I apologize for that. I usually sleep with clothes on so I must've figured I still had them on."
"It's fine. Anyway, we both need coffee for the night we have ahead of us," she sighs. "You read Nezu's message yet?"
"Didn't even know he sent one," he answers, moving to sit down at the bar.
"We have a meeting tonight with the police and other pros to discuss how they're planning to rescue Bakugo. It's at 7pm."
He takes a large chug of his coffee, lightly slamming it back down on the counter after. "Ugh. The headache of the day has begun."
"I know what you mean. I'm going to the hospital where Yaoyorozu and Midoriya are at in a bit, if you want to join me."
"I should go home, check on the cats, get a shower, and a fresh change of clothes," he says. "I haven't had a shower since the day before we left camp."
"You could've used the bathroom in your room!" Hibiki says. "Jeez, I've been a horrible hostess. I could've even given you some spare clothes to change into."
"I'll remember that for next time." His eyes widen a bit as the last words reach his brain. Why would I say that?
Ren wakes up, tiredly shuffling out of the bed to the bathroom. He heads off to the kitchen after, walking like a little zombie. His eyes are closed as he walks, ending up bumping into Hibiki's legs.
She chuckles, picking up the sleepy child. "Good morning, Ren. You ready to eat?"
He yawns, slumping his head against her shoulder. "Ye...s..."
"Aiz–"
"Yeah, I'll take him," Aizawa says, walking over and taking the child from her arms. He moves back to the seat he was in before, adjusting himself to keep Ren comfortable. Hibiki smiles as she watches him, and he notices. "What?"
"Nothing, just... you'd be a good father one day," she says. "It's nice to see this side of you. Feel like I'm the only one to ever see it."
He chokes on his coffee and coughs at the unexpected compliment. "Noi–" He coughs.
"Ah! Sorry! That was a weird comment, wasn't it?" she asks, hurriedly rushing over and patting his back.
"No, no," he manages to speak through coughs. "Just unexpected."
"Sorry," she apologizes again, moving back to finish breakfast.
The smell of yummy food and Aizawa's hacking, begins to fully awaken Ren. He blinks a few times and yawns, rubbing his eyes. He looks up at Aizawa.
"Hey, kid."
"Hi, Aizawa-san."
"You hungry?"
He perks up. "Yeah!"
"Go wake up your brother and Mashi, so we can all eat breakfast together, okay?" Hibiki says.
"Okay!"
Aizawa sets him on the ground, and Ren races off to the room he was in before.
"UUuuHhhH!" a loud pained shout comes from the room, followed by Ren's giggles.
Ren races out of the room in cackles and into Ojiro's room. Hideki tiredly slumps out of his room with a slight look of annoyance on his face.
"Morning, Hide!"
He huffs, slumping into a seat at the table and laying his head on the table with furrowed brows. "Why are we getting up so early?"
"It's 10."
"Yeah, I like sleeping till 2."
Ojiro comes out, carrying Ren out using his tail.
"So, you three boys will be together for most of today. I'm going to the hospital to check on two students. No, you can't come with. You can visit tomorrow if you want. Aizawa is going to head on home after breakfast, I assume?" Hibiki informs everyone as they eat breakfast.
"Yeah," he nods.
After Hibiki finishes breakfast, she heads back into her room to shower and change. She taps her bracelets, and her suit washes over her as she returns to the living room. "Alright, boys, I don't want to return to the house to find it a complete wreck. I know you are good boys though, so I'm not too worried." She looks to Aizawa. "I'll see you tonight?"
"Huh?"
"Wha?!" Ojiro gasps quietly.
She looks at the eldest male in amusement. "The meeting at the school?"
"Ah." He clears his throat. "Uh, yeah, meet you there."
"Later then." She kisses Ren and the two teens on the cheek. She turns and opens the door to the balcony, closing it behind her. She climbs up to the ledge before jumping off.
Aizawa watches her with a hint of awe. He shakes his head, ridding the naughty thoughts raiding his head, and leaves for the front door. "Ojiro, come lock the door behind me."
Ojiro jerks out of his daze and does as told. What was that look on his face?
Echo glides all the way to the hospital, landing on the roof, and makes her way inside. She listens for Momo and Izuku's heartbeats out of the hundreds. She determines that Izuku is still asleep from his injuries. Momo is sitting up on her bed.
She enters the room to find All Might and Tsukauchi just arriving.
"Ah! Echo! What are you doing here?" All Might bellows.
"Hello, All Might, Tsukauchi," she greets. "I'm here to check on my students."
