Ch 6: Shocking

A/N: Here it is! Not gonna lie, I'm actually kind of proud of this one so I hope you guys like it. Also I've decided to start using Hyung and stuff, but I don't really know the logistics of it so if there is a mistake, ignore my lack of knowledge.

Disclaimer: Mild use of annoying and cringe puns

Han's POV

I didn't know how long I had slept. It had seemed like ages since I had my body parts somewhat properly supported by soft accessories.

I probably would've kept sleeping as well, but a loud laugh knocked me out of my slumber.

I sat up and rubbed my eyes tiredly, causing the park to become silent. When I took my hands off, I saw Jeongin glaring at Changbin who rubbed his neck sheepishly. I grinned.

"Hey guys what brings you here so early?" I greeted them.

"Hannie, you do know that it's 3 pm, right?" Changbin asked.

I nodded, pretending I slept this late on purpose. "Yeah, of course I knew that."

"Hey Jisung, I'm sorry I came a long, but I really wanted to meet you after yesterday. You seem really interesting, and I had so much fun just watching you and Changbin converse that I couldn't help but want to meet you too. I hope we can get along and I promise I won't make you uncomfortable," Jeongin said excitedly, with a quick bow.

I did tell Changbin that I wanted time to meet people, but Jeongin didn't make me nervous. His appearance made me think that Jeongin could never come off as a threat, something I knew I would be regretting later.

I didn't know Jeongin, but I could tell he was a happy kid. All I wanted to do was protect him from all the dangers targeting him, he reminded me of someone I used to hold very closely. So to come off as comfortable with him, I wrapped an arm around Jeongin ad ruffled his hair, while rubbing my cheek against his briefly. "No problem. I liked you more than Changbin the minute I saw you anyway."

I saw him beam and wrap his arm around me, eyeing Changbin proudly, who just huffed, but didn't argue against anything.

"It's fine, I know very well that our IN-ah is the most likeable person on the planet, so I'm not offended. I'm glad you were okay with me bringing him here. I really didn't want to, but I couldn't say no to him with the look he gave me," Changbin said cautiously.

I smiled. I liked to see that Jeongin was getting the affection he deserved. But I questioned regardless, "IN?"

"That's my nickname, I also have Innie as well. We usually give each other nicknames. Like yours Hannie. Changbin Hyung's is Binnie and Chan Hyung's is Channie and Seungmin Hyung's is Minnie and-"

"Jeongin, he doesn't know everybody yet remember?" Changbin reminded Jeongin.

"Oh yeah! Why don't you come and meet them? Everybody's going to be so happy to meet you." Jeongin proposed happily, Changbin facepalmed and scolded Jeongin.

"Innie! Remember he doesn't want to get overwhelmed!" Jeongin visibly saddened and I couldn't bear watch the smile fall from his face.

"It's okay. I guess I could meet some of them. I'd thought about going into the city today to get some business done anyway," I told them and Jeongin became happy again with a curt "Yesss."

Changbin sighed and spoke, "Look, I know upsetting Jeongin is hard to deal with, but we don't want to force you into it."

I nodded, but I had already decided I was going into the city today and seeing Jeongin's excitement made me even happier.

"I'm sure I want to go, let's go visit that electrical friend of yours and get some business done!' I said determinedly and Changbin smiled.

"Okay we'll drop IN off back at Chan's and then we'll go see Minho."

Minho, that's his name, huh? I thought, wondering about how he was.

"Waaaaeeee?" Jeongin whined. "Why can't I come with you to Minho?"

"Because Hannie has important business he needs to do and didn't you promise Felix that you'd help him drag Seungmin to another dog shelter later today," Changbin said, making up for his past mishap of timely knowledge.

"Yeah, but that's later, I can still go" he said gruffly. I cooed. He was so adorable.

Just then a twinkly noise came from Jeongin's pants and he pulled a device from it and tapped on it.

"Yes Hyung?" he said.

After a while of talking, I saw his expression perk up and he seemed to be considering something. He agreed to something with the person on the phone and returned it to his pocket.

