One Month Later

I've spoken with Katherine from time-to-time whenever I wasn't on the job or doing any matches. It was almost time for the boys and I to make our trip back to Los Angeles, California. I was beginning to feel apprehensive about seeing her for the first time because of the accident that happened last month at the bar.

I started to pack my bags along with Jon and we waited for Joe to say goodbye to his wife and daughter. We had a couple of shows here in Pensacola, Florida where Joe resided in, and we visited his family for a few days until we had to head back on the road to Los Angeles.

"Hey Jellybean." He lifted Joelle into his arms and pulled her into a hug with a smile on his face. "I'll be back soon, alright?"

"I hope so, daddy. I love you." Joelle said.

"I love you too, Sugarplum."

"Be safe inside of that ring, Joe." Galina said while wrapping her arms around him, saying her goodbyes to her husband.

"I will, babe." Joe said while placing a kiss on Galina's lips.

I stood there and watched Joe have the life that I've always wanted. He was a very lucky man to have a woman in his life and a daughter. Maybe someday I could have that same lifestyle; but with Katherine.

"Alright boys, I'm ready to make our trip back to Cali." Joe said to us while walking away from his wife and child, approaching his car.

Still in deep thought, Joe shook my shoulder around while I was zoned out.

"Colby?" He said, concerned.

After realizing that Joe was trying to get my attention, I snapped back into reality.

"Sorry man. I had some things on my mind."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"It's a little personal, Joe."

"Are you sure man?" Jon interrupted.

"I'm fine guys." I said, sternly.

We stepped inside of the car and began our long drive to California. While Joe was driving and Jon fell asleep in the back, I was in a very deep thought again about Katherine while I was twiddling my thumbs and looking down at the floor, staying as silent as a mouse.

"You good?" Joe asked, concerned.

"Not really, Joe."

"It's Katherine, isn't it?" Joe looked at me with a smile.

"Yeah. I need to talk to you since Jon is asleep."

"What's on your mind, bud?" He asked.

"I feel like today's the perfect day to ask Katherine to become my girlfriend. Is it too fast or too soon, Joe?" I worried.

He started to chuckle after seeing me in a small panic.

"It's not too fast or too soon, Colby."

"You're saying that I should ask her out today?" I asked.

"I feel like you should. I can see the love between you two and I feel like this could be the perfect moment, Colby. You need to talk to her the moment we arrive over to her house, alright?"

"Alright." I let a small sigh escape from my mouth. "I will."

Katherine
I found out from Colby that they were on their way today and that they had a show to do in my hometown of Los Angeles tomorrow. I missed being around Colby, Jon and Joe. Although, I've never spent much time with Joe since he's always been busy with his family and with his wrestling career. Maybe I could finally have the time to get to know who he is behind the character of Roman Reigns. Just like I did with Jon behind Dean Ambrose and Colby behind Seth Rollins.

Brianna arrived to my house in excitement that she was finally getting the opportunity to see Jon again. I'm still thankful that she got me into professional wrestling. Without Brianna, I wouldn't have known the three men that changed my life that I met backstage in the WWE.

"Katie! I'm gonna see if Jon will want to have dinner with me tonight!"

"I hope he does, Bri."

She noticed that my demeanor had changed and grew a concerned look on her face, "Something on your mind, Katie?"

I looked up at her. "Yeah, there is."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"You'll be shocked when I tell you this, but I feel like I should start my relationship with Colby."

"You're kidding me, right?"

"I'm not joking around, Bri. I've thought long and hard about this for a month and I've let my abusive relationship with Tony in the past affect the present and almost the future. You were right to tell me to put myself out there more and since I know that Colby has feelings for me, I'll accept if he asks me to be his girlfriend in the future."

"I'm so proud of you, Katie." Brianna said while pulling me into a hug.

We heard a vehicle driving near my home and speaking of the boys, it was Jon, Joe and Colby. We watched as they left the car and walked over towards us.

"Hey girls!" Jon said, hugging Brianna.

"What's up, Katie?" Joe asked.

"Nothing much, Joe!"

"Katherine..." Colby said from a small distance.

Colby looked at me with the warmest smile on his face and he looked as if he was mesmerised to see me while closing the door to the car.

I walked up to him and seen his face growing as red as a tomato.

"You're looking as beautiful as always, Katherine."

"And you're looking as handsome as always, Colby."

He paused and looked down at me with nervousness on his face, anxiously twiddling his thumbs.

"Hey Katherine, I need to talk to you alone about something personal."

"Fine with me." I replied.

"Boys, I'm gonna have a private conversation with Katherine. I'll be back shortly, alright?"

"Fine with me." Joe said, smiling.

Then I noticed Joe mouthing the words, "You got this." With a small nod when we were heading back inside of my house in the meantime.

Joe knew something was about to happen. I was inquisitive and baffled while Colby and I made our way to my bedroom.
