PART - 4

LEAP OF 4 MONTHS
It's been 4 months since Manan are together. They are happy with each other. Their love for each other just increased with every passing second.

In this 4 months,
They have been addicted to each other. They can't go a single day without meeting each other. But they are always alert about media as they don't want to disclose anyone about themselves now only. Not only Manik but Nandini is also famous because her mother is a renowned lady and her father was also very famous businessman.

Sometimes Manik comes to meet Nandini in the mid night climbing pipes without anyone's notice or Nandini goes to meet Manik in his every concert or shooting. They start their day with each other and also end with each other.

But it is said that nothing stays long. Calmness is the sign of upcoming disaster. Something like this also happened with our Manan.

One day morning Nandini came to meet Manik in his house. Manik was continuously calling her but she didn't pick up as she wanted to surprise Manik. After about half an hour she reached Manik's house but what she heard made her numb. She was not able to think anything. She stood numb without any expression at her place.

A: Manik Alya is the best choice for you. Me and your father also like her. Meet her once you will also like her.

M: But mom I don't want to get married now. Why aren't you understanding?

A: Manik you know your father is ill. Doctor had told anything can happen any time. He wants to see you settle in your life. For his sake as he liked Alya a lot.

M: Okay mom I will marry Alya.

At that time only he heard something falling down. Manik was talking with his mother through video call. He bid bye to his mom and went to see what happened. He hurriedly came downstairs and saw Nandini going outside running as fast as she can. Manik palmed his face. He knew Nandini must have heard everything and took everything in a wrong way. He pulled his hair in frustration and kicked a plant nearby.

Manik's pov
I was talking to mom and she as usual was ranting her marriage vajan. I so hate it but how will I tell her that I love Nandini and I only want to marry her.

Then I thought that for now I will agree to mom. Later I will tell the girl that I don't like her.

When I was talking to mom suddenly I heard something falling down. I came downstairs and what I saw made my breath hitched in throat.

I saw Nandini was going outside with tears and I got to understand she heard everything. I know how much Nandini hate betrayal she won't hear me and do something wrong. I have to talk to her.

Nandini's pov
I was very excited since morning as I was going to meet Manik after almost 2 days. He was so busy with his album that we didn't get time to meet even. So I was going to surprise him but I myself got surprise after going there.

That Manik was going to marry some Alya. He was just playing with my emotions all this while. He doesn't love me. He was just playing around. I am so much fool. I didn't wait there for a moment and came home crying.

Thankfully mumma was home today. When I am sad I don't need anything else but mumma. She was sitting on sofa and was going through some files. I ran towards her and started crying more loudly hugging her waist.

I know she must have become very sacred seeing me in this condition. She consoled me and I stopped crying. Then I told her everything she already knew about Manik and me though they never meet. She told me talk to Manik and ask why he did this. But I was adamant that I won't talk to him.
end of Nandini's pov

Manik was continuously calling Nandini but she didn't receive his call. He was very tensed. He took his car keys and drove towards Murthy Mansion without caring anything as that time only Nandini was important for him. He parked his car and ran inside the mansion. He found Arohi (Nandini's mom) there.

M: Wo aunty is Nandini in home?

Ar: I know why you have come. But she really doesn't want to meet with you now. She is not in her senses now. Come later.

M: Won't you ask why I did this?

Ar: Behind everything there is a reason I know that. Whatever your reason is, I know that must be very important.

Manik looked at her amusingly. He then told everything to her. She heard very carefully and advised Manik to meet Nandini tomorrow as she is very angry today. She is not in her senses and she also may not understand him now.  Manik then with a sad heart went to his house.

Manik came to meet Nandini the next day but she didn't open her room's door. After talking to her from outside he went away. Like this around 2 weeks got passed.

AFTER TWO WEEKS
Manik in this 2 weeks everyday comes to meet Nandini and went away after talking to Nandini from outside. Because Nandini never let him enter inside. This day also he came to meet Nandini for a change Nandini's room door was open today. So Manik enter inside.

N:(shouting) Stop. Why have you come here? Who the hell has given you the permission to enter in my room? How dare you? Get out from here right now.

M: Nandini, baby please listen to me once. Please just once then I will go I promise.

N: I don't want to hear anything from you. What will you say? Tell we what will you say? I know you will lie only. I don't want to hear your lies anymore. 

Manik was deeply hurt listening Nandini saying so bad word for him but he composed himself.

M: Nandini, whatever I had told, I have reason.

N: I don't want to hear your any  reason. Get out from here. From now on you are free you don't need to be with me anymore.