"Since you're a meanie, I'm going to get ice cream with Channie Hyung. Enjoy meeting Minho, Hannie. Be careful though, he's kind of weird," IN said running away from Changbin and Han towards the city.

Changbin called after him, "Wait up, we're dropping you off at Chan's first. Yang Jeongin, I swear to god, look both ways when crossing the road!"

I watched as Changbin chased after him desperately. I took one final look in the direction behind me and raced after them as well.

I had no idea why I felt so happy, and I didn't question it. It felt so good, especially since it's been so long since I smiled like this. Why did these humans make me feel like this?

{After dropping Jeongin off and arriving at "Take Charge"}

Me and Changbin had dropped Jeongin off and we arrived at Minho's store. I looked above the blue store to see a glowing – almost blinding even in the daylight—neon blue sign reading "Take Charge." I assumed that was the name of the store.

When I was able to pry my eyes off the sign, I looked at the exterior of the building. It was blue, but not one singular shade. The windows were a clear deep ocean blue, while the little bell above the door was the brightest sky blue. The walls of the shop were the generic blue color and the door was a light blueish turquoise.

We stepped into the store and the little bell above it, made a satisfying Ting!

The store's atmosphere itself was very chill. Almost like a futuristic coffee shop with its light blue walls and soft electronic music. There were a couple of people here and there, admiring devices on display, while some families were near the customer service desk getting their devices repaired.

I really liked the design of the place. If I ever worked, this was definitely the environment I'd like to work in. People were talking but against the impression of the store, their voices seemed to be drowned out.

I guess I looked amazed and surprised because Changbin looked over at me confused and asked, "You've never been in a shop before either?"

I played it cool and glared at him, "Of course I have, but this place it's... it's perfect. I don't think I've been in a shop that felt so much like home."

Changbin smiled at this, but I frowned realizing my word of choice. I hadn't meant to say home, maybe there was a translation error. I have one home and this planet, let alone this shop, cannot compare to it at all.

A beautifully melodical whistle brought me out of my thoughts, and I saw a guy side-stepping his way through the store in precise turns with amazing footwork. He dodged people while holding a tray full of parts in one hand and another tray holding new devices in the other, almost like a waiter. It was like he was dancing, the motion as fluid as water. I couldn't help but stare.

Suddenly a yell ripped through the air, disturbing the shop's calm atmosphere. The water boy stopped, but gracefully as if undisturbed by the disturbance. "Lee Minho, I swear if any of those fall, I'm going to fire you!"

The boy gave a playful nod and was on his way again, when he realized that his boss hadn't stopped glaring at him. "Anything else?"

"When I yelled at you for dropping them, I meant stop holding them like food plates. Put them in a safer position," The man yelled once again, he wasn't necessarily mad, but he did seem annoyed.

"No need sir. I'm willing to take a gamble. It's not like I could ever slip anyway. If everybody else is careful, these things are going to be okay. Got that people? Good. Have a nice day and I hope our services satisfy you." The water boy said so sweetly, in comparison to the words he uttered. It was enticing.

The people in the store smiled at the boy, "Ah, youth" the older ones mumbled, but nonetheless, everybody found his attitude charming rather than rude, which made me feel better since I thought I was the only one who found this guy so amazing.

When I acted that way back at home, it always caused problems. I was always awkward. But I bet my mother would've loved this guy, if he were to disobey, he'd do it in style. He'd show confidence and he'd look absolutely amazing doing it all. He was pretty much everything I wanted to be, but I wasn't really jealous of him. That was another effect the boy had on me.

The man that was yelling before shook his head defeatedly and continued back into a door behind the counters.

I looked back at the water boy, and he went on his way to the customer service desk to past the tray of parts and kept the device in his hand. Everybody glanced at him happily.

Knocking everybody out of their daze, Changbin called out to water boy, "Oi Minho Hyung!"

For the first time since he was at the shop, he saw the boy's smooth demeanor falter into a much more relaxed one as he calmly made his way to Changbin and me. I almost freaked out, water boy was Minho. I'm going to speak to water boy.

"Hey, piggie, who's your friend?" Water boy, who I guess I should be calling Minho now, said.

