Chapter Nineteen: Kidnapped? Or Maybe Not...
Third Person POV
"Alright! Let's get right to training!" y/n yelled. She ran out of the school and over to the nearest bey stadium.
"Wait up, y/n!" Aiger exclaimed, running after her along with Naru. Hae-jin was already standing by the stadium.
"Let's do this thing, b/n!" y/n said. She pulled out her launcher and launched b/n into the stadium. "Are you guys excited for the tournament?"
"Of course," Hae-jin said. "Hercules and I are going to defeat all our rivals. And then we will beat you, Aiger and Valt Aoi himself."
"Not if I do it first!" Aiger said. Hae-jin seemed to remember something.
"I have something I need to do, I'll be back soon," he said. He started walking off.
"Are you going jogging? We'll come too!" y/n and Aiger chorused and ran after him.
They walked up and saw him getting into a black van. "Hey!" y/n yelled. "They're kidnapping him!"
"STOP!!" Aiger and y/n yelled, running after the van. Ranjiro came up next to them.
"What the heck are you two doing?" Ranjiro asked, struggling to keep up.
"Hae-jin's been kidnapped! We gotta rescue him!" Aiger exclaimed. Ranjiro nodded.
"Let's go!" he yelled. Aiger jumped up onto the branch of a nearby tree and leapt onto a brick wall to find a shortcut to the van.
"I can do that if I stretched," Ranjiro grumbled. y/n heard someone ringing a bell behind them.
"Cap'n!" Tobisuke yelled while riding his bike, followed by the rest of the gang. "Where are you off to in such a hurry?"
"Hae-jin got kidnapped!" y/n explained. Then she grinned at Ranjiro. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
"Thanks!" y/n called as Ranjiro and her rode off on Tobisuke and Benimaru's bikes.
Eventually they caught up to Aiger outside of a large building. "He's in there," he whispered.
The rest of the gang came up behind them. "Well what are we waiting for? Let's go in," y/n hissed.
They crept into the building and hid behind a corner. "Those are the people that kidnapped him," y/n whispered, pointing to the two men in suits outside of a door. "What are we going to do?"
"Hmm," Aiger said. "I know!" Ranjiro and Aiger shot their beys down over to the two men and they circled around them.
The gang jumped on top of them, hanging on and biting and scratching when they could.
y/n ran forward to try and break down the door. The door opened and she ran right into Hae-jin, knocking them both over.
She groaned and rolled off of him. "What are you doing?" Hae-jin asked.
"Saving you from these guys!" Aiger replied while wrestling with one of the men.
"These are my trainers, could you please get off of them?" Hae-jin asked.
"Oh, oops," Aiger laughed sheepishly. They climbed off of them and y/n stood up. "So you weren't kidnapped?"
"As you can see this is a training arena for archery," Hae-jin said, pointing to the targets on the far side of the room he was in.
"Oooh, I love archery! Can you show us?" y/n asked, clapping her hands. Hae-jin nodded.
They followed him into the room and stood against the wall opposite from the targets. Hae-jin lifted the bow and drew back the drawstring. He let the arrow fly and it landed right in the bullseye. He shot a few more, all following the first arrow.
"Let me try that," Ranjiro said. Hae-jin handed him the bow. y/n snorted as he fiddled with the drawstring, his face turning red from the strain. "Alrighty." He let the arrow fly, but moved the bow up at the last second, making the arrow flop uselessly to the floor.
"Argh, this thing is rigged or something," Ranjiro said, handing the bow to Aiger.
"No, I think you just flopped," y/n said, punching Ranjiro's shoulder with a grin.
Aiger took Ranjiro's spot. "Oh, so this is how it works," he muttered. He drew the drawstring back with ease and aimed. He let the arrow fly, and unlike Ranjiro, it hit the bullseye.
"Beginners luck," Ranjiro retorted. "That was just a fluke." Aiger laughed.
"You're just jealous that I hit the target and you didn't!"
"Why you little-"
"I swear if you start fighting again I will beat your sorry butts into the ground," y/n growled.
Ranjiro and Aiger both squeaked and went back to their spots. Aiger pulled back the drawstring again. He let go but this time the arrow landed on the ground.
"See? I told you it was a fluke," Ranjiro laughed as the gang started chanting "fluke".
"No, he just lost his concentration," y/n hissed. "Let me try." Aiger handed her the bow.
She attached an arrow and took a deep breath. She aimed and fired at the target, getting a bullseye.
"Eh, I bet that was just a fluke like Aiger. There's no way you could have gotten it," Ranjiro said.
"Let's see about that," y/n said. She notched another arrow and let it fly. The arrow landed right where the first arrow was, splitting it down the middle.
"Ha! How's that for a fluke? I totally Robin Hooded it!" y/n exclaimed with a smirk. "Sorry I broke one of your arrows, Hae-jin."
"That was amazing," Hae-jin replied as he took the bow from y/n. "No one has ever gotten that on their first try."
"Well there's a first time for everything!" y/n grinned. "Oh, would you look at the time. I gotta get going, I promised Naru that I'd play with her."
"Goodbye, Aiger, Ranjiro, y/n. I am going to practice," Hae-jin said. y/n nodded.
"I'll see you guys tomorrow when we know the lineups! Can't wait to see who I'm up against!" y/n laughed. She waved and ran off back to the dorms.
A/N: And there is the long awaited chapter nineteen of A Blader's Love!! Hope you all enjoyed! I think I'm going to start having longer chapters now. This chapter was fun to write since I'm actually into archery and shooting bow and arrows. But anyways, I'll try to get another chapter done by next week! Words: 1022
