Ch 9: The Middle Route

A/N: Ok, borderline proofread so there will probably be mistakes. Mostly a filler. This was supposed to be longer, but I thought's it's been a while and it might be best to get a chapter out without it being so long. Stuff is going to happen soon, if I can eventually write it without making it soo long.  Yeah that's it. Hope you enjoy!

No One's POV

Han had been working for a couple of days now. He had gotten Minho's message through Changbin a couple of days ago.

Changbin: Minho's Message: I don't regret what I did, but I won't bother you about your situation anymore or force you to do things anymore. I don't regret what I said because I want to remind you how hard it is helping people without knowing their story, but I do regret losing my cool and making you lose his cool. I hope we can still be friends.

Han: Can I have his number?

Han: I'm not texting him back right away, but just when I want to I will

Changbin: !!

Changbin: Sure ^^

Changbin: [Minho's number]

Changbin: Can you add it yourself?

Han: I'll figure it out

Han took Minho's message to heart, and he lost a lot of the steam he had before, so he did want to make up with Minho...just when he's done with everything.

Han was done refilling Vera's power about a week of almost non-stop work. Now all Vera need to do was recharge and Han took that time to sleep the days away.

He had found a way to loop Changbin's song and he hadn't turned it off since the day he turned it on. He may have lowered the volume once in a while, but it was always there. He listened to it as he slept as well.

People would call him obsessed. Yes, he proudly was. It was their song after all

{Time Skip}

Han was pretty bored waiting for Vera to recharge properly. He had been working for maybe about a week straight. With all of the ship's facilities scarce, Vera couldn't recharge at her normal speed, so Han knew that he'd have to wait a while to see his friend again.

He really missed her. She was the only real piece of his home that he had. He wonders what everybody's doing on his planet, and if his parents are looking for him. It's very confusing.

They would definitely be looking for him, no matter how Han's family behaved towards him, they'd never leave him behind, but they also would never take this long to find Han. Additionally, there wasn't any threatening force on Earth that they could possibly be afraid of. So why aren't they here yet?

This leads Han to think back to why he was in the spaceship in the first place. Vera probably knew but wasn't able to tell him once she turned off. Han worried that it had something to do with why nobody had found him yet.

I mean, if they gave me Vera to keep, then there's no way they were trying to get rid of me.

Was it an option? Sort of, but Han refused to believe it was anything like that. It just wouldn't make any sense. Then again, nothing made any sense right now, so he really can't be making any guesses.

Now all Han could do was wait. Alone. With his thoughts.

He didn't want to be stuck in his ship like this. So he thought about his connections on Earth. Han will have to leave soon, especially after Vera wakes up and tells him what's up.

Han had decided that he was going to tell Changbin about himself and why he's here. That would also make it easier to explain why he had to leave. But he wanted to only tell Changbin.

He hadn't properly met any of the other people properly yet, so he couldn't necessarily trust them yet.

And speaking of people he didn't trust, his mind wandered to Minho. Han kind of wanted to tell Minho about his situation too, but only to because Minho thought bad of him. The idea was very tempting, but he knew that he'd risk a lot if he tried doing that.

Han didn't know how Minho would react to the news, and even though he seemed like the kind of person to be able to keep a secret, he definitely wasn't Han's first option. He might be second.

But first Han has to make up with him and he thought about doing it today.

So he opened up a chat with Minho's contact in it. And then his mind went blank.

Were they going to talk it out over the phone? Something told Han that that wouldn't be too sincere.

Han thought it might be best to meet up at Minho's shop, since he knew the older would be there and for the sake of finishing something where it started.

Han: Hey Minho

Han waited for a reply. If Minho's busy, there's no way this apology will come out right for the both of them.

Minho: Oh hey

Han: Yeah so...

Han: I feel kind of ready to solve things between us

Han: Do you mind me coming over to your store?

Minho: Really? That's great. Not like I was waiting or anything

Minho: Sure, but it might be better to come tomorrow, since the shop closes early then

Han: Yeah, that's fine with me

Han: Just give the specifics and I'll be there

Minho: Sure. Thanks for the second chance :)

Han: No problem ^^

Han: Don't waste it tho

Han: I'm not really a fan of third chances

Minho: Yes sir

Minho: So does tomorrow at 4 sound good?

Han: Yup. I'll be there

At this point Minho was planning on asking Han about meeting everybody after their talk, but then he realized that they might fight again. So if everything went good tomorrow then he'd ask Han about coming over to meet the rest of the gang. He also decided not to tell Changbin and Chan about Han meeting up with him, in case it went bad. He hoped it wouldn't, but he wouldn't want to let them down, if it did. But Jisung seemed more chill with him? So he thinks they'll work it out.

Han sighed after him and Minho had finished texting. Even if Minho was still annoying, Han decided that he wasn't going to forgive him regardless. But Minho seemed to really want to be friends with Han and Changbin did say that Minho was doing it out of care and because he wanted to help.

Honestly, Han was kind of excited for tomorrow. He felt kind of trashy since Minho and him had fought, but he imagined them being friends and joking around with each other without hard feelings and the idea made him feel better. He wasn't going to mess it up this time for sure. Minho seemed to fun to leave behind angry.

Han pondered on texting Changbin about the meeting but decided against it. This was him and Minho and they both had to work it out themselves, if they wanted to be real friends and not mutual friends only.

After texting Minho, Han felt relaxed. Their argument now seemed kind of silly. Han meant everything he said about Minho prying too much, but he seriously didn't have to yell and get so riled up. What was he thinking?

With the small regret, that he's feeling, Han thinks that their meeting will go well.

Minho thinks that too. He hopes that Han could also help him get his normal paycheck back too, by explaining to the angry old man that he wasn't be harassed and that they were friends just fighting. Minho didn't like telling people about his rent problem, especially people he didn't know, but he knew it was necessary.

Minho groaned to himself. At least, the sharing of information might show Han that Minho is willing to trust him and hopes Han can trust him as well. Then Han would tell him more about his problem and they could laugh off their old argument together.

Both boys, phones still in their hands, laid down. Both boys imaging the different ways their meeting could go tomorrow. Both thinking the same thing.

I really want us to be friends.

{The Next Day}

Han had woken up a few hours a go and it was way to early for him to go to Minho's store. Minho had yet to text him when to come, so Han wasn't exactly sure what time to be awake. So instead of over-sleeping and missing the text, Han decided to wake up early. Maybe a bit to early, but he wouldn't be able to sleep again, so he didn't bother trying.

As Han waited for Minho to text him, he decided to map out his route from here towards Minho's store. Han is in no way about to take public transportation. No Fucking way.

And though he'd prefer not walking, he didn't seem to have a choice at the moment, so he pondered over which rout to take.

I can't take the shortest route because I'll seem eager or impatient and because I won't have time to get my self together on the way. But I can't take too long or else Minho might think I stood him up or that I'm not taking this seriously. So one of the medium sized routes would be good.

There were many similar routes, but Han had chosen an 18-minute route that maneuvered through the pathways between tight building rather than huge public walkways. While there is something comforting about blending in with the crowd, just having such a mass amount of people around him will probably stress the life out of him.

It had taken Han about an hour to decide the route and by then Minho has texted him.

Minho: Okay so I'm heading out to work now

Minho: The shop closes near 5 today

Minho: So coming near that time would be great

Han: Okay

Han: I'll come at 4:40

Han: Sound good?

Minho: 👍

Han winced reading the messages. They sounded so boring and formal. He hoped that would all change today.

A/N: Ok, NOEASY is probably one of my favorite albums from stray kids, but honestly star lost and silent cry hit me so hard in so many ways.