Geo flashed a picture of a pig in my head and I smirked when I saw Changbin's face contort into anger.

"It's Dwaekki, Lee know Hyung." Changbin replied smugly, and Minho frowned.

"I told you not to call me that. You've upset me Binnie." He deadpanned, his expression unchanging.

Lee know, Minho, and water boy. How many names does this boy have. I must've looked confused, so Changbin finally decided to introduce me.

"Minho Hyung, this is Hannie. Uh- I mean Han Jisung. He's around here looking for some sort of electrical part he needs for something specific, and he was wondering where to get it, so I recommended this place."

"Hello, Hannie. Nice to meet you," he said extending his hand out for me to shake.

I reached for it and replied back, "Likewis-" but as I was speaking, I felt a shock spread through my body the minute our hands touched. I recoiled my hand in surprise and stared at Minho dumbfounded who just laughed beautifully. He must've been working with something before he held those trays, don't you just love static electricity?

"Ooops, sorry Hannie. Did I hurt you? Guess we just have a special kind of spark," He said with a wink. I blushed and Changbin groaned beside me,

"Minho Hyung, please can I go a visit without your flirting and electricity puns!"

"Sorry. You shouldn't be shocked though Binnie. Really you should be fused to it. Watt an absolute loser, am I right Hannie?" Minho playfully said, enjoying himself.

I was still lost in the enormous amount of word play he used in his words. I can't believe Geo was able to translate and recognize them as well. I was a fan of word play myself, so I thought I'd have some fun with water boy as well.

"Sorry Hyung, but my chips are sealed. But if it makes you feel any better, I'm fighting the surge to join you," I tried, hoping my words came out as fluidly as Minho's.

The boy's face tilted into a small smile which widened extravagantly after hearing Changbin groan, "Not you too Hannie. If you guys are gonna keep this up, then I'm going to go leave and get ice cream with Innie and Channie Hyung."

I stiffened for a second at the thought of Changbin leaving me, but then I relaxed. I realized that maybe I wouldn't have to worry since Minho was here. I'd like to get to know the boy better anyway.

"Fine with me. You said you wanted some electrical part Hannie? Do you know specifically which one or would you like to take a look?" Minho turned to me and asked.

"Uhm, I'll take a look around and see which part speaks out to me," I told him.

Changbin sighed, "I'll wait for you here. Oh and Hannie, after you're done here, is it okay if we go see Chan Hyung? He really wanted to meet you and is very sad because Innie is bragging about meeting you."

I chuckled, "Okay, but make sure that it's only Chan Hyung and Jeongin... I'll meet the rest later I promise."

He nodded, and Minho announced after. "I'm coming with you guys too."

"No Minho, you have a job for a reason." Changbin reminded him.

Minho thought for a moment, pouted, but sighed a small fine.

Then he grabbed my hand, waved to Changbin, and dragged me towards two large heavy metal doors. I waved bye to Changbin and followed Minho through them, ready to see what Earth's technology could offer me.

No one's POV

Minho pushed open the heavy door and pulled Han beside him and the door closed with a slam the minute Minho let it go.

The storage room was filled with various electrical equipment all stacked on dark gray racks in a black room. The room had bright light, tinted blue causing the racks to mimic the shade. All of the shelves were stacked with the same equipment organized into straight shiny lines. It was almost as if a robot had come down here and one by one lined them up with measurements and everything. Chips, motherboards, circuit wires, switches, buttons, screens, you name it.

"Why's it so straight?" Han muttered, not meaning to say anything out loud.

Minho let out a loud fake laugh, "Well, Seungmin when he's stressed comes by sometimes and over cleans literally everything here and the big man just loves it so much that if a breeze were to shift one of his precious materials out of place, he'd lose all the hair he has in his obnoxiously yellow wig. Seungmin just walks in here and start lining them up and I just don't have the energy to mess them up. I'd love to though. Have you met Seungmin? I bet you haven't, if you had, you would be nodding along to everything I'm saying right now."

Han shook his head, "I haven't met Seungmin yet..."

To say the least, Han was confused.