The three walk in Momo's room. She's in the middle of eating when she looks to the new arrivals. "Ah, senseis! What are you doing here?"
"I came to check on you," Echo says, moving beside her bed. "How are you doing?"
"I woke up a few hours ago. I have a slight headache, but other than that, I feel fine."
"That's good. That should be gone by tomorrow hopefully."
"Yeah."
All Might and Tsukauchi go on to question her about the camp. She informs them of the tracker she put on the Nomu. Echo hears that Todoroki and Kirishima are outside listening in, likely being respectful to not interrupt. Momo creates a tracking device for the tracker and gives it to All Might. The two men then leave after finishing what they needed.
"You boys can come in," Echo calls out to the two teens. "I heard you waiting. Thank you for not interrupting."
Momo looks at the heroine confused before seeing Kirishima and Todoroki walk inside the room. "Todoroki! Kirishima! What are the two of you here for?"
"I couldn't just sit around at home," Kirishima admits, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck. "I felt like I needed to be here."
"Likewise," Todoroki answers. "We went to see Midoriya, but he's still asleep."
"Well," Echo says, standing up. "I should be going. I have paperwork and things to do. I'm glad you're feeling better, Yaoyorozu." She sighs. "This whole dilemma has been so stressful. I didn't get such a great night's sleep last night. It's a nice weight off my shoulders knowing that you're okay. You boys don't give her too hard a time. She's still recovering."
"Yes, ma'am."
She waves goodbye to the three students, returning to the roof to fly to her agency. As she gets closer to the building, the more clear the crimson dot on her agency's roof becomes. The outline and details of red wings are clear as she lands on the roof.
"Hawks? What are you doing here?"
He turns around with a gleeful smile. "Babycakes!" He moves to hug her.
She dodges and scoffs, rolling her eyes. "I told you not to call me that, Keigo."
He pouts. "Come on, beautiful, just go out with me already."
"You're too young for me, Keigo."
"Only by 7 years," he complains.
"I don't date younger than me, and only–"
"3 years or less if they're older than you," he mocks. "I know, I know. You tell me that every time."
"And I'll continue to tell you until you realize that my answer for you is no."
He pouts, crossing his arms. "Come on, just one date?"
"No, besides the only reason you're asking me is because you think I'm pretty."
"Well, I also like your hard to get personality."
She laughs and rolls her eyes. "What are you doing here, Hawks?"
"I ended up teaming up with one of your sidekicks during a villain attack, so I had to come and fill out some paperwork."
"Then why are you still here."
"Well, one, I haven't filled out the paperwork yet. Two, I just got here a few minutes ago. And three, I wanted to see you beautiful!"
"Come on then," Echo says, leading them over to the door to the roof. She scans her hand, and the door opens. "Let's go get some boring work done."
They enter. The building has an installed A.I., the same one in Echo's suit. Everyone in the building is always notified when she enters. Several people in the building come to greet her and welcome her back.
"Wow, you're popular," Hawks jokes.
"Who did you team up with?"
"Ah, she had pretty purple and magenta hair," he answers. "Looked like space. Moved like space."
"Galaxy!" she shouts.
The girl is immediately beside her. "Yes?"
(I just wanted an excuse to show you the picture I colored.)
"You teamed up with Hawks, you know the paperwork needed, take him and go," she says.
"Yes, ma'am!" She looks to Hawks. "This way!" She takes his hand and pulls him away.
"Impressionist."
He sidles up beside her. "Yes?"
"Get all my paperwork together," she sighs. "Make sure Hawks is gone once he's finished with his paperwork. I don't want him lingering. Also, tell the sidekicks that need training, I'll be teaching at 3. We'll train for two hours before I gotta get ready for a meeting at the school."
"Yes, ma'am!" He salutes before scurrying off to fulfill his duties.
She trudges off to her office only to find another annoying hero waiting for her. She sighs. "Endeavor."
"Echo." He turns around from looking out the window.
"Your boyfriend, Hawks, is downstairs if you need him."
He snarls. "He's not my–"
"I know, I'm just messing with you," she rolls her eyes. "I know you're married. If you can even call it that. Now, to what do I owe the annoyance of your presence?"
"You're infuriating as always."
"Glad that I have that kind of impact on you. What do you want?"
"I wanted to know of my son's progress in your class."
"That's seriously why you came here?"
He grunts, closing his eyes. "Not completely."
"Your son is doing well in martial arts. What else did you need?"