M: Nandini please don't say like this. You know how much important you are for me. You know you are everything to me.

From last 2 weeks you are not with me. In this two weeks I could not compose a song, could not sing a song, could not even write a single lyrics.

Music is my first love and you are my music. You are the inspiration of my music. Because of music we met. If you won't be there with me, I have to leave music.

N: (feeling sad but managed to maintain stern look on her face) Then leave it, I don't care. I know it will be lie only. Your new inspiration of music is already with you, Alya. Please leave now I don't want to see your face.

Manik then without saying anything leave from there with tears in his eyes. Arohi listened everything from outside. He met Manik outside and consoled him.

NEXT DAY MORNING
Arohi was reading newspaper and Nandini was in her room doing some thing. Suddenly she saw a news and that was

"THE ROCKSTAR MANIK MALHOTRA HAS LEFT SINGING. HE WON'T SING EVER FROM NOW ON BECAUSE OF SOME UNKNOWN REASON."

The news shocked Arohi. She got very angry on Nandini as she heard the whole conversation between Manan  the previous day. She marched towards Nandini's room she opened the room door with a bang. Nandini was shocked seeing Arohi this angry because she never got angry easily.

Ar: (sternly) Read out this news right now.

Nandini read the news and she also became shocked. She never in her worst dream also thought that Manik will leave singing because of her.

Ar: (shouting) Are you happy now? Did you het what you wanted? That boy came to you everyday and asked you to hear him once. He pleaded you everyday.

But you didn't pay any heed to him. What would have happened, if you had heard him once?  Why are you so much stubborn? Because of you he left his dream. What more prove you want that he loves you truly.

N: Mumma I didn't know Manik will do something like this.

Ar: Yes, you toh never know anything what happens when. Now go and talk to Manik or go far away from him, but give me a little peace. I am tired of your childishness. 

Then Arohi left the room leaving a crying Nandini behind. Nandini wiped her tears and thought something.

THAT DAY NIGHT
AT 12.01 AM
TODAY IS NANDINI'S BIRTHDAY

Nandini has decorated her room with candles.

She was wearing an anarkali which once Manik had gifted her.

There was a cake in front of her.

She was sitting downstairs. She looked at the clock and called Manik.

ON THE OTHER SIDE
AT MANIK'S HOME

We can see Manik was also sitting downstairs off his room. He hates darkness. Nandini was his sunshine. As Nandini has gone somewhere light has also gone from his life. His room was dark. He was sitting without any expression only pain was written on his face. There was a guitar lieing beside him with all broken strings.

Suddenly Manik's phone rang he saw the screen and it was from Nandini. Without wasting a second he picked up the call

M: Hello, Nandini. I am sorry. Please just once listen to me.

N: Today is my birthday, Manik. Won't you wish me?

M: (wiping his tears) yes.... yes.   Happy birthday to you happy birthday dear Nandini happy birthday to you.

N: Thank you. Manik I want to gift you something in my birthday. From today you won't have any problem because of me. I am freeing you from all my things. Bye Manik.

M: Hello, Nandini, listen to me. Hello... Nandini... Nandini....

Manik kept shouting her name nad Nandini couldn't say anything. Then Manik heard that Nandini was breathing heavily. He understood something wrong has happened. Without waiting a moment he went to Nandini's home and found her laying unconscious. He called for Arohi and took her to hospital.

IN HOSPITAL
Manik took Nandini in his arms went inside. As everyone knows Arohi so they started their treatment without questioning anything.

AFTER SOME HOURS
Doctor came outside from ICU. Manik ran towards him

M: Doctor, how is Nandini? She is alright, right?

Ar: Why aren't you saying anything? My daughter is okay, right?

D: Am sorry to say due to high dose of sleeping pills, she has slipped into come and her condition is also very critical.

M: When will she be fine? When will she get her consciousness back?

D: We can't say anything. We will observe her for 72 hours, if till then she showed any sign then, it will be a good news else we can't say anything.

Manik was shattered. He went towards ICU he saw Nandini laying lifelessly. He remembered their first meeting, Nandini's surprise their every moment. Tears were continuously falling from his eyes.

AFTER 72 HOURS

Doctor came out from ICU

M: What happened doctor?

D: Mr Malhotra am sorry to say she is not responding. I don't think there is any chance. But if you want we can keep her under observation as miracle happens.

Raj: yes keep her under observation and don't worry for anything. Jo bhi chahiye ho baas bata digiye ga.

Manik's parents was also there as after Nandini's accident Manik told them everything. They came to Mumbai in the next flight only to support Manik.