When he heard of Seungmin before, he thought him and this Seungmin guy were alike. They both had an anxiety against people, Han for probably more normal reasons than the latter, but nonetheless they both could hide away from everybody together. But after seeing the straight rows of appliances in the storage, he's becoming more scared to meet this person that he thought. It would be like meeting your long-lost twin, but then realizing that your other twin isn't actually like you at all and is really set out to kill you.

Han wouldn't call himself an organized person, even he didn't have the guts to lie like that. He was actually kind of proud of it. Making messes and watching the people who made fun of him clean them up. But he'd help people around if he felt nice or if they never did anything bad to him.

But cleaning to get stress off seemed insane to Han, really, cleaning caused him stress.

"Anyway Hannie, the store is all yours for now, just find what you want and then come to me and I'll check it out for you. Then we can be slick and find a way to get out of here and get Starbucks to tempt Changbin with," Minho told me walking away.

That's when Han realized something.

All of this time, through all his stress, Han had completely forgotten about finding out about the currency on Earth.

Back at home Han didn't have to worry about currency, since he was a prince. He'd toss the cashier his neon green jelly card and the cashier would slap it down onto a pad and then Han would stick his palm in it and process done.

Han had absolutely no idea how Earth's currency system worked.

"Wait! Minho!" Han called out to the boy halfway through the door who turned around and tilted his head. When he turned around though, the metal door landed on his foot and he let out a loud howl.

"Oh! Uh... sorry." Minho just nodded, as he tried to compose himself while cradling his poor foot.

"I can't actually get anything right now," Han told him hesitantly. What do I tell him? What can I do?

"Why not Hannie?" Minho asked confused, taking his attention off of his foot.

"I...I... kind of... sort of... don't have any money," he mumbled out, hoping that in some way he'd be able to get the supplies he needed through pity.

Minho seemed surprised and didn't say anything for a long time. He just stared and seemed to be in thought.

For a while they stared at each other. Han wouldn't have minded, but with the situation he's in now, staring didn't seem pleasant.

"Prove it," Minho popped with a serious expression. Out everything Han's seem from him so far, this has to be his most scary expression.

I dug my hand into my pockets and turned them inside out and signaled that I had nothing. Minho rolled his eyes.

"Not like that, take out your phone and lemme call Changbin and ask him to confirm that you're not playing with me."

"I don't have a phone Minho," Han said quietly.

Minho got up and went outside to talk to Changbin. Han didn't bother trying to listen to them. He was too scared to have things out of his control, he didn't want to eavesdrop and potentially make things worse for him.

{With Changbin and Minho}

"Is he lying?" Minho asked. He had already told Changbin what happened with Han.

He saw Changbin hesitate before he started speaking.

"Well, I don't know if he has any money per say, but he does seem poor Minho. When I picked him up today, he was sleeping on a bench. He doesn't let me go to his house and he said he just moved. I'm guessing he either ran away from home, or he's alone and poor."

Minho's faced scrunched up in frustration. Ah...what do I do? I'll just help him out this once...

He let out an uncomfortably loud groan, surprising the people in the store who only knew of water boy. Changbin raised an eyebrow.

"Aight. Let's get this over with," he said as he walked back to Han, fishing for something in his pocket on the way.

Changbin watched him go, wondering what he was going to do. He hoped it was good, but Minho was an employee at this store and he didn't want to force him into trouble.

{Back with Han}

Minho walked back to Han to see him leaning against the wall not looking too optimistic.

"Okay, Hannie. We can work this out if you're willing to cooperate." Minho said seriously.

Han wasn't going to lie and play it brave. He really didn't know what to do and how he was going to get by without money at all. He didn't want to force his friends to help him and Minho didn't seem like the type to constantly let down his shoulder for someone.

Minho walked over to the shelf and picked up a light bulb, "Will this be fine for you now?"

Han nodded, of course he was going to need more, but he didn't want to ask for more yet since it looked like he was getting a chance.

"Okay then take this. I'll pay for it." He said, there was a look in his eyes that Han couldn't read but it made him feel really guilty. "And..." He pulled something out of his pocket.

It was 50$ bill.