"I..." he takes a breath as if to push down his pride. "I came here to ask you to teach me as well."
Her face morphs to shock as she stands frozen for a few seconds. "Did... you seriously just ask me to help you? Who are you and what did you do with Endeavor?"
He huffs, turning. "Nevermind, this was a stupid decision to ask you."
"Yeah, no shit. Why?"
"My quirk isn't always suited to do certain things without causing damage. I... I would like to learn more advanced martial arts techniques. Preferably to learn one on one."
"Yeah, let me make room in my busy schedule just for an asshole like you." She slumps back into her desk chair, kicking her feet up.
His fire seems to get a bit enraged and bigger at the comment as he turns to her. He replies levelheaded but with a hint of anger laced in it. "I get it. I'm am the number 2 after all. I'm likely more busy than you."
She crosses her arms, leaning back in her chair and rolling her eyes for the umpteenth time. "Yeah, it's not like I'm a hero and a teacher or anything."
"What do you want for you to agree?"
"I want you to be a better father and person. The path you're currently on is going to lead to you having a miserable life and send you straight to hell. It doesn't matter if you are a hero. You're a shitty person and an even shittier father. I heard what you did to your family. I know why your son despises you so much. I understand why he didn't use his fire quirk."
He scoffs, crossing his arms to look intimidating. "I–"
She scoffs. "If you're trying to scare me it's not working. My dad is bigger and more threatening than you will ever be, and if that man doesn't scare me, there's no chance you will. Not even Stain scared me. You know, if I wanted to... I could probably easily take the number two spot. You know how easy it would be to beat your ass? So easy. Get out of my building, you flaming piece of garbage. Don't come back until you learn the worth of others."
He huffs and storms out the building.
Impressionist pops his head in the room. "Uh?"
"Come on in," Hibiki sighs, letting her suit around her face down.
"What was that all about?"
"He's pissy that I told him off."
"Oh, well, I got your paperwork," he says.
"Thank you, Impressionist. You're the best assistant/sidekick I've ever had."
He blushes a bit. "Echo-san, I've been your only assistant."
She smiles. "In good reason. Thank you for the work. You can go back and do what you need."
He bows and leaves the room.

After training and taking a shower, she takes off to UA, landing in front of the gates and scaring buff All Might a bit.
"Jeez, you're even soundless when you fly."
"Well, to keep myself in the air, I have to scream at the ground every once in a while to stay elevated. So, not completely quiet."
"Hibi-jeebie," All Might chuckles.
"Don't call her that."
The two turn to see Aizawa.
"No, you can call me that, I don't mind. Aizawa, it's fine."
"If you say so," he replies, walking into the school.
All Might tilts his head, looking between them.
"A old try hard school bully of mine came up with the nickname," Echo explains as they walk into the school, seeing the number one's confused expression. "Aizawa and I encountered her at the market after we happened across each other yesterday."
"Oh, I didn't mean to bully."
She laughs. "I actually really like the name. Honestly, if my identity wasn't a secret, I might have made that my hero name."
"Really?"
"Yup. Where's your cop friend?"
"I believe he's already in the meeting room."
The two enter the larger than usual meeting room, sitting in their assigned spots. She sits between Aizawa, who's next to the head of the table where Nezu and Tsukauchi will be talking, and Vlad. The four are the only UA teachers in the room. Most everyone is here besides a few pro heroes. Mainly Mt. Lady, Kamui Woods, Endeavor, and Gang Orca. All the present heroes: Echo, Eraserhead, Vlad King, All Might, Gran Torino, Edgeshot, Tiger, and Best Jeanist.
Endeavor is the next hero that enters. His eyes immediately find Echo's, and he scoffs angrily, stomping off to his seat. He glares at her, her icily returning it, until his attention is moved to Best Jeanist conversing with him.
"That was quite a glare sent your way," Aizawa speaks up, noticing the silent exchange. "What's that all about?"
"He asked for help, and he refused my conditions, so he's mad at me about it. I also called out his bullshit and told him off, so I'm not his favorite person at the moment."
"That's brave of you."
"Endeavor is one of the least frightening people I've met," Echo scoffs.
"I'm glad someone did it," Vlad roughly says, looking in the man's direction. "That's a big reason he could never pass All Might. He has too big a head."
"Literally," Echo scoffs and chuckles.
That manages to get a small snicker from Aizawa.
The rest of the pro's arrive along with Nezu and the meeting begins.
It's decided that Nezu, Vlad, Aizawa, and herself will have a meeting with the public to cover up a secret attack.
