y/n's pov:

I woke up instantly when I felt something cold splash onto my face. I yelped and scrambled off the floor. I fell asleep on the floor yesterday after a long day of hard training.

"Hey!" I yelled, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

"Sorry, it was the only way to wake you up," Nika said. Naru, Toko and Nika were standing in the entrance to the dorm.

"Well? What do you need?" I asked groggily. I stretched my arms and yawned.

"You have got to see this. Fubuki, Ranjiro and Aiger are actually training together," Nika said.

"WHAT?!" I exclaimed. Fubuki, Ranjiro and Aiger. Training. Together.

"Not so loud, y/n. You'll burst our eardrums along with everyone else's," Toko sighed. "You're nearly as bad as Valt."

I laughed and scratched the back of my neck. "At least I'm not as bad as your brother. Now let's go see the dream team work."

The four of us ran outside the dorms and to the gym where they were training. We opened the door a crack and peered inside, one head over the other.

"This time you should go for an angled launch," Fubuki said as they positioned themselves by the stadium.

"Right!" Aiger said. My jaw nearly hit the floor. What. The. Literal. Hell.

"They're agreeing! Did you see that?" I hissed, pointing through the door at them.

The beys rushed into the stadium. "Look at that battle sty-" I started. Then Achilles sped towards Roktavor and burst it.

"You blockhead! I told you this wasn't a real battle!" Ranjiro exclaimed.

"Don't be a sore loser just because you burst," Aiger sneered in reply.

"I am not a sore loser!" Ranjiro yelled right back.

So much for agreeing. I leaned over Toko, Nika and Naru's heads, trying to get a closer look when BAM!

I fell on top of Toko who fell on top of Nika who fell on top of Naru who faceplanted on the floor. The doors flew open and the dream team's heads snapped towards us.

"What are you guys doing here?" Fubuki asked, deadpanning.

I just groaned in defeat and buried my face in Toko's hair. "Alright, you can get off me now," Naru squeaked as our weight crushed her.

"Oops, sorry," I said. I rolled off of Toko onto the floor and was followed by Toko and Nika.

"Aww, come on! You get off of me now," I sighed. Nika jumped off and Toko helped me up.

"I thought you guys were working together!" I yelled as soon as I stood up.

"We were until that idiot burst me!" Ranjiro yelled and the two started their normal argument.

You could practically feel the anger radiating off of Fubuki. "ENOUGH! LET'S GO THROUGH IT AGAIN WITHOUT ANY FIGHTING!"

The next day...

"Hahaha! You actually showed up!" Lui scoffed. Fubuki, Aiger and Ranjiro stood across the bey stadium from him. The Wild Bey Gang, the beyclub and I stood on the side to watch the epic battle.

I wonder how this is gonna play out. I thought. "y/n, will you ref?" Fubuki asked.

"Of course!" I rushed over to the bey stadium's side. Yes! Frontrow seat! "This will be a three on one battle where the last bey standing wins!"

"Forget the rules. If one of you beats me, you all win. Though I highly doubt you can," Lui said.

"Bladers, ready! And set!" I yelled. This bey battle is gonna be amazing! I thought, fangirling inside.

"3!"

"2!"

"1!"

"Let it rip!"

The beys rushed into the stadium crazy fast. If things go according to plan, they have a chance at winning.

"Now, Achilles! Z Breaker!" Aiger yelled. Achilles broke away from Forneus and Roktavor. It smashed into Luinor and flew back into the side of the stadium. It wobbled as it spun.

"Z Breaker, failed?" I gasped. "But how?"

"Isn't it obvious? That bey is weak, just like it's blader. And there isn't anything you can do to change that," Lui said.

"That's where you're wrong, Lui. You're only saying that to cover up the fact that you didn't burst Achilles right away. You failed," I growled.

"Forneus! Take the center!" Fubuki yelled. Forneus rushed in for the second attack. It rushed into the center. "Use Emperor Guard!"

Luinor sent a barrage of attacks that didn't seem to do much damage. "Nothing can get past it's defence!" Fubuki said.

"Huh. You think so? Bite and crush! Dragon Scream!" Lui yelled. Luinor rushed in with it's special move.

Come on, Forneus. Luinor smashed into it and burst it. "Oh no, Fubuki," I muttered under my breath.

Ranjiro smirked. "Now, Roktavor Typhoon!" he yelled. Roktavor glowed bright orange and smacked into Luinor sending it flying across the stadium.

"What? How did he do that?" I exclaimed.

"Go Luinor! Pull it apart! Dragon Scream!" Lui yelled again. Luinor rushed towards Roktavor.

"Come on, can you pull it off, Ranjiro?" I said. Roktavor flew out of the stadium and burst midair.

"Damn it!" I exclaimed. I pulled my hair. Geez, this feels like I'm the one battling. Aiger still has a chance.

"Go for it Achilles!" Aiger yelled. His hair turned red and snapped through it's hair tie.

Luinor and Achilles clashed over and over again. Luinor flew back and hit the stadium's side, sending it in the air. "I did it!" Aiger exclaimed.

"No! Aiger don't get cocky now! Pay attention!" I yelled.

"Let's finish this, Luinor! Make some wicked rain fall!" Lui yelled. "Brutal Squall!"

Luinor fell through the air straight for Achilles. Achilles burst right away.

"Seems like playtime's over fellas!" Lui laughed.

The three collapsed to their knees. They picked up their bey's pieces.

I glared at Lui and ran over to the edge of the stadium. "Hey! I challenge you to a battle. Right here, right now!" I yelled.

"I just beat all three of your friends over there yet you still want to battle? What a joke!" Lui replied.

Luinor started glowing the same aura. "What? You still want to battle? Fine then. I accept."

I smirked. I pulled out b/n. "Prepare to face b/n!" I yelled.

"Come on, y/n! You can do it!" Everyone yelled in chorus.

We positioned ourselves by the stadium.

"3!"

"2!"

"1!"

"Let it rip!"

Luinor and b/n flew into the stadium, both spinning counter-clockwise.

"b/n! Use Lightning Storm!" I yelled. We both glowed f/c and there was a large explosion.

Luinor escaped with only a slight wobble. Lui laughed. "You'll have to do a lot more to beat me!"

"Don't worry, that was just a warm up!" I yelled. b/n sent a barrage of attacks towards Luinor.

"Let's end this, Luinor!" Lui yelled. "Dragon Scream!"

I smirked. "b/n! Shadow Defense!" b/n started to flicker before turning completely gray. Luinor ran right through b/n.

"What's this?" Lui exclaimed in shock.

"This is b/n's special move, Shadow Defense. b/n's spin is so fast that Luinor will pass right through it," I replied.

Everyone's eyes widened. "b/n, Blood Bath!" I yelled. b/n sent Luinor flying to the edge of the stadium. Lui laughed.

"That was a mistake! Luinor, make some wicked rain fall! Brutal Squall!" Lui yelled.

"Get out of there, b/n!" I yelled. A blinding light lit up the stadium. I was blown back across the floor and hit the wall on the other side of the room.

I hissed as pain spread throughout my back. The light dimmed and I stood up slowly.

"y/n! Are you okay?" Ranjiro asked. I nodded. I stumbled back to the stadium. My frown turned into a wide grin.

Luinor was embedded in the stadium while b/n lay unmoving beside it. I did it. I tied with Lui Shirosagi!

Lui growled as he picked up Luinor. "I will see you at the Luinor Cup," he said. Then he stalked off out of the room.