"Take this and spend it sparingly. I'm only giving this to you now, so you have to do something for me in return" he said locking eyes with mine.

I nodded quickly, waiting for him to give me a task.

"Since I'm giving you money, you've got to promise me you'll get a job and you'll earn money on your own. If you need help finding a job, me and my friends can help you, but you have to try," Minho explained to Han. He then handed Han the 50-dollar bill.

Han took it happily as his mind pondered over the idea of having an Earth job. Han hadn't ever had a job on his own planet. He was crowned prince, it's not like he'd have to learn anything in too much detail to lead the kingdom.

But now he had to get a job, on a planet he barely knew anything about, in its reality it wasn't fair, but Han couldn't be picky, so he thanked Minho profusely and promised him to get money for himself by himself.

Minho nodded and smiled. "I'll take it to the counter and check it out for you, Wait with Changbin, I'll be there."

"Thanks so much water boy – I mean Minho," Han stumbled, getting away from there as fast as possible.

Minho just raised an eyebrow but nevertheless found nothing wrong with the nickname though he was curious.

Han made his way back to Changbin. Changbin eyed him, looking to see if Minho had destroyed the boy's dreams or not and his body seemed to heave a sigh of relief seeing the look on Jisung's face.

He wasn't happy, but his face looked determined and with his situation right now, that's all Changbin could ask for.

"Umm Changbin. I don't think I'll be able to see everybody else today. Can I just go home straight from here?" Han asked Changbin timidly. He wanted to get to work on his ship almost immediately and see what he could do with the newfound technology and he also needed to school himself on Earth's labor system as well.

Innie's face flashed in his mind and Han felt guilty but he sucked it up the best he could, already carrying IN's sadness on his shoulder.

"It's all your decision Hannie, I'll come to drop you off," He said.

Han nodded, but froze when he heard a voice and turned around to meet a frown, "You're not going with us to Chan Hyung's?"

Minho was clearly upset. He was so excited before to see Han interact with his friends, but most of all he felt guilty. He didn't want to scare Han away from his friends. He also didn't mean to come off as scary, he just wanted Han to be able to fend for himself and not get too reliant on others to help him.

Han tried to speak to explain himself, but Minho sighed and cut him off, "Never mind. It's okay. You do you, but I'm going to drop you off whether you like it or not."

Han nodded. He felt bad for disappointing them, but he promised himself not to get too attached to the people on this planet. His escape as well was looking messed up, so he really needed to get things together.

Minho held the plastic bag in his hand and walked out of the store yelling, "Cover for me!"

Minho's co-workers smiled back to him and waved to him. They all knew Minho wasn't worried about getting in trouble since he was extremely helpful around here and everybody knew he was needed.

Changbin followed Minho and Han followed him. Minho promptly turned the wrong direction to which Changbin had to reprimand him into falling back so he could lead. Minho gruffly agreed, his face tinted slightly pink.

Han turned around one final time to look at the beautiful shop he left. The 'Take Charge" sign glinted beautifully back at Han, waving him goodbye. He tried to wave back with his mind, hoping the sign got the message.

{Time Skip}

Their way back was quiet for a while as Jisung desperately clutched the lightbulb and dollar bill in his hand.

His hands kept sweating causing him to try to grip the things harder, but he knew he couldn't do that too much because the things might tear or break.

The two items in his hand were small steps for him to be able to fix his ship, he was going to protect them with his life. Right now they were his everything.

As the trio was walking back, Minho's face scrunched up in mild disgust.

Minho didn't hate the outdoors, but the amount of wet leaves he had stepped on that were probably stuck to his brand new shoes had subtly annoyed him. He prayed they didn't have to walk through a forest because he didn't think he could stand battling twigs and bugs off his beautiful exterior.

Changbin was in emotional frustration and confusion right now. Han needs to get a job is basically what he heard Minho say to Han, but what could Han do?

Changbin didn't know why, but he knew that there was something more to Han's story that he wasn't telling, something important. If he was homeless or poor surely he would've been happy when they offered to help him get a job. No one poor wants to stay poor.

The three didn't talk too much as they were too absorbed in their own thoughts to worry about the atmosphere and the vibe.

Until Minho had grown bored worrying over nature and decided to think more into the problem at hand. Han's situation was very intriguing, and Minho was positively sure Han didn't feel comfortable around him anymore, but he still wanted to try to help him. To Minho, Han didn't seem like the type of person to want to openly ask for help, unless it was absolutely necessary.

Minho, following his train of thought, broke the silence in between the group by asking Han a question, "If you're going to do stuff with electrical mechanisms, I can help you Hannie. Stuff like that can be dangerous and I'm specialized in it anyways."

Han, almost dropping the items in his hand, turned to Minho suddenly. "Ah no it's alright. Don't worry, I'm not completely clueless about this stuff. I have knowledge on electricity and magnetism and stuff as well. I probably would ask for help if I really needed it."

Minho nodded sadly. The poor boy felt upset for being a little intimidating to Han, though he doesn't regret doing it, he hadn't calculated for the consequences feeling this bad.

Han sensed Minho's sadness and was surprised. He hadn't expected Minho to react that way to his rejection. That's when Han realized that Minho only meant well.

He wanted to try to make Minho happier, since Han wants to get to know Minho better and doesn't want things to be awkward with them. He wants no regrets when he leaves.

"Hey Minho, is it fine if I come over tomorrow to look at the other supplies? I won't buy them until I have the sufficient amount needed to buy them, but it would be good to just know beforehand."

Minho didn't visibly brighten but he did feel a little better that he had a second chance to make things better with Han. Changbin looks like the kind to make bad first impressions, but Minho knew that Changbin would never reach his level.

Minho knew he was a walking enigma, and he took pride in it. He took pride in his bad first impressions. He always used to say, "If people can't handle you at your worst, then they don't deserve you at your best" and he's stuck with that since then.

But Han had made him feel guilty and he cared about what Han thought about him because there was something about Han that attracted Minho. He was different, but not in the way Minho was. He reminded Minho of a runaway stray with charm, him against the world, and he knows how to play it.

Regardless Minho had a chance, and he was going to use his chance. "Of course Hannie come over anytime you want."

Honestly, Minho wanted to add more. The male usually never said things without a witty or fun comment following, but he for once read the situation and decided against it.

Han smiled at Minho's answer. To be honest, he didn't know if he was helping Minho feel better or not, but he tried to seal the deal of his efforts with a hand on Minho's shoulder.

"See ya then!" Han said happily.

Minho stared at Han and then at his hand. Han gulped nervously and retracted his hand, and returned it to his side, wondering if he took it too far.

But he was pleasantly surprised/scared out of his mind when Minho had let out the most genuine and beautiful smile he's ever seen. The boy didn't say anything, but then again, he didn't need to. His eyes told what he was feeling.

Changbin watched the whole ordeal in utter confusion. Minho must be sick, or he's drowning so much in his problems that he's lost himself. Or Han Jisung has found a way to soften his stone heart.

Changbin unconsciously laughed at the idea, but when he brought himself to the present, he was met with Minho glaring at him and Han looking confused.

"Oh I was just thinking of something funny," He explained himself and secretly smiled when he saw Minho's annoyed glare. He was going to pester Minho about it later for sure. They were all such wonderful friends.

By that time, they had arrived where they were going to drop Han off.

Han waved goodbye to the both of them, running to the foot of the forest.

Minho watched him go, bug-eyed. "You do realize he's running into the forest, right? Is he a hermit?"

Changbin shrugged, "I just suspected he lived in like a cottage or something. He seems more normal than a hermit, but he could be a smart hermit. But he's our friend either way."

Minho nodded, still wondering where in the world Changbin decided it was okay to allow someone to live in the forest. People only lived in cottages and cabins for short periods of relaxation, unless there old.

Changbin's voice perked up a bit later, "Speaking of Hannie being our friend, why are you so much nicer to him than anyone else?"

Minho tensed up and blushed. "I don't know what you're talking about. Let's just get back home."

He walked away from Changbin in the direction they came as fast as he could.

Changbin pouted, he wasn't going to let this go so easily.

(Back with Han)

It didn't take long for Han to realize that the one lightbulb he got from the store was absolutely useless.

Well maybe not useless, but extremely insufficient. But Han wondered if he could somehow amplify the lightbulbs power and he had Geo teach him what she could about Earth's concept of electricity.

After that, Han was able to use the sun's energy and a couple of cables to amplify the electrical energy in the lightbulb. He had to put a dome around the bulb though because the glass had broke whenever he amplified the bulb's energy. He carved an opening and closing compartment in the dome before putting it on the lightbulb. So he could access the energy easily.

He brought Vera with him and tried to harvest as much energy as he could to add to Vera. When he realized he had taken everything out of the dome, he looked over to Vera's energy determinant.

1%

Han was surprised. He didn't expect Earth's technology to make it that far, but right now he didn't want to question it.

So he knows now that he'll need at least 99 more lightbulbs probably more for back up as well.

Unless he could use other parts from the store as well, which was possible, and Han would go the next day to see what he could use.

Thinking about the store, reminded Han of his promise to Minho. Getting a job? He pondered over the idea. It seemed so strange to him. He didn't know what to do, so he did what he always did.

He grabbed Vera and tried to see if she could help him a little bit at least. Han imprinted his hand on the surface of Vera's tablet's exterior. The screen swirled different shades of purple before finally landing on a page with a line highlighted in green.

Han read the page, Invention Inventory. The highlighted invention was "The Duplicator," which was located it at the front of the ship and a picture of it flashed on the screen before the tablet blinked out.

Han sighed, Goodbye wonderful 1% I worked so hard to create.

Han mused over what the duplicator could help him with. Judging by its name, Han predicted that it would create copies of an object given to it, but it wasn't like Han was doing intergalactic documenting.

Han went to find it before thinking about why he needed it. Han trusted Vera with literally everything. Even with the slightest amount of power, she wouldn't glitch. There's gotta be something I'm not seeing.

As he made his way to the main deck, Han accidently stumbled over the burned-out lightbulb from earlier. He realized that he would have to find a way to dispose of it soon, but he decided to do that later and threw it somewhere on the floor. He instantly regretted that when heard the item crack into a million pieces, but Han once again, decided he'd clean it up later.

Seeing the lightbulb, reminded Han of the other item Minho gave him. He dug in his pocket to pull out the green piece of paper that was causing him annoyance.

He held it in his hand and walked his way to the duplicator and that was when he realized what Vera was trying to tell him.

Han almost screamed in happiness, but it came out more in a relieved shaky breath. He could use the duplicator to duplicate his money. It was that simple that he was so mad at himself for not realizing it before when it was right in front of him.

Problem solved. Now he had money like Minho wanted him to and he didn't have to be dependent on the two anymore in the city.

Han raced to find it which didn't take too much time.

Han had found a cabinet of inventions but freaked out when he saw that most of them were broken. He dug through various thingamabobs and whatchamacallits but he eventually found the machine, a little banged up, but thankfully useable.

Han happily started the machine, letting it scan the dollar bill. It asked how many duplicates it should make. He typed in 150 since he wanted the number to be over a hundred just in case and 50 seemed like a good multiple.

Han clicked start and left the machine to do its business. In the morning he'd go back to the shop and make Minho proud of him.

Han could lie, he really thought Minho was amazing when he first saw him and he still does, but after the interaction, he can tell something between them has been set off.

This was his third time dealing with a human and Han's just surprised he got it this far. Though some friends were easier to make than others, Han wants to cherish them as much as possible. He even wants to make more because even if he is scared and misses home, he's never felt so loved and had so much fun in such a long time.

He was going to leave soon and he didn't want to do that with regrets. He wanted to be happy, and he wanted his friends to be happy (especially Innie).

A/N: Hope you guys liked it! Han's illegally printing his own money, but he's an alien so he's excused. Don't print money luvs I'm not supporting that in any way. Anyway Minho's here. The superior ship Minsung has arrived to make your hearts flutter. Minho's been bias-wrecking me lately and I think you can see that through this chapter 😅
